Welcome to the world
Azaric family outing!
Watching their children begin to grow and develop their own personalities had provided quite possibly some of the most fascinating and enjoyable days of his entire life. It had kept him admittedly distracted from any other duties around the pack, but he thought that Resin would understand. He'd get back to them soon enough, but seeing how quickly they were growing and changing had made him realize that if he didn't absorb every single second of it he'd miss out on these days forever. He really only left the den to get food for his family. Otherwise he was right there with Azariah and each of their beautifully unique children from the day of their brith to now... the day they would get to go out and explore. He of course knew that The Hallows had quite a few dangers for young pups with the steep slopes around the falls and the copious bodies of water between the rivers, falls, and hot springs. He had spent a good bit of the days leading up to this one preaching to his children that they had to stay safe and be careful out in the world and to never go too close to the water without he or their mother near by, but he knew that pups would be pups and they would just have to keep a close eye on them as well. With Azariah beside him, he grinned at their pups, mirroring their obvious excitement while they waited to be let loose into the world. "Remember what I told you! And don't go too far - stay where we can see you. And have fun!" With that he pulled back the fur that hung in front of the den's entrance, letting in the early morning light and the cool autumn air. |
Jane was happy now that today would be her first time going outside, outside with her family. She always wanted to know what was out there, beyond the den's entrance and finally, here she was. Staying right by her father as she waited for him to give them the word. "Remember what I told you! And don't go too far - stay where we can see you. And have fun!" She nodded and like a jet she walked out with a bright smile. Those big blue eyes lurking everywhere, finding amusement with what she was seeing, "Prettu!" She exclaimed happily as her tail wagged behind her. Then she spotted something moving, small. A beetle! Quickly she approached and stared at it with wonder. "Hiii!!!" She greeted the bug, ignoring the fact that they didn't speak. "Look Ddady!! A frend!" "Speak" |
The small brindle babe stayed at the mouth of the den she had been born in, watching her siblings intently as they went one by one outside. Today was one she had looked forward to since she learned to walk, which was a bit harder thanks to her stubby nub of a tail, but it was no trouble for the determined girl. As much as she wanted to run headlong into the unknown, Everlyse was still rather cautious of her first outing! She sat by her daddy's paws, looking up between him and her mother as she watched Jane and Emile wonder over a creature. "That thing looks gross, mommy...What is it? Where did it come from?" Moving over to Jane, Eve watched with a crinkled brow and twisted, disgusted expression on her face as the beetle crawled. "What is it doing? Can it talk back to you? Jane, what you gonna call your new thing?" She poked at the shiny black beetle with a nervous claw, making the bug open its wingcase and buzz at the girls. With a yelp, Eve jumped back and away from it, her wide paws and stubby tail making her landing a bit stumbly and she fell back on her haunches. Finding that nothing truly bad had happened, Everlyse broke out into laughter at herself for having been so scared. |
Azariah watched with a unique maternal pride as her children entered the world beyond the den, her rubious eyes glittering as each of them took eager, and tentative steps toward their destinies. Sitting outside, close to Ulric as she could get, Azariah tried not to laugh as the first three made their initial discovery. Their questions amused her, but most of all was Jane's greeting to the beetle she found. "It's called a beetle, my littles, they are not usually dangerous." The last was added for Emile, mostly, and Eve who found it gross. Giving a small laugh, she looked up to Ulric. There was open adoration on her face as she gazed up at him, an expression that begged for a kiss it would seem. Her tail waved behind her as she looked toward the entrance of the den, waiting for the others to come out, giving encouragement if it was needed. Today was so exciting, and the witch glowed with happy pride as her babies made their discoveries. It just couldn't get better than this, a dream she had always held, but that had been forever out of reach. Until now. Joy was too bland to explain how she felt.

Ezra shrugged and trotted off on his own, moving away from where the other three were gathered around the bug, lingering near by just long enough to hear their mother tell them it was called a beetle. He didn't wander off far enough for him to get in trouble since he could still see his parents from where he was standing, but there seemed to be far more interesting things to explore than just a bug. He went to one of the near by trees, following the sound of chittering and squeaking till he was able to turn his gaze upward and spot the fluffy, fat squirrel that was peering down at him from a tree branch. His ears perked with interest and he was about to yell back for his dad to come look when the rodent dropped a nut on his head and it hit his forehead with a soft thump. "Ow!" he called out in response, his look of curiosity quickly changing to one of irritation and annoyance as he glared up at the creature.
