Above his head, the moon hung low in the sky. Its position hadn't moved in what felt like years. Full and sinister, that large rock's appearance had brought with it a fearsome plague that wasn't going away any time soon. Having abandoned any sort of civilized behavior as soon as the whispers began to tickle his eardrums, Gil reduced himself to that of his ancestors. Frenzied, hungry, and unsure of who he was anymore, the large wolf set out on tracking the other predator in front of him. Gone was the notion that he possibly had the balls to take down another wolf and now he had resorted to this.
Careful feline steps left imprints in the snow ahead of him. It wasn't like the mountain lion was harming anyone. But the sores and fungus that grew from its tan body were threatening. Maybe it had been the one to begin the spread of the disease. At least, that's what the voices in his head had begun telling him. With his body low to the ground, ears flattened, and teeth bared in preparation for what he was about to do, Gil crept closer to the mountain lion. From the winds that wafted toward them over the prairie, he could tell a herd of bison was grazing nearby. Logically, any sane wolf would assume the mountain lion was just on its way to going hunt itself.
But Gil wasn't his normal self. He really wasn't being sane either. Without a second thought, as his brow furrowed over the screaming voice in his mind, he charged toward the feline. Teeth began to gnash together as his paws reached out to swipe at it. Unfortunately for him, it had noticed and swung around in time with its own claws swiping at Gil's face. Loud guttural sounds erupted from both of them as they backed away and grew closer, beginning a dance of two predators ready to kill.

A decease has been taking over Boreas' wolves and creatures, a decease she felt lucky hasn't touch her, remaining unaffected by such thing. It was unfortunate for those who weren't that lucky, but she's been doing her best to keep that away from her pack lands, if that would help anyways. But she wondered if other predators would be also infected, and if that would have a certain change on them. The prairie had that unusual colors she've seen before, blues and bright colors filled the grass with bioluminescent fungi also taking part in this festival of insanity and filt. Well she saw its as filt as filt could bring sickness right? Animals growing those same mushrooms and crystals made her think those where the reason for many wolves in such conditions. Walking through she was soon to catch a commotion. Silent like a shadow she approached two see a wolf and a cougar engaging. Well, she wanted to take on the fun against the mushroom headed cat. It's eyes reflected sickness, insanity, pouring blue substances. It was out of its head. Well, she wanted to help get rid of that aberration and potentials threat. And likes that the large female was quick to join the fray with her Katana between her teet, and as clean as she could she would slice it across the feline's spine, hoping to paralyze it for the other's wolf sake. Blood was drawn quickly as his cheek opened up with lacerations. The cougar itself had a scratch on its shoulder. Gilgamesh pressed toward it, leaning his body toward the ground as he readied to pounce on the feline. His snarls rippled in his throat as his muscles bunched. Readying himself, Gil launched into a full leap toward the cougar's face. Met with sharp claws that pulled at his skin, he was on top of the cougar in no time. Beginning to wrestle with the feline as blood and ooze splattered around them, Gil grew into even more of a frenzy. This could be his one and only time to end something's life.
From nearby, his ear turned to catch the sound of someone else approaching. Worried that another cougar had come to help fend him off, Gil quickly untangled himself from the feline and back up a few steps while snapping at the cat. Both ears pressed to his crown, he spat blood and goo in its direction as the pink-coated girl came closer. Before he or the cougar could react, she wielded a blade that glinted in the moon's light. Watching as she swiftly brought it down, the cougar turned and swiped at the girl with a loud hiss. Her blade would hit the mark as skin flayed open along the lower end of its spine.
Blood pooled from its injury as its back legs seemed to give. Impressed and amazed, Gil smiled wildly at the girl. Focusing back on the cougar that was determined to fend for its life, Gil took another few crazed swipes at it.
