He was making very good time with the pace he had set, traveling from the Vericona Plains late yesterday evening to the edges of what seemed to be an oasis just as the night sky began to lighten. The Spirit had granted him permission to get familiar with the surrounding lands for the next few days and he was trying his best to travel far with a fast pace but also memorize landmarks as he went. The sand changed from soft and shifting to more sturdier earth as grass began to grow and become thicker the closer he got to the waters edge. His oceanic blue eyes looked up at the tall palm trees that were scattered around the pool of fresh water and he knew that this place must have been a godsend to those who traveled the desert in the summer time. Drachen padded up to the waters edge and lowered his head to drink the cool water and once he had his fill he made a makeshift nest out of the thick grass under a palm tree. He would need a few moments of rest before he was to continue on his mission in the time frame he was determined to adhere to.
He was woken from sleep some time later when his dark ears caught the sound of approaching paws in the sand and at first the male did not move, only opening his dark blue eyes to look around to see who was approaching. His earthen nose twitched as he softly drew in the air into his nares to catch scent of who ever it was. He was no longer in Valhalla territory and while he did not expect to be attack while out and about, it would have been naive of him to brush off the possibility all together. With his head still resting on his dark paws, he could not see much of who was coming near, except for a glimpse of white fur but the scent that soon filled the air had him lifting his head from his paws over the grass he was resting in. He was not familiar with this individuals scent but the scent that clung to her was certainly of Valhalla. "Hi there!" He called out in his soft tones, his eyes finally finding the woman, a small but warm smile dancing on his lips. "Oh forgive me, I'm Drachen. I am the recent newcomer to Valhalla." Even though he was the newest member to join, already he carried the scent of Valhalla on his pelt.
