Another Glorious Morning

Pyralis groaned as morning light washed into her den. Golden eyes squinted into the dark at the familiar canyon walls that formed her den. Welp, she was still alive. Old as dirt and destined to keep living for awhile longer. Pyr yawned, wincing as her shoulder creaked and pulled. She'd never imagined living this long and yet here she was at her tenth birthday and still kicking. Pyralis got to her feet and padded out of the den, carefully walking the trail down to the river that carved the canyon from the top down. Alkali took off into the air, gliding down after her.

She'd ultimately separated herself from the rest of the Abraxas, pulled away by her own sense of adventure and wanting see a little more of the world before her spirit was finally claimed. Though every so often she toyed with the idea of trying to adventure back to the homeland to see her brother and her children. Why did they have to be so far away? She settled down and bent her head to take a quick drink before finding a warm spot to rest. Spring was starting to creep into Auster and she looked forward to the warm weather it would bring.
