If Mojito was being totally honest he wasn't really expecting to even make it to the second round, his opponent had been bigger than himself and though he obviously hadn't been used to fighting someone with horns Mojito had been overpowered easily enough at one point that he hadn't really expected to make a come back... and yet here he was! It felt good still, at least proving himself to be more than just a pushover, not the young boy who'd left Ashen feeling chased out anymore. He was more than that now. His mind briefly turned towards Asla, heavily pregnant now and he pushed down the worry he had that she could easily go into labour while he was away...

But there was no further time for those thoughts, the next matches had been called and Mojito would seek out his opponent, looking to meet her gaze before moving off to a place where they would have enough space to tussle. He was once again up against someone bigger than himself, nothing new there but this woman was older than he was, no doubt more experienced than himself as well. He hoped at least it would be an interesting fight. Mojito offered the woman a polite nod in greeting before settling himself into a ready position, watching and ready.

Rœkia managed to snatch a victory and make it into the second round. That was just as well, since she learned her little cousin had made it into the second round. She wouldn't be able to live it down if she'd lost her first match. Rœkia arrived at the location for her second match to find herself against a small young man with horns. Well, this was going to be an interesting match. She eyed the horns warily, knowing that one good jab, accidental or intentional could cause serious damage. Rœkia stretched her shoulder a moment then quickly set her defenses, making sure to pin her ears and tuck her tail. Her shoulders rolled forward, her neck scrunching back as she coiled her legs in preparations for the beginning of the match.

Mojito considered his own approach for a moment, openly sizing up his opponent one last time. Then without any further ado he would launch his first attack, his head tucking neatly so his horns were clearly leading and he rushed forwards, hoping to close the distance between himself and the woman. Mojito was hoping to come in close to the woman's chest and then attempt to slam on the breaks before they collided and pulling his head back up quickly to try and scraped them along her chest and throat, a sort of feint wherein he hoped she would brace for his headbutt and not expect him to not simply ram her like a goat with his horns.

Rœkia's limbs coiled as she prepared to defend herself. She watched as the smaller man charged and lowered his head. She immediately attempted to slip to her right to both avoid his horns, which would be devastating if she were struck, and to adjust her position while his head was lowered and his eyes not fully on her. She attempted to arc in toward his left side, seeking to bite onto his spine, just between his hips. As she arced in she also attempted to swing her backend behind her to make it harder for her opponent to reach. As she moved she attempted to keep her defenses as in tact as possible.

Mojito ground his teeth as he tried, to adjust his charge as the woman danced out of his way, paws scrambling as he skid to a stop, doing his best to pivot quickly on his toes and re-adjust his position so he was at least facing the woman. He was just starting to twist back towards her when teeth dug into his mid spine, a little lower than mid. The young man let lose a noise of pain, and twisted his torso to try and close the gap between them, but found she had managed to position herself well. Grimacing the young man would instead attempt to swing his hips into the woman, hoping to hip check her in the shoulder, at best he hoped it would knock her off balance but at least maybe it would dislodge her grip on his spine.

Rœkia grinned as she bit down and heard the yelp of pain that signified a successful attack. She could feel the smaller man twist in her jaws but from her position she couldn't really tell what he was doing. Suddenly he twisted sharply and his hind end swung into her shoulder. Due to her larger size the blow didn't knock her off balance but the sudden force caused the muscles in her lower jaw to quiver at the strain. She could feel herself losing her grip. Rœkia opted to abandon her grip as she attempted to quickly throw her upper arms over his back, hoping to use her greater weight to push the man onto the ground and pin him.
