Jane as she grew up more and more, her curiosity grew along with it. She left the den for more time and further as her home had always great things to do. And a place she loved the most were the hot springs, huge pools of water always called for her. To touch it but her instincts always stopped her from doing that. Despite the wish to try, something always stopped her, she didn't know what but she never ignored that inner alarms.

She walked alone through the morning's sun, having those big blue eyes lurking around with hunger for adventure. All was great and she wondered if her siblings would like to explore with her. But as impatient she was she didn't want to wait and like that she went off. With her steps being enthusiastic.

Ezra had gotten into the habit of leaving the den around the same time that his father did early in the morning when he left to do his patrols. It was partially just to spy on his father and see what all the fuss about these patrols was about, but also so that he could see everything waking up. The sun rising, the dew on the grass starting to dry, the birds in the trees starting to wake up and make noise... he liked all of that stuff. Plus, it got him out and away from the den before most of his siblings woke up so that satisfied his independent soul and his desire to be on his own first thing in the morning. It made all the time he spent with them toward the end of the day a bit easier so that his day was more balanced.

Now that the sun was fully up and the rest of the pack and seemed to get started with their days as well, it was harder to wander around and explore without bumping into someone else. That was fine by him - one or maybe two other wolves was a lot easier to handle than a whole bunch all at once. Besides... he still had to make sure his siblings were okay and weren't getting hurt or something, right? So he tried to at least sneak a peek at each of them throughout the day just to make sure they were alright, even if he didn't interact with them a whole lot. Today though, he was a bit more in the socializing mood than usual and when he found Jane near the Hot Springs he went toward her rather than going the other way.

"Hey, Jane," he said as he trotted over to her, noticing how energetic and excited she seemed - though that seemed to kind of be her normal state. "What're you up to?"

As she went further, her tiny paws got her to one of the springs that gave the place its name. Eyes widened in wonder and part of her wished to go in and discover what it felt like. But on the other hand, she wasn't sure, but not like she was that aware of the dangers of swimming being this young. But what she could do? The curiosity was soon making her dismiss what her instincts were telling her. She approached but stopped just by the edge looking down to the smoking water.

But before anything her brother's voice, just in time as he soon made her interest in swimming fade into the air. Her tail swan happily as she approached him. "Hey, Ezra!" She greeted cheerfully as she looked into his eyes. "I was explorin' and you? Wish to com' with meh?" The adventure could be even greater in the company of her brother.

Her excitement and energy was always at least a little bit infectious and he found himself smiling a bit when she greeted him with just as much enthusiasm as he had imagined she would. Of their siblings she always seemed to be the happiest. When the option of going on an adventure with her came up he hummed with consideration for a moment. It wasn't like he had anything else to do and they certainly weren't expected back at the den any time soon so he couldn't really think of a reason not to. "Okay!" he replied with a firm nod that said he had made up his mind and there was no changing it now. He supposed he really should be spending more time with his siblings anyway - or at least that's what his father kept telling him.

"What kind of explorin' did you wanna do?" he asked as he looked toward the steaming water that she had been examining when he walked up to her. "Have you swam in the warm water yet? I saw some of the grown ups laying in it, but I haven't tried it yet." All the adults always warned them about going into the water, but if they got to do it why couldn't the two of them? It wasn't like it looked all that deep either! He daringly reached out a paw and poked at the surface of the water and his ears perked with surprise when he felt how warm it was. He knew it was a hot spring and all, but still! Feeling it was different than hearing about it!
