Lynvarr made it a goal to explore the various islands of both Auster and Boreas. As such he found himself in the southern most continent which was currently experiencing its winter. Lynvarr pulled himself up onto a wooden dock and immediately shook the water out of his pelt. He was going to be an excellent swimmer by the time this was all said and done.

There was a strange metal structure nearby, sitting in the water and strange buildings lay along the beach. Cautiously, Lynvarr moved closer to explore. As far as he could tell, these were human relics. They stood there in ruins, their strange and unnatural forms standing in stark contrast to the natural world around them.

It was chillier here in the southern continent with winter's prescence. As per usual, Lynvarr was keeping a weather eye out. He wasn't familiar with the weather of the southern content. As such he couldn't be sure if the drop in temperature had to do with a front starting to move in or the southern winter getting into full swing.

Hanako explored as often as she could, slipping beyond the Armada's borders to venture out into the great wilderness beyond. Perhaps she was selfish, not really pulling her weight, but if anything the Wraith saw it as a chance to stretch her legs and keep herself in tiptop condition. After all, what sort of spy would she be if she was slow and sluggish on her paws? Besides, Sirius hardly was the sort to sit by and allow his subordinates to be lazy and bone idle, he would have barked her into shape by now if he thought she wasn't pulling her weight. And thus here she was, loping through the south till she found herself in Auster, facing yet another island that was practically begging her to explore it. The swim over was easy enough, though the water had a slight chill to it, and Hanako soon found herself wading ashore the mysterious island.

It was far larger than Dagger Isle, almost daunting in how dark and overgrown it was. Salt water dripped from her belly as she pushed her way up the beach, leaving dainty paw prints in the sand as she approached a wooden walkway with its massive metallic thing barely staying afloat. She breathed deep, taking in the scent of salty brine and rust, giving her the impression that this place in all its splendour was hella old. She turned then, glancing over her shoulder as she caught another scent. A fellow explorer?

There was so much stuff here! Lynvarr padded closer to the ship, reaching out a paw and touching the metal with his paw. Strangeā€¦ He paced along side the unusual structure but he didn't see an immediate way in and his attention soon turned to the other strange buildings that lay on the shore. He strode over to one of the smaller buildings and peeked into the door frame. It was a mess inside, full of strange things he didn't recognize. He backed out, unsure if he really wanted to go in. Maybe he should go ahead and mark all this down. He unrolled his map and sketch a line for one side of the structure then just looped in a circle, hoping he'd remember what it meant. He put the map away.

Glancing at the sky he noticed patches of white and gray clouds starting to gather above them. The clouds weren't very tall, which was good. However, they likely meant rain in the near future. He was about to continue when he caught an unfamiliar scent. He glanced around and followed the scent til he spied a soaking wet, calico girl. She must've swam here to. "Hello, I take it I'm not the only one exploring this weird island? My name is Lynvarr, but you can call me Lyn."

Birds of a feather tended to flock together it seemed. Hanako turned, a bright smile adorning her features as she wagged her tail in greeting. Whilst she'd intended to explore alone she was more than open to the idea of having an adventure buddy, even if only for a little while. She nodded as she stepped forth, narrowing the space between them so they were now at a comfortable, conversational distance.

"Hey Lyn, you can call me Hana then." It felt a little cheeky offering her nickname up like that but since he'd given his it was only fair. "And yeah, I saw it in the distance and figured I had to have a nose about." The temptation had been too strong and she'd never been one for holding back impulses.

She turned then, looking to the brownish formation that laid further ahead up the beach. It was large and imposing, like a cave but jagged with sharp edges and straight lines were curves ought to be. But then again the weird metal thing in the water looked tempting to, as though it was begging her to try and find a way in. Perhaps with that wooden ramp over there...

"I was planning to have a look around that thing there, wanna come with?"She gestured with a flick of her snout as she hopped up onto the pier, her nails clicking against the old, weather worn wood. It was a little shaky beneath her paws, far more unstable than she would have liked but she slowly made her way across it's surface, noting the greyish water that swirled beneath. The water had been a bit cold but she wasn't worried about falling in, at least there was that.

A cool, moist breeze started to blow in from the ocean and Lynvarr started to wonder how quickly the front was going to move in. Hopefully not too soon, he still wanted to do a little bit more exploring in this strange place. The girl introduced herself as Hana and explained she was planning to look at the weird caves that populated the island. He nodded. "Yea, that was my thinking as well." He padded along a wooden trail after the girl, leaping up on a nearby platform and wincing as it creaked beneath his weight. Maybe he ought to move a bit more carefully. These buildings looked very old and were likely falling apart. He could see nature moving to reclaim them. The forest grew thick around the buildings. Trees and plants grew around as well as through.

Approaching a nearby hut Lynvarr stuck his head in and peeked around. He really didn't know what to make of the inside. There were more straight angles and edges, counters and tables and strange things he didn't really understand. He padded out of the hunt and unrolled his map. He took a piece of charcoal out of his pack and eyed the map for a moment before drawing little squares to mark the human huts. He looked up at the sky and noticed the clouds were starting to clump together and darken. "Uh oh, hey Hana, looks like a storm might be brewing."

Hanako had wanted to dive head first into her exploration but the weather was taking a turn for the worse, the sky was becoming increasingly more grey with each passing moment. And when her gaze shifted to the sea she could see waves churning in the not so far distance. Curling and roiling so much so that the sea was starting to turn white with foam. She was a strong swimmer but not to the extent where she wanted to wade out into that anytime soon. The sea was shallow in the space between the isle and Auster, but the thought of being swept out into the wide expanse of the ocean was an unpleasant thought. She followed Lynvarr's line of sight to the sheltered and found herself nodding. She'd rather sit and wait out the storm than explore anymore, for now.

"Good call. Maybe we can keep going after it passes?" She wondered aloud as she settled down inside the wooden hut. It smelled like rotten wood, the sea air had done a number on it, rotting it away till the wood was old and worn. But it seemed stable enough, built to last.
