While investigating this unknown place, it seemed that something had been investigating Chimera as well. A low hiss emanated from the shadows beneath a pile of rubble. The black and white young wolf turned, mismatched eyes shifting to seek out the creator of the sound. The day was cloudy and rain threatened to fall. Far off, thunder rumbled. The muted light made detecting activity a little difficult, especially for one that had limited vision. As Chimera approached the wreckage, the hiss sounded again. The boys obsidian tail curled above his spine and he growled low. A strange crinkling sound met the boys mismatched ears. A moment later a massive snake slithered out from beneath the pile of twisted metal. Its eyes were cloudy and bits of old skin clung to its green and grey body. He'd seen this kind before. And he'd killed it. The Anaconda curled its body into an S shape, ready to strike. Its vision was less than perfect thanks to the eyecaps that hadn't yet sloughed off. It evened the playing ground. As the reptile struck, Chimera jumped out of the way. One big paw rose and he slapped the snakes face away much like a cat. His blood began to heat. This was going to be enjoyable. "Snarl"

Pale paws carried the boy over the cold ground, winter was falling fast, much of the wildlife was migrating south and Hikaru had a mind to go with it. He was very nearly sure he had endured enough snow for the rest of his life. The cold wasn’t all bad though, winter coats came in, the world was resting, and it made close contact so much sweeter. The young koi shook his head of the thought as he walked. Ay kind of thinking about his family soured his mood. As they cast him out so did he cast them from his mind.

He’d make his own name for himself, maybe he was not meant to be a shinobi but he’d find his path somehow. His focus was dragged this way and that by the different bits, bobbles, and wreckage that littered the landscape. Moreso though, the massive frame of another wolf.

Kaiyo felt curiosity draw him closer, and his stormy eyes blinked in surprise at the sight of the massive serpent. Was this some kind of dragon? Much like he did for a few others of Boreas birth Hikaru aimed to join in combat. The black and white wolf could have managed on his own, but taking on any snake was better with two sets of teeth. Hikaru aimed to distract the beast from behind and scored its tail with his own pearly teeth.

As he tackled the front end, a multi-hued wolf tackled the back end. His teeth bit into the snakes tail and the giant serpent turned and hissed aloud, striking at the other wolf without really aiming. Chimera took this opportunity to attack again. Leaping forward, he moved up the length of the snake, jumping upwards to try and bite the neck just behind the head. His bite was a bit off and the snake was able to turn. It simultaneously began to pull its body inward so that it could coil around Chimera. Well... he wasn't into that. Releasing his hold on the snake, the black and white boy jumped ran a few paces off, just out of striking range. He had to rethink his strategy here. Chi spared a glance at the other wolf, wondering what his next attack would be. Then he could plan accordingly. "Snarl"

Hikaru didn’t hesitate to jump into the fray, especially when the oddd marked man looked like he could use some back up with such a massive snake. Kaiyo hadn’t ever faced anything so mighty before, but this land was filled with new encounters. As his teeth connected to hard unyielding scales, the snake doubled back over to strike towards him. Thankfully its aim wasn’t incredible and Kaiyo managed to scamper away.

He moved just as Chimera leapt for the snake’s head and got himself away just in time. With paws that danced over the ground he kept his silvery eyes on both the other wolf and the half shed anaconda. Kaiyo shifted his weight as he prepared another attack, the dual toned man having gotten the snake nearly around the neck. Not well enough though, and as the anaconda began to curl the massive wolf released it.

The koi took his chance and jumped in yet again, aiming for the tail as he had last time, aiming to harass and harrow to keep its attention on him.

A repeat performance. The spotted wolf nipped at the snakes tail, pulling its attention back to him. This time Chimera had more time to get close and choose his attack spot. With the anaconda fully distracted, Chi went so far as to step over one of its coils to get as close as he needed. Muscles bunched and he let fly, leaving the ground with jaws open wide. Teeth once again found their mark on the snakes neck, but they closed hard directly behind the bulge of the reptiles skull. The anaconda's mouth opened wide and it began to struggle but Chi never let his hold slip. The two-toned boy worked his jaws hard and blood filled his mouth. Gradually, the snake began to lose strength and all four of Chi's paws touched earth. He thrashed his head back and forth, rending huge wounds that eventually ended the life of his opponent. Chimera dropped the lifeless snake, his bloodied jaws open as he panted roughly. That fight had taken a lot out of him, so he could only spare a nod for the spotted wolf that had come to aid him in his fight. "Snarl"

It was best not to fix what wasn’t broke, and though repetitive Hikaru stuck with what worked. He was quick enough that he didn’t quite make it through the scales, however it was enough of a distraction that Chimera could do what he wanted. Kaiyo kept doing what he was doing, keeping the attention of the snake while the bigger wolf lined up a deadly shot. The anaconda was quick to react as well, and Hikaru switched his tactics to keeping the massive curls of muscle from wrapping around Chimera’s body.

Hikaru didn’t know how long he could handle the mass amount of muscle, but sooner than he expected the strength left the incredible muscles and the massive snake descended into darkness. The wolves were awarded their mass of flesh.

Kaiyo couldn’t say he’d ever eaten snake, he wondered if this one would taste like swamp. The skin could be used too.. Stormy eyes turned up to the massive man, a victorious grin playing on Hika’s pale features. ”Good game, friend.” He spoke as he realized how out of breath he’d become. ”Do you need help hauling it somewhere?” Not that he doubted the massive man’s abilities.

The smaller wolf's words stopped Chimera's breath simply from the sheer audacity of the boy. "Friend?" he growled low. Who did this fish wolf think he was? Chimera could kill this wolf as easily as he had killed the snake. The boy meant nothing to him. No one did. Just Siren. Not even Venom or his mother meant anything. Just Siren.

Chimera blinked again as the wolf asked if he needed help carrying the snake. Who would want such a thing? "No," was the simple reply. What was wrong with people? Couldn't someone just kill something to kill it these days? Shaking his head, Chimera turned and began to walk away from the other wolf. He was done here. There was no point in sticking around to talk about it. He was such a good conversationalist, after all.

The koi boy didn’t flinch even as Chimera revealed his prickly exterior. His growl and questioning statement did make Hikaru much more on guard. He’d seen the way the dual toned man fought, and he was confident in his own ability to stay out of his jaws. They were both tired after the fight though, and Kaiyo didn’t have to let the worry drown him. Still, he was on guard now.

Hikaru also quickly realized that the man didn’t want to keep the corpse. He tried to hide the excitement that bubbled up as he realized he’d get to keep the whole thing. Chimera denied him and turned to go back to whatever hell hole he had been birthed from. Hika smirked slightly but shrugged off the interaction. His loss.

Once Chimera was gone Hika laboriously coiled the dead snake around his body and very carefully made his way back to the Armada with his prize.
