Just A traveler [Legacy]
Jynn strolled out of the gorge and into the light once more. Above her the sky was a beautiful blue with swirls of white clouds dancing through it. Across the horizon was a darker band of clouds but she was headed away from there. Grinning she carried on over dull brown hills to a flat, dry lake bed. The sandy colored earth was cracked and dry yet streaks were cut through it seemingly from some large rocks. It looked almost as if they'd been blow across the lake or were moving slowly of their own volition and leaving trails as they went. She glanced back towards Legacy. "Well, this is sure a curious place, isn't it?" She reached out with a paw and tapped lightly at one of the rocks.

In time, they found themselves leaving the gorge behind, out onto the lakebed. The first notable feature was the great rocks, and the groves stretching behind them in the soil. She glanced to the sky, squinting at the distant storm that still loomed, then looked back to the rocks, smiling with a nod at the maned wolf.
“Do you think it takes a mixture of high winds and heavy rain for them to move like that? This soil does look like it would make a slick mud when soaked.” She scraped a paw over the dirt, flexing her toes to squeeze a clod between toe and heel pads. It was dry now, but soon enough, it would be subjected to soaking rain.
She padded forward, scanning the lakebed with interest, marking notable landmarks in her head as she went.

Legacy is nearly always clad in her Deer Hide Armor when on outings, mainly because you never know when you'll find an herb to take home. Unless stated otherwise, it's relatively safe to assume she's wearing it.
Jynn squinted at the sun. Despite it almost being winter the sun beating down on her back was warm and she knew it would only get warmer. She was built for the heat, however. Her large ears and slim, long legs helped to keep her cool in hot and humid weather.
Legacy offered a theory on the rocks and Jynn nodded. "Sounds like a good theory to me." She trotted on, just taking off into the air with each paw step until they came to more rocks that looked like they were taking a long, and very slow, journey across the lakebed. Jynn pounced on the biggest one, balancing herself carefully. "So, Legacy, do you have a favorite kind of territory that you like to explore?" Jynn found it a hard question to answer but she supposed she was partial to rainforests.
Stjarna was doing some scouting out in the west, following some herd movements into the region and also noting movements that came out of the region. The west was surprisingly dry so far and while a few lands were lush most were in hospitable. Star's view did not change when they arrived at the flat expanse of the traveler's lake. It was desolate and they weren't sure if that was just because of the coming of winter or if it was always like this. On the way they spied two women and Star shifted course to meet them. "Excuse me, I'm looking for the Emerald Valley, can either of you give me directions?
Jynn stepped lightly onto one of the larger rocks that existed on the lake's surface. She balanced carefully, eventually pulling all four feet up onto the rock, her tail waving lightly to help her balance. She gazed out at the expanse of the lake, noting the cracks that laced its surface. She was about to comment on the lake's structure when a handsome man approached. She couldn't help but note that his scent seemed a bit off though, an odd mix of masculine and feminine scents. "Sure, you must've missed it. It's directly east of here. If you head east and keep walking you're sure to find it."
