Now this wasn't at all normal. Life in the north always seemed to be fairly solitary and closed-off from the rest of the world, and it was rare he spoke to wolves from outside lands, but his little adventure to The Wall with Kuroki had told him that something weird was going on - and it didn't seem like it was stopping anytime soon. The nights were only growing longer, and everything seemed to be glowing, from the colorful fireflies to the weird mushrooms, and finally - weirder yet - were the crystals that were growing off everything. He'd never seen anything like it, and he was pretty sure he wasn't alone in those feelings either, based on how everyone else around him was acting. He wanted to know more though and that was how he ended up near the edge of the frozen ship, eyeing one of these crystals warily. He could've sworn it'd been half this size just a couple days ago... but maybe he was just imagining things. He squinted hard at it, occasionally sitting down and then standing up periodically to get a better viewing angle, but he couldn't get much more info out of it than what he could see from a safe distance.

Ever since his trip to the lake where he'd met the russet woman he'd been curious about the strange changes around him. Shorter days were not totally alien to him but the shards of stone that grew along the metal hull of the ship certainly were. He was curious, as always. So it was no surprise that he too would find his way towards the ship, a sharp stone he'd managed to scrounge up clamped tightly in his mouth. He came up behind his brother. "Discover anything?" He asked as he came up beside his brother, dropping his rock at his paws and peering at the outcropping his brother was intent on. "Precious stones"

The usually-solitary boy was always happy to be joined by his siblings, and these strange occurrences only made him want to cling to them even tighter. They were safe and familiar in a world that was proving to be so… alien these days. He felt a shiver crawl up his spine but he tried to hide his unease, shrugging slightly when Hauyne drew closer. He watched as he dropped his rock, though Bronze's attention fell back to the crystals after a moment as if drawn to them by some outside force. "These are bigger now than they were just a few days ago. Like - a lot bigger," he speculated quietly. He was tempted to try to tap on one to see if it fell free, but he looked to Hauyne as if for guidance. "What d'you think they are, Hau?"

Haüyne felt much the same way his brother did, with so much that seemed to be putting off their parents he was also eager for the comfort of the few stable and consistent things in his life. He took a cautious step forward after Bronze told him they were bigger than before. The yellow marked boy narrowed icy blues and scanned all around the outcropping. He shook his head and shrugged at his brother's question stepping back towards him. "I don't know. I know rocks can grow when water runs over them and drop off mineral deposits but these don't look like that's the case." A flash of curiosity sparked across his face. "I was going to break off a piece and see what happened." He said, gesturing to the rock he'd brought with him, it was a rudimentary thing, pointed at one end and the other just big enough for him to get a good grip on it. "Want to do the honors or shall I?" "Precious stones"
