Since Lukina had shown an interest in fighting Rœkia took the girl to the battlefield. It seemed wise to start working her fighting skills as the long winter was causing a shortage of prey and increasing the aggression of rival predators. Though, really, Rœkia wanted to see her cousin get knocked around a bit. Lukina was oblivious to her older cousins intentions and was just excited to start sparring. She was also terrible nervous and eager to impress. She trotted after Rœkia til they came to a smooth area with only a few inches of snow. Rœkia tipped back her head and howled and Lukina was soon to join in.

Kuroki liked fighting just as much as the next person but sometimes he found himself wondering what it was all for. Puppy scraps and squabbles were one thing but what in the world was valuable enough to warrant killing someone over? He'd asked Hattori about it once, knew his Father had killed but didn't really get why, why couldn't people just get along or talk it out or whatever? It made no sense to him, no matter how hard he tried. But alas his work was never done and Hattori soon brought the little prince to the battlefield, wanting him to test out his skills on strangers who's movements would be much harder to read. Kuroki was game, mostly.

It was a little hard to spot her since she was like the whitest wolf he'd ever seen, but the pink of her eyes and nose caught Kuroki's attention as he bounded over. Chest all puffed up and shoulders set and square as he dipped down into a mock bow. Better be nice and polite since his Dad was watching.

"You ready?" He asked, in his only attempt to make sure they were on the same page. After all, why else would she be here?

And then he was on the move, charging ahead with all the grace of a young pup struggling his way through snow. There was no point in stopping when he got close so instead he planned on using his momentum and giving her a good prod with his growing nubby horns.

Lukina's ears perked up at the sound of someone approaching. It was a man and a pup that she immediately guess was his son. Her jaw dropped open as the duo got closer and she saw the horns and saber fangs. Wow, they were like the coolest wolves she'd ever seen! The boy spoke and she quickly focused back in on what she came here to do. Lukina quickly set her defenses, her fur fluffing up and her ears pinning to her head. She also tucked her tail between her legs and rolled her shoulders forward. "Yea, I'm ready!"

A moment later the boy charged, his head lowered with the nubs of his horns aiming right for her. Lukina bounced to her right, the side of the boy's head brushing across the outside of her left shoulder. She rotated her head and tried to bite the front of his left thigh.

Oop! She dodged aside, leaving a gaping space where Kuroki figured she ought to be. It was a pretty smart move and she was quick of paws and mind, this ought to be real fun!!! He slammed on the breaks, kicking up snow as he tug in his talons to stop himself from teetering over and then with a snap of his limbs he was back on the move, snatching his left thigh out of reach. He let out an excitable bark, earning a very subtle eyeroll from his onlooking sire, as he tried again, head dipped and horns at the ready. At this rate it was quickly gonna turn into a game of chase; Kuroki looking to give her a poke and the girl deftly leaping out of the way.

Lukina's jaws snapped over air as the boy just pulled his leg out of reach. He spun around and so did she, eager to keep facing him. In her excitement her tail came untucked and started waving wildly. The boy lowered his horn nubs and bounded forward to poke her. Lukina quickly ducked and while she managed to avoid his horns she swiftly realized she needed to pay attention to all of her opponent and not just his weapons as the boy's chest collided with her. The force knocked her over onto her back. She kicked out with her hind legs, claws extended as she tried to kick him in the chest. The surprise of getting knocked over quickly prompted her tail to spring between her legs to help protect her tummy.

Kuroki loomed over her, his tongue lolling out of the side of his mouth, showing that even when on top he didn't really mean any harm. He probably ought to take this more seriously, act as though he wanted to bite and chomp but it was hard for him to hold back his laid back and playful nature. All was good in his eyes, even as the girl pushed her paws against his chest and lazily leaned down and attempted to grab a hold of her snout. She was strong though and her kicks thumped in his chest, echoing off his ribcage like the beating of a drum. Thud thud thud. Click click click, went his teeth as he snapped at the air, like an alligator.

Lukina's hind legs bunny kicked at the boy's chest and as his fangs came toward her, she unsheathed the claws of her front paws and tried to swat his muzzle away. Even though it wasn't ideal for her to be on her back with a larger boy standing over her she was still having fun with this fight. She hadn't really grown up with anyone to play with, having no siblings and being born in a time of inner turmoil. This was the closest thing she'd ever had to playing with a sibling and she lapped it up. Rœkia would probably give her a hard time but right now she didn't care!
