She didn't really mind much, she liked battling her siblings as much as other wolves, but maybe she just liked hurting the ones she didn't care about just a little more. It was at least more fun to mess with the ones she didn't know. She was actually pretty fond of her family even if she had trouble showing it. Maybe they knew, or maybe they didn't understand. She really didn't care. She faced Pyrite as the fighting started around them. She had to admit it was quite distracting compared to a one on one back at home. "Ready or not." She lifted her head with a bit of pride, though she knew the two of them were pretty matched. She at least knew Pyrite's smaller size was not to be underestimated. Only because they lived together though. Otherwise she probably would have laughed at an opponent so small. She moved forward quickly, trying to take advantage of her bigger size. She knew Pyrite would be quicker and be able to evade her, but Onyx was still learning the ropes of battle and messing up wasn't something new to her. She immediately closed the small distance between them and aimed to grab Pyrite around the spine of her neck with her teeth. Pyrite had never seen so many wolves in one places before, it was almost distracting. The young girl followed her father to the tournament, though he wasn’t participating. She and her sister were going to though. Pyrite was squared off with Onyx, her much larger sister. The tiny girl wasn’t incredibly talented, but she was fast. They often practiced their sparring as much as crafting and even if she was tiny Pyrite had just as much fire as her siblings. ”I’m always ready,” the girl answered with a smirk as Onyx got right into the fray.

She was right, Onyx had superior size but Pyrite had excellent maneuverability. Her tiny paws were under complete control despite her young inexperienced age. Onyx lunged for her but Pyr dodged underneath her sister’s belly. She aimed to slip under and out but at the same time nip at her sibling’s ankles.

They may have had drastic size differences, but they were both still very tiny. Had then been full grown, Onyx probably wouldn't have been able to get a reach on her so easily. Though a tail was a hard thing to clasp onto, all the fur fluff. She wasn't quite strong enough to pull her sister out from under her anyway. But at least she had the idea to do so. She was pretty impressed with herself at the idea, she wanted to have better ideas like this for counter attacks more often. Pyrite almost rolled underneath her sister as she dodged the first attacks. The girl was so much smaller than her siblings, she never really got a great growth spurt as the rest of them. They were still young though, both girls had a lot of growing too do but already Onyx was much taller. Not tall enough that Pyrite could come out the other side unscathed. Pyr’s teeth managed to nibble at her sister’s fur but she didn’t get a great hold especially as Onyx grasped at her long tail. Her sister pulled at her but Pyrite aimed to dig her claws into the ground and pull herself forward between Onyx’s back legs. She’d aim to try and disrupt her sister’s stance to hopefully push her off balance to take the win.

Pyrite tried to get away from the grasp Onyx had on her, but Onyx must have been strong enough to keep the hold and pull her out. Maybe if they were full grown, it wouldn't be so easy to reach under her and grab her sister, and she was sure she would find out one day. "Maybe you should go under from a different angle." She suggested, a little high and mighty as she usually acted, "Or lose the tail." She gave her sister a warming smirk, warming from her. She knew they would have many other opportunities to fight each other again, and while she may not have liked the idea, she imagined that Pyrite would win some of their fights later on. "Maybe next time."

Onyx pulled her tail hard and the momentum was enough to bring Pyrite off her paws. She landed on her shin and her teeth snapped as her larger sister took victory. The young Destruction tried hard not to feel ashamed or show the flare of disappointment and anger. Her now bloodied chin was enough to distract from feelings besides pain. Pyrite refrained from mocking her sister as she tried to give a couple of pointers, as though she really knew more than her. Pyr couldn’t help the tiny sneer that lingered on her features as she looked away from her sister who suggested she remove her tail. Onyx did do much to redeem herself in Pyrite’s eye. She did give her hope for the next fight. After all, they were hardly near grown anyway. ”Definitely next time.” She swore softly as she turned around and made way to their father.
