This had been his fault. One little misstep had pushed all of the pieces into play and now here he was, facing off against a bear. The wolf that he'd been hunting with was dead. His body lay broken and bloodied beneath the paws of the giant grizzly. It would have been easy to turn and flee, but that wasn't the kind of wolf Chimera was. Battle was in his blood. Rage fueled his every action. The pair stared each other down, neither wanting to be the one to make the first move until they had time to learn the opponent. Eventually, Chimera's lips peeled back and he snarled low. That was all that the bear needed. Pushing off of the corpse, it rushed the black and white young wolf. Chimera was faster. He darted to the side, teeth sinking into the bears hind leg. The creature groaned and turned, swiping out with one giant paw. It clipped Chimera's hip and he went skittering away. He tried to quickly regain his balance before the bear could smash him into the ground. "Speech"

Viper still wasn’t comfortable with leaving the lands of Ashen. It mostly came down to her imprisonment from her past and her recent encounter with Fireside. It seemed she was either stuck inside a pack against her will or just simply dumb enough to trespass in one. But she made her way out to the one land she knew she could find game in nearby, the prairie.

Though she would be surprised on her stroll to find a wolf under attack of a blood lusted bear, and as she looked down at the crushed corpse nearby and the brute now face to face with the beast, it gave her a flash back to her own recent encounter with a bear in the north. She was much healed from that now, but she still wasn’t really up for another round against the giant creature.

Still, looking at her pack mate that she didn’t really identify as Ashen, she had her hopes up that with the help of herself with him would be enough to take down the bear if not give them enough time to escape.

As the beast roared over the large brute, viper ran up at full speed and leaped off the ground with her much smaller body, grabbing ahold of the beast’s neck in attempt to at least divert it’s attention onto her. She swung on it’s scruff for a few seconds before unlatching and gaining her footing to look towards the brute to see what his plan would be. Run or fight? She’d have to know quick while the bear’s attention was on her.

He didn't know this woman. He didn't know most of the wolves of Ashen. They didn't really matter to him. He could fake it when he had to, but really he didn't want to know any of them. They meant nothing to the two-toned boy. Even so, he was at least a little thankful that there would be two wolves against this beast. As the woman bit into the bears neck, the beast raised up on its hind legs. The woman dropped and moved back to watch for the bears next move but Chimera was already upon it. He wasn't ashamed of taking advantage of a males weaknesses. Lunging forward, jaws wide, Chimera wrapped his jaws around the bears giant, swinging balls. The ursine squealed in pain and dropped back to the ground, haunches dropping to the ground. Chi circled back behind the bear. His mouth was full of blood and he spat at least part of one shredded testicle onto the ground. The bear, eyes wide, began to run away from the scene. Ah, but Chimera wasn't done with him yet. "Speech"

The brute was quick to proceed on with the beast’s killing and Viper would catch on rather quickly as well. As Chimera went around to the bear’s genitals Viper would jump around to face the bear head on, attempting to distract it waiting for her fighting companion to go in for his move. She didn’t see any meaning in taking its balls considering she barely even knew what sex in general was, but she wouldn’t question. Whatever he did had the beast high tailing it. But the dire wolf wasn’t willing to let it get away.

Viper would run after the bear as Chimera did. Her still frail frame not making it easy to keep up but with all the weight the bear pulled, she was able to manage. She had never killed a bear, only fended one off and escaped before it killed her first. But the only place she knew to go in for a kill shot on this thing was it’s throat. It didn’t have thin legs like a dear and if she even attempted to trip it up, it would probably crush her. So when she was able to run up past it’s shoulder, she would jump forward to grab at its neck again best she could. Hopefully the brute was well versed in predator kills or at least following the bear’s lead and wouldn’t just leave her to die with it. He would have room to go in for its throat if that’s how he chose to take it down. Or maybe he has something more exciting in mind. Either way, the beast was going to die today.

Was the bitch fucking crazy? She ran at the bear and launched herself not only at it, but at its throat for gods sake. Didn't she realize that he was chasing it off? He wasn't trying to kill it. It would be an unrealistic expectation. If she wanted to kill herself though, he wouldn't stop her. He didn't know this woman and she meant nothing to him, so if she died, she died. Chimera ran after the bear, sinking his teeth into its hind end. Again the bear dropped low, a moaning growl leaving its maw. When it looked as though the ursine had been sufficiently terrified, the boy let go. His pace slowed as he watched the beast continue to run away. Chimera had won the day. He had expected no less. "Snarl"

Viper was latched on by the beasts throat, and luckily the creature was too terrified of the brute for taking it’s balls that it paid little mind to Viper as a tiny leech. But Viper wouldn’t be able to finish the job without her companion’s help. And it would take her a hot minute to realize that Chimera was no longer in pursuit of the giant monster.

Well that was rather rude. Just her thought as her floating body was pulled off by the bear. He had no real care that she could have been very well dragged off for dinner and hibernation. Not that Viper realized that they were from the same pack but was that how pack mates were supposed to treat each other?

She let go of it’s throat and tumbled a little bit from the momentum, but she would regain her balance again quickly. She’d watch as the beast took off into the distance, and only side-eyed the male with nothing to say. After all, there would be no thanks to give considering he was about to just let her die as if that was her choice of death.
