The beginning. The start of a new day, of a new life. Alaria padded slowly through this empty land, searching for what? She did not know. A home? No, too simple. Ria was filled with an anger to thirsty to quench. The fire lipped at her heart, yearning to break free. And once again, the young femme pushed it down, choosing to ignore the feelings raging through her vulnerable heart. Perhaps she was searching for an end to the miserable pain she had felt ever since the death of her adoptive mother. Not suicide; suicide was simply too permanent. And as desolate as Alaria was feeling, she was far too strong to ever feel like suicide was the only answer. Alaria shook her head aggressively, her triangular ears flopping on each side of her elegantly shaped head. She hated that she was even slightly weak enough to ponder these thoughts. Nobody ever knew the turmoil that seethed underneath Ria's skin, of course. To anyone who came in contact with her, Alaria was a snarky brat who needed an attitude adjustment. Few could dig themselves under her skin, but when they did, they saw a completely different side of Alaria, one that she kept locked away close to her heart.

Taking a deep breath, Alaria flopped herself down onto a large, flat rock to soak up some of the sun's blistering rays. It was a beautiful spring day, the sky a clear, cloudless blue, slowly fading to pinks and oranges as the sun began to set. The temperature itself was not that high, but Alaria was panting in her thick coat. She rolled over onto her back so as to block the sun from heating the ebony fur that hugged her slender body like a cloak. The soft white of Ria's underbelly absorbed much less heat, effectively cooling her down. As she lay there, amber eyes glinting in the fading sunlight, Alaria watched an eagle soaring through the sky. The majestic bird hardly flapped, flying through the sky with minimal effort. Alaria's eyes followed the eagle as it circled, her ears listened as it screeched. Suddenly the bird swooped down, diving towards the ground at almost a ninety degree angle. Awed by the majesty and grace, Alaria rolled over and jumped to her feet in one swift movement. She raced off, hoping to meet the eagle is it landed.

Alaria was not sure what she was running for, or running towards. All she knew was that she had to see that eagle up close. Her wolf eyes saw the predatory bird clearly and in perfect detail, but Ria wanted, no, needed more. As a wolf of less brute force and more speed and cunning, Alaria raced across the plain at speeds most wolves would give their left ear to possess. That was one of the few attributes that Ria liked about herself; her speed. Her finesse. Her quick reaction time and sly cleverness. All related to speed. Within seconds, Alaria met the eagle. And for a few precious, time-stopping seconds, they made eye contact. In those few seconds of staring into the sharply golden eyes of a god on the wing, Alaria saw infinity. She saw the endless azul of the open sky, the tiny specks below her that were prey and predator alike. Then the moment was over, and the eagle snatched up the mouse it had been targeting and swooped back into the sky. Ria skidded to a stop, her haunches dragging in the sandy soil, throwing up a cloud of choking dust. Blinking her amber orbs against the grains of dirt, Alaria waited for the cloud to clear. When it did, Ria looked up, but the eagle was gone. But where there had been something missing in Alaria's heart, there was something new. There was hope.

Every sinle time she tried to think it hurt. No matter how any days had passed those memories would not return. Why? Why did this happen to her? She didn't even know who she was. A least she knew she was a wolf and how to hunt. The white figure seemed to glide over the baren land, stained with blood. Whose or how it happened she would never know. It would seem many came here, shed blood, maybe even died here. She swore she could feel the pain and suffering through her paws from the ground. Every detail about this place told a story. Some bits were missing, but one could eaily fill in the blanks. And why was she even here? She did not know. Perhaps she had nothing better to do, or maybe something was pulling her here.

Why, just why was everything a blank to her? She could growl and howl out her anger and fustration, but what was the use? No one could help her with this. I am Keita Inuya. I am a wolf. I don't come from here. I am four years old. I am blind in one eye. She thought to herself. The world around her was silent, even her paw steps, as they always would be. There was something about that she knew had come from her past. She knew for some reason one just didn't glide or float the way she did as she moved. One deep forest green eye peered about her carefully. The heat was not much today, but non the less she would need to search out water soon. The flap of wings rustled the hairs of her ear. It was on her blind side, making her nervous. She couldn't help the natural reaction to tense up and be ready to bear her teeth. Though half her sight was gone, hear hearing had sharpened. The thrumming of running paws had her twist her body quickly. It was just then an eagle and another wolf were at her side. She watched the eagle take off, the other, a female, watching it. As the dust cleared, the white ghost of a wolf remained still and silent. One good eye taking every thing she could about the other. Tail raised in a neutral level but showed she was not one to be easily dominated. Short fur ruffled in the spring breeze. If it had not been for her eye blinking once, one might think she wasn't real.

isardis

The silver ghoul would float the fluctuations of barren landscape with seamless ease, strides as light as the beating of butterflies? wings as the supernatural being would waft endless scenery. The taunting aroma of vixens had caused a change of path, the beasts somewhat aimless afternoon meander rapidly gaining determined purpose. Previously void grassland seemed to shift, harks swivelling with interest as the drumming of paws accompanied the beating of predators wings. Sweeping the plain, a fae, charcoal and silver flashing like monochrome lights against pale forest-green. Ahead of her loomed the torpedo-like corpse of a fleeting eagle, its agility and magnificence that of unrivaled skill in comparison to the lady that so eager pursued. Her speed were undeniable, athletic form managing to impress the phantom that haunted nearby, though still a bemused chuckle would tremble from cherry lips; entertained by the ladies somewhat unlikely attempts.

Looming before him would appear the silhouette of a silver woman, dust parting in her wake as she too would observe the other lady with apparent apathy. Unlike Isardis, who found an undeniable pleasure from watching the darker wench try and fail, this eerie figure seemed far more content remaining void and puzzling, watching with avid mystery as the other would impede before her. Perfect, both of them in one place; just what he needed. And so the pallid ghoul would continue, extended tail sweeping the earth behind him as he would waltz, grace pooling his toes, elegance dripping from his pores. The alluring angel would pause a metre from the duo, lightly swaying on the spot as if the gentle breeze had such a power over his paper-thin being, wry leer folding the corners of pale lips, ?That was quite the show, darling. Though I don?t feel as if your friend here is quite as impressed as myself,? weak chuckle would effervesce from shallow pipes, ruby gaze shifting between the ying-yang pair with mild interest. They would be returning to Glaciem with him, there would be no denying it.
