Emptiness was everywhere. The sky held no stars; the moon was nowhere to be seen. Above was just a black whole. The scenery below was nonexistent it had been miles since the last tree or bush. All that had past was sand that filled the coat and lungs with dust and rocks that when stepped on the wrong way shot pain through a leg. Wind was scares but when it came, it brought no scent of what lay ahead. One could only assume that the emptiness continued.

The only thing that the night held was a wolf. Her pelt was a variation of browns and blacks with white on her undercarriage. Eyes, one full of life but now empty just like their surroundings where a deep yellow, looking ahead but not really seeing. Her medium built frame was sulked her tail touching the ground below. She was a heartbreaking sight to behold, especially if you knew who she was four months ago.

Makatza, was once the heir to the Virulent Pack her parents where Alphas in their prime. But a power struggle tore the pack apart and left Katza?s father dead and her and her mother seeking refuge in a neighboring pack. Here the high born female fell for the wrong wolf and through a series of events ended up on her own looking for the black wolf she fell for. But despite her three months of searching Makatza came out empty handed. The once proud and hotty wolf had faded. Her tail was no longer held high, and her eyes once full of hope and promise where desperate and hostile. It was the three months without companionship and the loss of both her family and potential lover that turned Makatza into a shadow of what she had once been.

However has she marched forward leaving the place she had last seen her black companion, the scent of other wolves pulled her forward. She entered this new land and her body seemed to perk up. Her tail slightly rose with excitement. Her head moved upward as she smelled the air. Her yellow eyes still empty but not as hopeless took in their surroundings. The scenery here was still slightly bare, yet it held ponds and a few bushes. Makatza made her way to the pond every step was slow, but as soon as she reached the edge she jumped in. The water felt cool and refreshing on her dusty coat. After a few moments Katza emerged on to the bank and made herself comfortable in the reeds. She knew it would only be a matter of time before someone crossed her path.

He had been to the battlefield all of once. When Adette had come to try and dethrone his brother. It had been an interesting feature, but everyone knew that in the end Gerhardt would be prevalent. And, as it came to be, he was. A smile daunted his inky lips as he crossed the threshes and made his way across the native land. He remembered the pungent odors and the distasteful view of landscape. A great battle had clearly once taken place, and Gideon thirsted to know exactly what that battle was. Not in a violent way, but the man was curious, and was there any story more interesting than that of what would lead to such violence? It was something that was undo-able and Gideon knew that both sides would have had something more to attain...were there only two sides? Everything had so many possibilities.

The land was crawling with the odor of vagabonds, their virulent attempts to claim the land and make it their own truly sickened him. Lips furled slightly as the scent of another crossed him and he immediately diverged and attempted to get to her. Nails idly clicked, with each step, as he padded across the stony terrain. The fields were sparse and broken, and besides, being on the stony part gave him a break from the constant threshes and flowery nature of Valhalla. Seeing the rogue woman gave him even more of an understanding, of sorts, than anything had so far. She was alone. Taken by life. She was probably going to die. Well, the least he could do was offer to help himself whilst helping himself.

Eyes trailing the body of the rogue he immediately snorted and gave a rough introduction, tail assumed the dominant position and he asked her the ever common question, "Do you seek assistance?"

As she lay near the lake, Katza?s mind began to wander; no matter how hard she tried she could not stop thinking of him. Most often she found her ?self back to the day everything went to hell. Her mother?s betrayal, Sloan?s bloody body, the smirk on the other pack members faces, the time she had to wait to find him. However this time her brain emerged itself in the first day Sloan spoke to her. As her brain brought bake the memories Makatza?s breathing slowed, and her body tuned out, it was as if she was in a trance.

Like any other day Makatza went on her game of hide and seek to find the black wolf. It was more difficult nowadays for she not only had to try and find Sloan, but be sure other members of the pack were not following her and wouldn?t be able to find her. Eventually the she wolf found her target and assumed her position.

Over the last few months she was able to get closer to Sloan, but she still stayed out of his reach just in case. Making herself comfortable Katza curled into a ball, today wouldn?t be a day that she would talk to Sloan. Little did she know that it would be he who broke the silence.

?Do you seek assistance?? Makatza?s body immediately came to life. Her ears perked up and her legs sprung up from underneath her. She was a medium built wolf, who from the lack of a pack was now on the skinner side. The brown hairs on her shoulders rose and she turned to take in the sight of the speaker.

Her eyes, took in every bit of his body. He was much larger than her now skinny and un-muscled frame. His pelt was a mixture of browns and reds he had an attractiveness about him for sure. But this she wolf did not take notice. She took in his posture, head and tail where high assuming the dominant position. If it was the old Makatza standing in front of this male, she would have mocked his stance and seen how far she could push him. But now all Katza wanted was company, even though she was a high born bitch she knew her past did not matter here. She would start from scratch and prove herself, her hunting and skills could get her far.

However, she wasn?t just going to roll over and be the red ones subordinate, she still had some sense to her. Katza?s rose her tail slightly, making sure to hold it no higher than the males. She wanted him to know he wasn?t going to be able to push her.

?Assistance? No.? His words did puzzle her, but then again she forgot how weak and frail she looked.
?But perhaps some company? I am Makatza. I have traveled a long way and been on my own for quite some time. ? She hoped this meeting would lead to something more than what she had now, perhaps a pack. A place she could call home, and eventually find herself again.

he didn't understand why a woman would want to be in such a place and ask for socialization. The battlefield was most common for claiming going underway, and it often resulted in rather regretable happenings between characters. Still, he had to stay here and stay strong else she would have been left to the ravenous creatures that so sought to wound those that did not seek wounding. Tongue rolled over inky lips and a hearty laugh rumbled through the lad, "How about we don't speak here, hm? It's not safe for rogue women, and a male would love to claim you, sweetheart,"

He was suave in most things that he did, brimming in self confidence and the ability to really display anything he wanted, but alas, he would not, and he would retreat to silence. She would choose to come or she would choose to go, but regardless of if he decided to rank her and get her somewhere efficient he swallowed back and shrugged his shoulders, "Valhalla is a huge plain, ruled by myself and Chyrsanthe Adravendi..." eyes found her own and he nodded his head to her, "if you wish to make an honest life out of what you have, feel free to come with me," he would propose a decent home to her, and it was, honestly, the best he could do.
