Manea glanced up toward the sky as Temno and Ciemny flew overhead, the ravens circling and scanning the area as she passed through it. She didn't wander far today, only down to the beach where she and Alastor had first stayed when they moved away from the northern parts of Boreas. She smirked as she passed the entrance to the cave where they had stayed and where her children had been conceived. Chuckling softly and grinning at the thought, she continued on down the dark sands of the beach with that pleasant memory lingering on her mind. Today was less about scouting the surrounding territories like she had been doing over the last week or so and more just a chance to stretch her legs. If she happened to find something to sink her teeth into while she was out then that would be a bonus.
She had been putting in the work to try and regain her figure and stamina as quickly as possible, but her muscles weren't too pleased with this plan. Especially around her stomach and hips where her body had gone through the most change and trauma through her pregnancy her muscles were incredibly sore, but she refused to allow that to slow her down. There was too much work to do to rest now. She paused as she spotted a few shells on the beach, flipping them over and examining the pearlescent side of them as she considered taking them back for Ava and Sara to examine. They would see the world soon enough, but for now she liked to bring back little things for them to enjoy. Glancing up, she let out a little whistle and Temno dutifully swooped down to land on her shoulder. "Be a dear and carry this back to the den, would you?" she asked of the raven, lifting a pair of the shells up to the bird's beak. "Yes madam," her companion replied immediately, taking the little treasures before taking off once more.

With preparations for departure well on the way, a child born and two more coming, the constant nattering of the women around him and the general pressure that came with being the Kage of Ashen, Chimera needed and deserved a little break. Some space and time to breathe. After telling Siren so that she wouldn't worry and instructing her to inform the others, the dire brute left the island, taking the bridge with him. None of them would be leaving while he was away and no one would be visiting either.
Wide paws took the giant to the dark sands of the beach that he liked so well. He had almost claimed this place, but it wasn't as impenetrable as the island that he had in mind. What Chimera craved most was the security that being surrounded by a body of water brought. Security and peace of mind. Any invaders would be hard pressed to reach said island. Especially once Gem, Meg and Moccasin raised their offspring and began their training and patrols.
Chimera allowed his speckled pads to soak up the warmth of the obsidian sand beneath them before he continued. The oncoming winter was slowly making the sea shift from blue to grey. The giant's eyes were narrowed against the onslaught of the sun, so he didn't see the purple woman until he was within range of her seeing him as well. He watched at he bird flew off with items clutched in its talons. Internally he sighed. His time of solitude would have to wait, apparently. Having come around the edge of some of the rock wall, they were too close for him to just turn and leave. There were things to think about now. He would have to be diplomatic. Always thinking of the affect that his actions would have on the pack that he would soon create.
The two-toned giant with his flecking of slate stood tall, his mismatched eyes firmly meeting those of the horned, purple woman before him. "Lady," he greeted civilly, but coolly at the same time. He didn't expect more than pleasantries.

Manea watched Temno fly off toward the prairie with the small gift in tow and she was just about to continue her leisurely stroll when her aqua gaze landed on a large brute that was for the most part split in two when it came to his coloring. Their gazes met and she saw his eyes followed the same theme as the rest of his coloring with one eye holding a silver that matched the darker colors well and a pink that revealed the albino nature of that half of his appearance. She gave him a curious glance, smirking slightly when he greeted her with a formality and coolness that she found amusing. "Sir," she said in response with a soft chuckle. She noticed the slight hint of the Ashen pack lingering on his scent, the group's distinctive scent familiar to her now after her loitering around their borders. He was a handsome beast, though not quite as striking as Alastor - though perhaps love made her a bit biased in that regard.
She considered just going on her way and letting it be a passing greeting, but she had quickly learned that more often than not the wolves she happened to run across in Boreas were often worth the time to get to know. Chance encounters were how she found Alastor, Irilyth, and Ikigai so who was to say that this wouldn't be a profitable meeting as well? "I'm Manea," she said to introduce herself as she turned to face him, her tail swishing casually with the graceful movement. She nodded down the length of the beach and added, "It seems as though we're going the same direction. Mind walking with me for a bit?" She smirked and continued on her way without waiting for an answer, waiting till they had fallen into step beside one another before she spoke again. "You strike me as a no nonsense kind of man," she mentioned, giving him a sideways glance. She was typically a pretty quick judge of character and his gruff, short introduction was fairly easy to read. "Could I ask your opinion on some things? I'm still getting a feel of Boreas so I'm curious to see what someone more familiar with it has to say."

Much like he wasn't her type, she wasn't his either. Chimera preferred his women small so he could toss them around if he felt like it. There was no sexual attraction here, but there didn't need to be. The man was up to his neck in...yeah. With Siren, Viper and Aliana ready to be topped by him, he was satisfied. Part of him still wanted Dalila to bend to his will as well just for the challenge, but he was still satisfied if she didn't. There was no room in his life for another woman, so when he saw fae's out in the wilderness, that wasn't where his mind drifted at all.
The purple fae gave her name and he would return the gesture. "Chimera Klein, King of Fenmyre." It was the first time that he'd thrown his title about since claiming his throne. He didn't do so in a pompous way, but inside he did feel a little giddy. She asked him to walk with her since they were going the same way and internally, the brute sighed. Externally, he simply nodded and began walking. She would keep up or she would be left behind. That was that. Though with their similar size, he doubted she would have trouble.
As was the way with women, she filled the silence with talk. She asked if she could question him and the two-toned brute merely grunted in response, one ear flicking in her direction to show that he was listening. The woman was curious about Boreas. He was now a resident of Auster, but having lived in Boreas all of his life, he would have more knowledge of it than a newcomer. Though he hadn't said so, he was a little curious as to what she would ask.

