a whole new wooooorld!
Needless to say, little Ruin loved Abaven and-most of- the wolves who called it home but by now it was all old news. Stuffy and boring, like a story she'd heard one too many times. But the same couldn't be said for the Hallows. Everything, from the scents and sounds, was all so exciting she just didn't know where to start. The moment she'd been given free rein-sort of, by now her family knew that was just asking for trouble- she'd broken out into a puppy sprint, charging along as though her life depended it. There was a lot for her to do and the sooner she got her nose stuck in, the better. Soon enough, Ruin found herself by the spring's edge, splishing and splashing in the shallow puddle that spilled over the edge of the warm and smelly water. She'd had a sip and it had tasted rather uck, to say the least. She recalled someone mentioning that bathing in these waters was good for you but Ruin couldn't see why that was the case and simply chalked it down to the fact that someone was probably trying to make a sly attempt to get Ruin to have a bath. As if she wasn't pretty enough as is, hmph!
Over Daphne’s short life it hadn’t been uncommon for her mothers to bring home extra children, or for them to just suddenly appear, so she didn’t really think much of the sudden appearance of another splashing at the edge of the hot springs. Still though, it was probably her job to help them feel welcome so she stood up tall, puffed out her chest to make herself look... She wasn’t quite sure, more like ma Resin? And attempted to walk closer without her back end snaking all over the place with the waving of her tail. That latter part ended up being a big ol’ failure, but well, she could work on being regal when she was older. "Heya-I’m-Daphne!". She introduced herself with a smile, words running together in her excitement as she offered the newcomer a deep play bow. "Y’prollyshouldngointhere Without a Grown Up.". The last was articulated quiet clearly, the young child obviously parroting back words she had heard often. "I can make you real dizzy!".

Ruin wasn't left splashing for long. She half expected an adult to seek her out and to give her a gentle admonishment that she shouldn't play in water alone, but lo and behold it was a puppy! Ruin craned her neck and squinted, a little miffed that despite their age difference the Hallow's pup was already considerably taller than her. It was one thing for her brothers to loom over her but this, now it was starting to feel very unfair. That matter was soon brushed aside as the Hallow's girl introduced herself as Daphne, all soft and sweet, enthusiasm spilling over the edges like the springs they stood beside.
Ruin swished her tail in turn, playing along for now. Or at least that was until she was told not to do something. Well now she had to do it, just cause. But she never went from 0 to 100, it was too drastic and obvious and if she wanted to have fun she needed to play her cards right.
"I'm Ruin!" And then her tail slowed, eventually falling still. A sure sign she was cooking up trouble. "Naah.I'm older, I know what I'm doin." She grinned as she beckoned Daph close with a flick of her paw, only to splash her right in the face with a devious giggle.
The other wolf did seem more worldly to Daphne, but still her brows drew down in concern. Maybe she did know what she was doing, but still, the girl should probably stay close so she could yell for someone just in case. She didn’t notice the way the other pups tail stopped wagging, because she was too busy looking at her oversized paws and trying to carefully adjust them so she could sit without flopping to the ground. She looked up just in time for the smelly spring water to catch her right in the face.
Her jaw dropped in momentary shock, before a smile cracked her face and her tail began to wave rapidly at her back. Oh it was gonna be like that was it? She gathered her hind legs beneath her and sprang forward, hoping to tackle the other girl into the shallow water. If she wanted to splash about, the small pup might be able to get them both bathed at the same time.

Ruin expected and hoped for some retaliation but she'd honestly thought the Hallows wolf would be too chicken to start anything of her own accord. Her mismatched eyes widened a touch as she noticed the girl's muscles coil and tense, as though she was ready to spring into action. Oh it was on! Like most larger wolves Ruin had fought Daphne made to barrel into her with all of the bulk of her weight, probably in the hopes of knocking her ass into the pool. Well good luck with that. For what Ruin lacked in size and bulk, and she lacked a lot, she more than made up for in agility. She bounded away, prancing on her paws as she skirted aside, aiming to nip at Daphne's left haunch.

The downside to being so big, was that it made you really slow. The girl hardly barrelled as much as she lumbered, and the other wolf’s quick movements were too much for her to keep up with. Warm water splashed up against her undersides as she skidded in her attempt to stop, the sharp nip connecting with her side and resulting in the girl over-reacting and toppling clean over. She was drenched! and if either of her mothers caught her like this she was gonna be in deep trouble! While a little bit of worry did creep into her, she was able to see the funny side of it, and managed a giggle as she shook the water from her face.
She grinned at the other wolf challengingly, using her paw to try and splash water in the other girls face before she tried again. Daphne was still only very young, and quite limited to one trick at the moment, but she had plenty of determination.
