Magnus couldn't wander around the Armada looking for answers or clues anymore. It was proving to not be very useful and so he decided to look outside of the Armada. Instead of going to the place Sirius had said he'd found him, Magnus decided to look elsewhere a little bit farther away. Choosing to go around the Ashen territory, he took the long way despite the extra strain it took to hobble there on three legs. His companions were close should he need them, however he seldom used them for balance or support. If anything, they were to hunt and warn him. Today, they were mostly along for protection.
Something seemed strangely familiar about the swamplands as he trudged through the cold marsh. He couldn't place when, where, or even why but pressed on anyway. Unfortunately, the colder air caused the muck to become a bit stickier and it was a struggle for the aging man to continue. Sighing as his companions offered support through the swamp, he collapsed as he was finally free from its grip and landed on the solid ground with an audible thud. Wincing, Magnus pulled himself together and scooted away from the mucky water and to the base of a tree to rest.

The ghost of a woman might not have recognized the look of him. He was completely changed, his fur bore different markings and he was now walking along on three of his four legs. Something had happened to the man she had once let into her heart. It wasn’t entirely surprising, he had gone all out and nearly killed himself when they fought that bear. Deathbelle wouldn’t have been surprised if the same could be said again.
She knew him by the cologne of his fur and the scent of the Armada on him, and she would never forget those piercing purple eyes. She wouldn’t have seen him had her own companion, the little mouse lemur, alerted her to his presence. Deathbelle had once hated him, but she no longer felt any emotion besides pain these days. She didn’t want to stop nor avert her trail to intercept him. Pale brows furrowed as Deathbelle found herself struck immobile with indecision.
Belle didn’t want to ever see or talk to him again. Not after everything he put her through, though nothing compared to Sirius she still felt the sting of his abandonment.
