Let's Reconnect
Tika

Avantika had been quiet before Bowen was taken and she hadn't gotten to know her adopted sister very well. Now that she was back, Bowen wanted to rectify that situation. The copper and ivory fae invited the larger wolf out for a day of exploration and crafting. She'd heard that the clay in the cave beneath the falls was particularly hardy and was very good for pottery. Bowen wanted to make a few special dishes. One for Haiku, one for Artorias, one for Briar and one for her mom. She figured that Tika might want to come and make her own pottery. If anything, it would give them a chance to reconnect.
Bowen could hear the falls from far off and shot her sister a smile. So far, the walk there had been somewhat quiet since the ladies were on a mission. Tika had always been quiet. Had time changed that? Greenery surrounded them, but eventually parted, giving way to the large clearing that the falls rested in. The edges of the water rose up around the crystal clear liquid and the powerful falling water cascading downward case the area in an iridescent sheen. Bo turned to Tika and spoke loudly so that she could be heard over the thunderous sound. "I was told that there's a cave behind the falls! Let's try to find it!"

Bowen had recently gotten back from being taken, and Avantika wasn't sure how to deal with that. How do you make friends with your long-lost sister, who you had assumed to be dead? So much had happened since they had last seen each other. Avantika had grown so much, and surely so had she. They were young adults now, not the little kids they'd been before. With all of her patrolling and worrying, Avantika hadn't had much of any time to talk to her little sister since she had returned. She'd accepted the offer to go exploring and craft some pottery, and they were walking together, mostly quiet. The sound of the falls rose in volume as they got closer. Bowen told her about a cave behind the falls, and Avantika smiled. On a whim, she yelled, "Race you!" and ran ahead, looking to find the cave first. "Speech" |

The greenery of the place was astounding. There were plants everywhere that you looked. Bowen imagined that the water must be very pure and sweet to sustain so many plants. The falls themselves were incredibly tall and it was hard to see both the top and the bottom. The top because the sun was shining so brightly and the bottom because of the amount of mist.
Tika grinned at her and challenged Bowen to a race before darting off away from the wide eyed girl. "Hey, I wasn't ready!" Laughter in her sweet vocals, Bowen took off after Tika, staying right on her tail the whole way. She didn't mind if her sister won, as long as they were enjoying their day together.
Once they reached the base of the falls, Bowen split off from the larger fae. She picked her way over the rocks, nosing in here and there, looking for the entrance to the cave. So far, she wasn't having any luck and wondered if Tika was having a better time of it.

Bowen took off after Avantika, and she ran fast to stay ahead of her. She wasn't putting in a ton of effort; she was mostly just playing around and enjoying the rush of air past her fur. Bowen split off eventually, and she slowed down a bit, still grinning. She trotted over the rocks, sniffing at them occasionally and keeping her head low to look in every tiny crevice.
Bowen didn't call out that she had found the cave, so Avantika moved a little faster. Check, nope, check, nope... She couldn't find anything. Check... Yes! There was a hole that looked promising, just about the size that a wolf could fit through. Avantika crouched down and wiggle-crawled her way in. The stone opened up into a small-ish cave, but she could stand up in it all the way, at least. "Hey, Bowen!" she called back as loudly as she could. "I think I found something?"
