Location Dove Island Archipelago Duchess walked forward with the Princess carefully, almost like she was fragile. She was so young and still small, but there was no denying her beauty and what she could grow into. She very much fit the narrative of royalty, in her walk, in her reserved expressions. Duchess was quite impressed with her. Stepping out of the shrine's forest, she wouldn't walk out onto the sands of the beach to mar the tiny princess' flawless coat, instead taking a seat still in the grassy, forest area. She looked outward to the islands, the largest island caught her attention first even while it was the farthest away. She couldn't hear the birds that flew through the trees, but she could spot them as the delicate doves flew around from one tree to another. She was surprised to see a boar out on the sands of the island, though she supposed the forests of the island where a good host for the boars to live in. Her attention moved towards the Black Island, it didn't seem to have any kind of accessible bridge to go there and she could tell the the waters were dangerous around the shores. It wasn't storming there, but the skies above looked dark and wicked unlike the rest of the areas around them. She gently turned her head to the Princess asking, "It doesn't seem like that island over there is inhabitable?" Walk "Talk"

It had been asked of Ikigai to escort a curious guest to see the islands and, being the gracious hostess that she was, the girl couldn't deny the request. The white and black young wolf was growing into her long, spindly legs. The puppy fat was melting away and the delicate beauty that she would eventually become was beginning to show. Silvered eyes scanned their surroundings as the pair of ladies walked. Ikigai always held herself to a high standard. Every motion was thought out before it was executed. Her family name rested upon her obsidian speckled shoulders just as it rested upon the shoulders of her siblings.

As the greenery ended and the sand began, Duchess stopped. Ikigai was a little surprised at this and took the first steps out onto the sand herself. She washed her paws every night anyway, so a bit of sand wouldn't bother her. A gentle breeze lifted the girl's long tail and sent it snaking over the sand.

The voice of Duchess met Iki's dark ears and she tilted her crown ever so slightly to hold the black and purple woman within her gaze. Her tones were strong but mellifluous. She practiced her speech often and was rather eloquent. Especially for one her age. "The island is difficult to get to and quite dangerous. Not many go there."

"Speech"

Duchess nodded her head as the girl spoke, looking back out at the islands. The Black Island she would note not to travel to. Indigo or not. She could see the black sands of the obsidian beach from here, so that would be her key factor to remembering. Her eyes looked over at Inu Island, a thick jungle that was also different from any of the other islands. She spotted the peak of a mountain center of the island, looming over the tree tops but it didn't have any kind of strange appearance from this far. Not like the Black Island. She could see three of the four land bridges from here, and it had her wondering, "I see the bridge there connects to the Armada, do they come over here often?" She hoped she wasn't bothering the Princess, but she wanted to keep conversation. Other than sitting here awkwardly staring out at that islands. And at least the question she asked would speak for the numbers of Ashen. If they were allied so well with The Armada, then they sure would be a force to be reckoned with. Not that this was on Duchess' mind at all. She was just so used to her life living alone and now were quiet life inside The Hallows that a neighboring allied pack was a new experience for her. Walk "Talk"

Duchess questioned Ikigai about the bridge that connected the two packs and the girl gave a graceful dip of her skull. "Ashen and the Armada have free reign of each territory. Sirius, the leader of the Armada, was the Empresses teacher. There is a pact between the two packs. An alliance." Ikigai hadn't been onto Armada lands yet. Really, she had no desire. There was little there for a wolf such as herself. She was no warrior, nor was she a hunter. The warlike pack wasn't exactly known for its intellectuals. Ikigai would rather stick close to home and learn from the bright minds around her.

"That island there belongs to Prince Chimera and Princess Siren." Ikigai motioned to another island settled back a ways. There was a rope and barrel bridge connecting one island to the next. The sea sent the bridge gentle swaying back and forth. "That island is off limits. None are allowed to set paw there. He's a very private man." Ikigai didn't really like her uncle Chimera. He always gave her an odd feeling as though at any moment he could devour her. She never let it show, but she always felt it.

"Speech"

Duchess again just nodded as she explained. Though she did think that the sound of a private island was pretty odd. They had a whole other pack just wandering through their lands, but they weren't allowed on this one island? It wasn't any of her business, and she probably would never have to worry about it or think about it again. She finally looked out at the closest island, a more typical, tropical island with palm trees. She could spot from this distance some dens, she wasn't sure if they were dens that wolves lived in or dens for storage. But she wasn't too nosy. She figured she had seen enough of the islands, and asked enough questions at least. With another look towards the princess, she offered, "I think I've looked enough, we can go back to the festival." A small smile pulled at her maw but she wouldn't stand until the girl was ready. She was eager to get back to Indigo and the others, maybe she could convince Segin to get an escort out to the islands as well. Walk "Talk"

Once the woman had seen enough, she said so aloud. Ikigai gave a gentle nod and began moving back towards the greenery at the edge of the sand. Soon her paws touched cooler earth than the sun warmed sand and Iki was glad for it. Yes, she liked the warmth of the beach, but she preferred cooler temperatures. Her long fur became overwhelmingly hot at times, she'd noted. During those times, the young princess enjoyed going for a swim. If time didn't allow for a swim, sometimes Iki merely dipped her paws into the pool of the shrine.

"I do hope that your tour was satisfactory," the young lady spoke clearly to her guest. This was her first diplomatic mission, in a sense. Of course she hoped that she'd done well in her task. Silver eyes drifted to Duchess, the crimson corner of one lifting slightly in question.
