Hattori had never seen a lizard this large before nor had he expected it to be so aggressive. One moment it had been ambling along as a slow but steady pace, it's long body swinging as it moved over the dried earth and the next it was charging him at tremendous speed with maw agape and resentment burning in it's eyes. Apparently Hattori had intruded on it's territory and it was out for blood, he could sympathise almost. Narrowly avoiding it's first lunge, Hattori circled the beast with teeth bared and head dipped down as he threateningly brandished his horns. Bluffing didn't quite do the trick though and thus he amped it up with a slash that only just grazed it's tough skin. This wouldn't be an easy fight, that much was obvious.

Jynn's exploration of the west continued and at one point she found herself looking at a curious island jus off the coast. Feeling fairly confident in her swimming abilities she'd leapt into the water and swam to the strange island. It was an unusual place and the first thing she noticed was that there were a ton of lizards, iguanas, sun bathing. The island seemed to be covered with lizards.

She skirted around the rocky shore when she spied the familiar form of the horned man battling the largest lizard she'd ever seen in her life. She didn't even know they could get that big! Compelled to help she dove in toward the lizard. She seized it's tail and pulled sharply back, hoping to catch it's attention.

Úlfr had seen the leggy woman, Jynn, swimming in the ocean and heading for a strange island. He too had been exploring the west in search of interesting prey sources and materials to craft with. He hadn't thought about exploring one of the nearby islands but he had learned to swim so he decided to give it a shot. He swam after Jynn to an island of lizards. He wondered if there was something he could craft from their hides when he saw the giant lizard and the horned man once more.

When Jynn dove in Úlfr was close behind. He leapt onto the lizard's back, fangs latching onto the back of its neck as he prepared to hang on. It was crazy how thick the lizard's hide was.

As soon as the familiar pair jumped into the fray Hattori knew that he had a fighting chance. With the other's limited the lizards movement, Hattori focused on it's head, only to realise there was no way he'd be able to safely grab a hold of his throat, his ear flicked in a slight show of annoyance but he thought fast and instead used all of weight to press down it's head with his front paws, effectively pinning it down as he clawed and scratched at it's eyes. Sort of. The lizard was far stronger than he'd anticipated and was quick to shake him off, though not before he managed to gouge one of it's eyes thoroughly. Blood rolled down it's cheek as Hattori stepped back, barely pulling his muzzle back in time to dodge it's impressive teeth. It was clear that it'd take more than three wolves to hold it down. Then again, one of the trio was a wolf only in name.

A low and guttural growl rumbled forth from Jynn's throat as she held onto the tail with as much force as she could. She wasn't sure if he lizard would understand the meaning of the growl or not. Now that she thought about it the reptile probably had no idea what she was saying. The lizard suddenly thrashed, twisting and contorting in such a violent motion that no only did Jynn lose her grip but the tail slapped into her sending her rolling onto her side. Jynn didn't panic. Instead she used the momentum to complete the roll and get back to her feet. She didn't want to be down on the ground with her belly exposed to this massive thing and growing up with such long legs she'd gotten used to tripping. By now she knew how to recover and keep going on her way.

Úlfr scissored his jaws as he tried to get a better grip but it was not an easy thing to do. The lizards hide was tough and it seemed to be made of nothing but pure muscle. He had no idea where the important veins and arteries were in this thing and its neck was so thick and muscular he quickly gave up hopes of trying to find them. His efforts were further compounded when the lizard suddenly writhed. It had gone from almost still one moment to a twisting tornado the next. Úlfr was sent flying. He landed on his side with a plop and a yelp from the impact as he collided with hard rock. He twisted and quickly got back on his feet as he eyed the lizard. He could see blood coming from its face and knew that the horned man was succeeding in doing significant damage to their foe.

The others were soon shaken off, bringing the momentum they'd built to a screeching halt. Hattori gritted his teeth, sensing that if he didn't act fast they'd be the ones sent swimming back to the mainland. But what was he to do, biting the usual spots didn't seem all that effective and he doubted the lizard would let him get anywhere near its eyes again. His gaze flickered to the others who were getting back to their paws and then back to the lizard, except that it was no longer on the offensive and instead seemed to be shakily looking around for the best route to retreat. Hattori nodded to the others and decided that their best bet would be to encourage to lizard to leave sooner rather than later. He barked and snarled, darting out of the way to nip at it's sides and tail, as if to say get out of here in a language everyone could understand.

Jynn shook out her coat and eyed the lizard, searching for a point of attack. The thing was massive, strong and solidly built. There weren't many points of vulnerability that she could really see apart from the eyes and she wasn't keen to get that close to the creature's jaws. She watched for a moment as Hattori drew the lizard's attention and it twisted after him. The lizard was fast for its size but not as flexible as say, a cat. She then dove for one of the lizard's back legs, She seized it in her jaws and thrashed her head violently. The lizard twisted toward's her but as she suspected it wasn't able to bend around quite far enough though as it twisted it dragged her forward until she eventually lost her grip but by that time the damage was extensive and the lizard turned as if considering escape.

Úlfr watched the lizard carefully as it twisted and attempted to keep all three wolves within focus. The horned man darted forward, barking aggressively. This was followed by the leggy woman ripping into one of the lizard's hind legs. Úlfr darted forward for the other one. He latched onto the leg and bit deeply, thrashing his head like he was mauling a chew toy until the massive reptile suddenly surged forward and took off across the island rocks. It clearly wanted to get away so he let it go. It would've pulled itself out of his jaws anyway and he watched as it awkwardly waddled away. He licked at the blood on his lips and wrinkled his nose at he taste. Whatever that was he wasn't sure if he'd exactly call it edible but then he was rather picky when it came to reptiles.
