par for the course

Tyrian was on the hunt for land to graze Fireside's herds. Normally he would consider the Prairie a bit too far and treacherous a trek for his critters, but he was getting a bit desperate. If he had to march them over a mountain or through a swamp to feed them through this blasted winter-summer that would just be par for the course. With narrowing options he wasn't sure what else to do. Pointedly he kicked at a snow covered lump, fully expecting it to be a rock or some other inedible thing, and was pleased when it gave way easily beneath his paw to reveal tall albeit bent and brown grass. It would do. This and the Gulley at his back might just be enough to sustain the goats and sheep. He'd just have to pull quite a few of his wolves in and together they'd have to heavily manage competition. It would be tough but Tyrian thought his wolves were up to the challenge. He glanced around to take better stock of his surroundings. There were no borders here but he couldn't call it vacant just because a pack hadn't claimed it. The vikings had been mobile for a time and now his niece had her pirates so who knew how many bands no roamed Boreas. Rogues, too, were a possibility. "" |

The young huntress was on one of her usual hunting trips, a trip with the purpose of bringing meat back to her pack. She always took her job seriously, and even more with young mouths to feed, and those from the elderly as well. And being such a skilled hunter she wanted to use that for her pack´s benefit. And with the confidence well known on her, she marched toward, with her mind already working to initiate the process of hunting, a process that without good care it could be dangerous. The blonde and brown wolf scrutinized the place in order to find anything she could hunt, and there if when she saw a wolf in the distance. She wasnt one to openly talk to random wolves but she felt friendly today. "Hello sir." "Speak" |

Tyrian was so wrapped up in his thoughts that the deep-in-thought scowl he directed at the ground stayed on his features as he turned to see who was speaking. It was only once he laid eyes on the woman and realized his face was saying unpleasant things on his behalf that his manners kicked in. Tyrian wiped the expression off his face and gave the lady a small apologetic smile. "Ah, hello there. It seems you caught me lost in my thoughts." He glanced around, this time trying to decide if there was anything else he needed to apologize for. It was possible that his thoughts had concealed something else from him. He was quite certain he wasn't trespassing on pack land, but, as he'd been musing before the woman's arrival, that didn't mean rogues hadn't made a home here. "I hope I'm not intruding." "" |
