Ada raised a good question, they need a singular target for the group to concentrate on. Wolves spoke out, voicing different ideas in crafting fire and collecting the parts needed to do so. He nodded his head to Valor to collect sticks, to his amnesia wolf to create it, and Stjarna to create the pitch. The others offered support in those jobs, and he gave them his approval as well.

“Ada, pick us the target while the others assemble supplies.” He ordered the young girl. He would assess the manner in which she used to pick their prey. It would be a good mental exercise for her.

He gave time for everyone to gather the things they needed, before assembling them again before the mammoths. It was time thebhujt began in earnest.

Stjarna got to work assembling supplies. They pulled out a few sizeable sticks and began to the extra branches off of them. Once that was done Star turned their attention to the pitch. There was a small bowl full of prepared pitch but they needed to heat it up so they could get gobs to cool and dry on the sticks. The pitch on the torch sticks could then be lit on fire. As Star didn't want to set the whole bowl on fire they were careful to heat the pitch slowly so it was more malleable. Once the torches were done Star looked back to Sirius for the next set of instructions.

Sirius ordered Ada to pick a target and the rest of them to get to work. Gossamer immediately jumped to making a small fire with Ásta's help. She scrambled to gather sticks and soon the duo had a small little fire going. Stjarna joined them and helped to tend the fire. While the older wolf worked on torches Gossamer focused on keeping her fire going. She bounced back and forth with more sticks as she searched for some that were dry and not wet from the snow. She did her best though there were a few that hissed and popped as she added them to the fire. She glanced at her companion for a moment until she was sure it was ok to look for more sticks.
