The sun was up, Rudy peeled open his eyes seeing how lighted the room was.  The sun would have already started rising up in the sky and he imagined some other wolves were already started in daily activities.  Rudy used to wake up early but the later he started to hunt at night the more his schedule changed unless he had to wake up early for some form of work.

Rudy let out a large yawn as he got up, shaking out his coat and the webs of tiredness left in his body.  After a minute he felt fully awake as he imagined all there was to do today.  The first activity on his list was to go see his sister.  Rudy had noticed Gwyn didn’t seem to leave the castle grounds much if at all and that was going to change. He jogged to her room, it was a funny-looking room to him but seemed to have plenty of pockets for his sister to put stuff in. “Hey Gwyn,” he called out to his sister, “Guess what? I’m taking you to a really fun spot.”  Ask if she wanted to come? Why do that?

“You’re gonna love it.  I cooouulldd tell you why, but I think it should be a surprise.  You’ll never want to leave.” The young motley grey wolf grinned towards her.  “New favorite spot even maybe.” She needed to see what a great land they were surrounded with.  Behind him Savage his Tasmanian devil had caught up.

Gwyn was in the middle of cleaning a few pieces of cloth she had scavenged from around the castle so that she could use them for cleaning wounds or to use as bandages when she heard her brother's voice calling for her from the doorway. Her head popped up with surprise, her mint and lavender eyes blinking with confusion. Taking her somewhere? "Um..." He wasn't really giving her a whole lot of choice in the matter and before she could even respond Eilwen piped up from the ladder she typically perched on near the window. "An adventure then!" the white raven cheered, taking off with a couple flaps of her wings and landing on Gwynevere's shoulders. "Sounds like a splendid idea!"

The healer's ears flicked and she gave an uncertain glance over her shoulder at her companion with a frown. Eilwen was always nagging her to get out more, interact with the pack more, spend more time with her siblings... But what was so wrong with just staying here and working on her craft? At least it was safe here, right? But between Rudy's insistence and Eilwen's enthusiasm there didn't seem to be a way out of it. She looked back at her brother and gave him a small smile as she sighed and chuckled. "Alright, alright..." She got to her feet, dropping the cloth she was working on before getting up and walking toward the door with Eilwen still perched on her back. "Will you tell me where we're going at least?"

Rudy grinned when Eilwen decided to help him encourage Gwyn to have some fun.  Geeze what did his sister find fun about staying inside all the time?  Even if it was working more than playing she could at least find a job that was fun.  Her current task looked anything but fun.

“If I tell you where it won’t be a surprise.” Rudy backed up out the entrance but kept his eyes on her to make sure Gwyn followed and didn’t take her time dilly-dallying over unimportant matters.  It just wasn’t right for her to spend so much time around the castle when there were so many wonders around them.  “I’ll give you the smallest of hints.  We are not going to the beach.  I don’t want to even test how cold the water is out there.”

Savage, his little Tasmanian devil came into view, charging forward, the mini-marsupial having something of a hop-jog to its steps. It gave a snarl cry at Rudy before a single word, “up,” given to the wolf.

Rudy gave a roll of his eyes but lay down so Savage could hop up, grab some fur and climb up onto his back.  Rudy stood back up as the small creature sat on Rudy’s back, little hands grabbing small clumps of fur as it sat there.  “Oh, and you will have to cross some snow to get there.” The last was said teasingly as where exactly would they go to not cross snow right now? Rudy was glad they had moved, from what he understood it would have been even worse up north.

Gwynevere frowned when Rudy insisted that he couldn't tell her because then it wouldn't be a surprise. "Yes, exactly," she insisted as she continued to prompt him for information. The whole reason she wanted to know was so it wouldn't be a surprise. Eilwen tapped her on the top of her head with her beak and Gwyn scowled up at the white raven. What was so wrong with wanting to know where she was going and having a well thought out plan for everything? She didn't get the excitement around this whole surprise adventure thing. It seemed dangerous if anything and she knew how often Rudyard was always getting himself into trouble. This seemed exactly why in her mind. She paused just long enough before she left her room to sling her satchel on. If she was going to be going out she might as well have some essential healing items with her - just in case. Plus, if they happened to find anything she could collect then she'd have a way to carry it back with her.

She scowled when he gave her the worst hint of the fact that they weren't going to the beach. Perfect, that was one of hundreds of places he could be taking her. Gwyn was momentarily distracted from her disgruntled response to being kidnapped away from her room by Rudyard's companion running toward her brother with a short demand for "up". She grinned and chuckled as she watched her brother crouch down so the Tasmanian devil could climb onto his back. She was reminded of her annoyance when Rudy made another "hint", this time telling her that they would need to cross some snow to get there. "Everywhere is covered in snow!" she replied with a sigh, resigning herself to her fate as she followed behind Rudy. It was too late to resist now so she just had to give in and join in on this adventure.
