The young Adravendi girl had been lingering in the gardens during the evening. Roman was seeing to some of his responsibilities and as she was on her way home Lillith though this might be a good night for her and her father to spend some time together. The moon was rising as she returned to Hallowed lands, her garnet gaze in search of Ulric. As her pretty little paws waded through green grass Her gaze caught sight of that strange blue fog that she had seen the last night with Romulus.

Eyes widened with fright as she picked up her pace, and nervously called out for her father as the bright blue fireflies began to appear. The sense of animosity fell over the lands with the moonlight above. The girl lowered her head and walked faster, intimidated by the strange occurrence.

Ulric hadn't ventured far from Hallows lands since the night that he and Eska had the run in with the strange fox with glowing eyes. He wasn't a man that could be easily shaken or frightened, but things that were seemingly mysterious and paranormal unsettled him. Every night the blue fireflies returned around the castle grounds and he kept thinking that perhaps he could see those blue, glowing eyes following him around as he went through his usual patrols. Tonight he had called off his patrol early, heading back toward the castle as a strange blue fog started to settle over everything. It made a chill settle over him and the last thing he wanted to do was be out here in this right now.

As he neared the castle his head shot up at the sound of Lillth's howl, and he started loping forward to catch up to her, finding her also retreating toward the castle. He hurried to her side, watching as the fireflies from the previous nights seemed to materialize around them from the blue fog that had settled across the ground. "It's alright, Lil, I'm here," he said with a little smile, falling into step beside her. He looked at one of the fireflies that flew close, but it didn't even really look like a bug at all. The light was so bright that it kept him from actually seeing the insect it came from and made him squint slightly against the light. But when the light flickered out it was like it was never there to begin with.

Lillith hurried towards the castle, cursing herself for staying out so late. She had almost enjoyed the strange occurrences looking down on them in the safety of the castle, but this was something else entirely. The girl hurried forward, running, to get back to the castle before the mists were able to touch her toes. She started to lose her breath from fright and exhaustion when Ulric appeared at her side. Soothing her with his words and his presence. The girl still felt spooked, but Ulric was always able to make her feel safe.

”Daddy,” Relief filled her but she didn’t slow down, the quicker they returned to the safety of the castle the better she would feel. ”What’s going on?” The girl asked between breaths as they neared the castle wall and their final destination. Her heart feeling like it was about to beat out of her chest.

Ulric gave a little shake of his head as they ran toward the castle when she asked what was going on. "I don't know, darling. Lets just get inside." He knew from the other times he's had to interact with these strange phenomena that it was unlikely it would actually hurt them, but that wasn't going to calm Lillith's panic right now so he was more concerned about getting her back to somewhere she felt safe. Soon enough they passed through the courtyard of the castle and they bounded up the short flight of stairs that would lead them to the main doors. He paused as he went to open the door, glancing back over his shoulder.

The blue fog seemed to stop at the bottom stair as it caught up with them so at the very least this bit of a platform they were on kept them out of the thick fog that looked less like the misty fog he was used too and more like a solid wave of something. The fireflies blinked and flickered all around, but what finally got him moving through the door was when he looked out toward some trees at the edge of the courtyard and he saw something that looked like piercing blue eyes watching them. His ears flicked back and he pulled the door open, letting Lil inside first before he followed after her, shutting the paranormal out.

Ulric held no comfort of knowing as she asked after these strange happenings and her father knew nothing more than she did. Lilith gulped in air, trying to calm herself and breathe as fear gripped her. Lil would tout herself a brave she wolf, but the fog, the dancing lights, the glowing eyes… The girl was afraid of that which she did not know. And she knew nothing about these oddities. And neither did her father, the wisest wolf she knew.

He led her through the courtyard, up the stairs and ushered her through the door of the castle, as eager to get her to safety as she was to get to safety. As soon as her father pulled the door shut Lillith slumped on the floor in front of him. Her limbs were weak and she was gasping for breath. As much from the run as her fright.

Ulric sighed as he closed the door and the blue fog and the strange lights that came with it were out of sight. It was very possible that all of this was completely harmless and was just seemed scarier than it actually was, but when Lillith was involved he wasn't going to take any chances. He settled onto his haunches beside her, giving her a gentle smile as he wrapped a foreleg around her shoulders and let her lean into him if she wanted to. "It's alright, take your time and catch your breath." He had no idea what was causing all these strange occurrences, but he was going to be thrilled when they were gone. It wasn't like when the saber cats or giant wolves were causing problems. Those were physical things he could fight. This... This was a problem he didn't know how to address. Once Lillith had a chance to catch her breath and she had some time to let her heart slow he nodded back toward the main hall. "I think the fire should still be burning in the feast hall. Lets go lay rest for a bit. I think we still have some berries in in the food storage if you'd like some." He tapped his nose against her cheek and stood, leaving the spooky things of the night behind them.
