Duchess had spent more time away from the band then she had been even before she lost the pups. She felt like she didn't belong there, she felt like everyone there hated and resented her. That was't necessarily true, and she wasn't even really ready to face Indigo yet. She wasn't ready for anything. She just wanted her time and space though it felt like it would last forever.

Under the fading sun, the moon lit up the grasses making the flowers of the plains glow as her paws gently brushed past them. She made it to the frozen lake that had an eerie yet breathtaking sheen of the purple and blue moon, remnant of her own colors under the darkening sky. Some of the usual fireflies that resided here were already out and about, but as the night drew closer, the stranger blue firefly type specks came out to dance with their counterpart. Laying down on the bank of the frozen lake, she only watched silently as she fought back tears that wouldn't come because she had run dry of her tragic loss. Not only of the pups, but of everyone else as well.

Over the course of his life Noir had become more of a loner, never remaining anywhere for very long. For quite a few different reasons, many of them women. Still, the big brute desired attention, adoration if he could get it, or sometimes he’d just take what he wanted. He hadn’t had anyone to fawn over him in far too long. What was even better though, was anger.

His blue marked paws carried him eastward, partially in hopes of running into a sister at best, but he’d take a niece or nephew to torment. He tried to remember the last time he saw Theory and all he could think about was her sneaking off with another woman.

There was no trace of her up here, what he did find was glowing lights. The same color as the blue stripes down his pelt. He hadn’t ever seen anything quite like it, and he felt like he’d seen everything the world had to offer. Apparently wonders would not cease to amaze. Noir followed the fluttering lights, and he was so glad he did when his eyes fell on the lonely she wolf, bathed in unnaturally bright moonlight.

She hadn't noticed the presence of another for probably well too long. She was too lost in her thoughts. But now that she had noticed him, a titan nearly as large as Indigo, she had little room to be frightened. Or maybe it was simply because she didn't care. Draco was dead, but even if this brute had ill intentions with her, she could feel nothing.

Her head turned slightly to look at him, she didn't get up to leave though. Maybe she even looked inviting, suddenly she couldn't help the gentle smile on her maw. It had felt like an eternity to have even the glimpse of a smile. As he drew closer she looked over his blue pattern, noticing the resemblance of the new fireflies. They seemed to have in common the similar palettes of the haunting changes around them. "Can't you feel it too?" She nearly whispered in his direction, "It seems we were meant to meet each other here." Her gaze looked up to the discolored fireflies, "Did you come from the fireflies or did they come from you?" She wasn't really serious, but she could feel the desperation of all the loneliness she felt. Even just having the stranger here with her was enough.

He wasn’t often unsettled, or it wasn’t easy to throw the massive man off his game, but this night was different. There was a lingering tension in the air, a feeling of uncertainty he just couldn’t shake. A sense of anticipation that was both uncomfortable and uneasy. For that reason he didn’t immediately approach the sliph of a woman. She was very near the subtle purple hue of the lights that danced around them, fitting in just as easily as his own coloration did. She was either an apparition, or similarly blessed as he was.

She smiled up at him gentle, her eyes sparkling as she seemed to silently invite him closer. There was no fear in his demeanor, no nervous energy to match the unnatural atmosphere. When she spoke Noir was much more certain of her physicality, she knew no more about the glowing lights and the full moon than he did. She was just as mortal as he was, but she seemed to doubt that fact with mystified vocals.

”What do you think?” He asked softly, his voice deep but smooth despite his intimidating appearance. Noir’s dark paws brought him closer to her while his dual toned eyes lifted to watch the fireflies dance past them.

Her eyes wandered the fireflies around the brute when he asked, but she was much more interested in keeping her eyes on him rather than following the unknown matching specks. They seemed to dance around him, or them, or maybe it was just her imagination. But she couldn't help but feel like they were meant to be here together. "They seem to like you." She spoke with still that small smile. It wasn't an answer to his question, but an answer more to her own. He was just the same as her, or well, mortal despite their more unique coats.

For the first time she had laid eyes on him, she found her gaze falling to her paws that gently rushed across the colored ice under them. "They have taken something from me." She mentioned maybe almost spookily, though didn't go into details and may have appeared to not want to as her smile faded. But it lifted again slightly as she looked back up at him, "Were you going to take something from me too?" She was testing him, though maybe it wasn't necessarily the time to discover what she needed, or what she wanted after everything she had lost. The air was dense, the moon and the fireflies that may not have even been fireflies collaborated to make the haunting scene. But she worried little about the dangers of the changes, and the danger of the brute that joined her.

A nearby hedgehog is spooked and curls into a tight ball. The tips of it’s spines seem as if they’ve been dipped in a faintly glowing substance. You also find 4 crystals. Maybe these are worth keeping…

The massive brute’s attention shifted evenly between the fairy fae and the dancing fireflies around them. She was far more alluring than the show around him, but the oddity of events kept his primal instincts at bay. Her bright eyes lingered on him and it was easy to feel her interest. Like the night meant for the two of them to be here together. Noir smirked lightly, but mostly he was trying to keep his amusement to himself as she offered her subtle interest.

She averted her gaze, and his blue and lavender eyes followed hers as the flock of lights danced between them and she spoke softly. Something had been stolen from her. Oir tilted his features curiously, keeping himself quiet as she looked back up and questioned him as well. Still hinting that he was connected to the lightning bugs around them.

”I prefer receiving gifts than stealing.” He offered with a raised brow at the full moon glittered down on his bright blue stripes. His thoughts drifting to times gone by, but the past didn’t matter while he was here on this strange spooky night with this girl.