Manea gave an intrigued glance as he gave his name along with a title. The King of Fenmyre. While his scent had been similar to those that she had smelled around Ashen during her visits around their borders it was clear he had branched off on his own at some point or another. That made him all the more perfect of a candidate for her questions as they fell into step beside one another and continued down the dark sanded beach. There was plenty about Boreas she could have asked and perhaps she might circle back to the land itself eventually, but she could scout and see that sort of thing for herself. It was the wolves that occupied it that she was curious about. She felt fairly confident in her assessment of Venom and her family, but it never hurt to find a second opinion - especially from someone that she assumed knew her and didn't have a direct pack loyalty to sway his answer.
"I've been scoping out and getting to know Ashen and its Empress," she mentioned, glancing at him from the corner of her eye. "Am I right in my guess that you're familiar with them?" She didn't expect much more than a grunt from the fairly silent man, but either way she waited for some kind of response before she continued. "I've made plans to scout out a pack to the north. Venom suggested I take the pack as my own and said there could be an alliance if I'm successful." There was little to no doubt in that statement. It wasn't as much of a question of if she would lay claim to power of her own, more just a matter of timing. She gave him another curious glance as she asked, "From what you know of the other packs, would you agree they are a good target? Is Venom's word worth the effort?"

Together they walked and the woman was right. As she asked if he was familiar with Ashen, Chimera merely rumbled in response. It was clear that she was digging for information, but what information she wanted, he didn't quite know. If she'd met Venom, then she knew a little of Ashen. Chimera continued to listen as Manea spoke of Venom having suggested a pack in the north worth taking. A huff of irritation slid through the brutes speckled nose and his lip pulled back in a sneer, flashing rows of noxious bridgework. It clearly showed his feelings about the pack in the north. If you could even call it a pack. Garbage was what it really was.
Manea continued to speak, asking after Chimera's own opinion on the northern pack. After, she asked if Venom's words were worth the effort. Chimera released a low growl, slightly insulted at the insinuation that Venom might have spoken false. "My sister's words are always worth the effort or she wouldn't have spoken them." He continued to walk, though the irritation at the subject had lengthened his strides. "The northern pack will be no challenge. They are cowards. I pissed on their borders and fucked a woman in the alpha's den. They hid the entire time." Another huff left the man. He had been furious to have been denied blood during the raid. "Like stealing meat from a child."

He was a man of few words, but his sneers and grunts were plenty of reaction for her to read. Before he even responded she knew his opinion of the northern pack. She wasn't necessarily surprised to hear that he was a sibling of the Ashen Empress - they shared the same coloring and a similar scent - but it was good information to have as she began to scope out the rest of Boreas and the packs that the might be able to call her allies one day. Little Ikigai had begun her connection to Ashen first so that was where she had decided to begin her loyalties, but she was not someone who would be blindly loyal. His strong reaction and support of his sister's word did bode well though and she appreciated the perspective he gave. She smirked as he continued on about the northern pack in question, telling her how it would be no challenge to take and the things he had done to disrespect the pack - including pissing on their border and fucking his woman in the alpha's den.
She laughed at that, giving him a sly grin. She liked his style. That sounded exactly like something she would do with Alastor if given the chance and perhaps they would if this sorry excuse for a pack was actually as lousy as he described. "Well, as much as I'd rather have a real challenge, I suppose I could put this poor pack out of its misery." She'd be doing them a mercy, really. Freeing them from a leader who clearly wasn't fit to rule and breathing new life into the dying, abandoned pack. She gave Chimera a curious glance as they continued to walk, saying, "As someone who takes joy in pissing on someone else's border and fucking women in someone else's home, I imagine Fenmyre is quite the place to be." She smirked, already imagining all of the debauchery he must condone. "I'd love to hear more about this pack of yours."

Surprisingly, the woman shifted into being an easy companion. She laughed as he told her what had been done in the northern lands rather than shirk away or give him a disapproving glance like most women would. That earned her points in Chimera's eyes. She wasn't stuffy and she didn't seem to be putting up an act.
The conversation shifted to Fenmyre and now it was Chimera's turn to release a small chuckle as she returned his northern antics to him. "Fenmyre is a place of pleasure," he began. "A place where wolves can come to play out their dark desires without repercussion." He wouldn't tell her too much, but if she was interested in experiencing such things, she was welcome to come give his island a try. "You and your man are welcome to taste the islands pleasures, should you wish it." The smell of a brute was thick on her amaranthine pelt. He knew there was a man. Maybe more than one. Who knew?
"If you take this northern pack, you should seek me out in Fenmyre. We'll have much to discuss." Already he liked her, so why not hint at a future alliance? There weren't many wolves who were worth his time, let alone the effort that it took to create an alliance. He rarely got along with anyone, so it might be worth it to build this bridge in the long run.
