She’d had to skirt new pack borders, though she recognized Harbringr and Deathbelle among the scents, though a younger woman seemed to be the alpha, judging by scent, and pregnant.

After she was clear, so began finding the trail, and then following the tunnel up and up, mostly from memory, until she came out into the snow-buried courtyard. She breathed in the thin, high-altitude air, letting out a sigh as she made her way slowly across the yard and into the temple.

The fountain, kept unfrozen by constant running water, trickled, the noise chiming softly through the air. Her paws made the lightest scuff of pad on the stone floor, and soon, she sat before the fountain, in a clear shaft of moonlight, letting her eyes close and her mind to slow, and clear.

She found a rhythm of breathing, and settled into it. The peace of the temple surrounded her, filled her. She hadn’t any real fears or worries, but it never hurt to center oneself and to prepare. She would have to bring the pack here at some point, though fitting Taliesyn into the tunnels would be a problem. Perhaps he would find an alternate route?

She let her thoughts trail and wander, and, eventually, grow quiet.
