Hearthside Apothocary [Healing Lesson]
Amorielle and Laoise! Deadline is the 29th of June)

Seeing his long-lost sibling had eased an old ache somewhat, and Paladin was glad that at least one of his brothers still lived. In his heart, he felt that Exodus and Fable were okay, and he hoped that they had found happiness in their lives, and that he might see more nieces and nephews someday before he passed on.
He padded into his alcove and plucked a pair of bundles from their slots and making his way to find Amory and Lee. They had decent early basics down, but if they wished to rise to the Masters of the Healer’s Circle, he would be working hard to ensure they learned well.
Viviane crossed his mind, and he made a note to check in on her later; but for now, he settled the two bundles, one at a time, near the fire as he came into the fire cave. It doubled as a crafting room, especially with how cold the world had been of late.
Moving back to the cave opening, he called, loudly enough to be heard through the cave tunnel and their alcoves and spurs, “Amory, Lee! Care to join me for a lesson?”

Amory had been more or less tending to her own devices, mostly a lot of exploring beyond pack lands in search of herbs and knick-knacks to add to her collection. She had a lot of the basics for healing down, but she knew there was still a lot to learn yet. So when she heard Paladin call for her and her sister as she entered the den, her ears perked up and her tail wagged a bit. She was of course, eager to learn all that she could. So she quickly headed to her den first to drop off what she had before heading back to meet the others. With a warm smile and a soft nudge, she greeted her sister before sitting down and dipping her head respectfully towards Paladin. "Hello! What are we learning today?"

Paladin’s dark lips twitched as his ears caught the faint gasp from down the hall somewhere, recognizing Lee’s voice, soon enough the russet, gold and coal streaked girl slipped into the crafting room, and in a few minutes, Amorielle arrived. Paladin smiled lightly at the girls, nodding as he spoke, glancing aside to a lump tucked against the wall of the cave, shadowy in the firelight.
“Today, we’ll practice wound identification and care. Cairo and Ardyn were kind enough to hunt me down a boar for you to practice with. They also roughed it up a bit so we’d have wounds to examine. Now, some of these methods of wound repair may be difficult to do by paw, but should you end up befriending a primate like a lemur or monkey, the methods should be much easier to accomplish.”
His nodded to the bundles he’d set out, adding, “Why don’t you open your kits there? They have the tools and materials you’ll need.”
Leaving to examine the contents of their bundles – thin bone needles, long enough to be used with the teeth and still be able to see from the corner of one’s eye while making a suture, long threads of sinew stripped to be thin enough for the uses healers needed them for, bottles of salve made with herbs that had some numbing qualities, and strips of soft rabbit skins and pelts for wrapping or use as poultice pads, among other things – Paladin went to the boar and dragged it across the floor by one leg with a quiet old man’s grunt until it was in full light, especially once Kayode and Ime set up several oil lantern pots.
He waited for them to finish their investigations patiently, wanting them to take their time and learn rather than rushing them through things.

Ears perked up as she listened to Paladin speak. Wound identification and care? That definitely sounded like fun! At least to her. For now. But that was probably because she wasn't having to do this in a real situation just yet, but on a boar that Cairo and their brother had been kind enough to harvest for them to practice on. "Oh, that certainly sounds delightful!" She stated with excitement, though quickly fell quiet. Was she weird for saying that? Maybe she was just excited to learn! She waited for her sister to examine the wounds the boar had, and when she was done, Amory stepped up to examine them herself. She looked the beast over with a critically observant eye, nothing minor wounds such as bruises, scrapes, and scratches, as well as the more major wounds like lacerations, deep cuts down to the bone, puncture wounds, and...what appeared to be flesh missing like it had been skinned a little (similar to how skin rubbed off if one were to slide on concrete).
