Having been born into a world that some thought was coming to an end, Levi wasn't sure what all the fuss was about. He'd never seen the sun, never felt the warmth of a spring breeze ruffle his coat and that was fine, he simply didn't know what he was missing. Couldn't mourn something he'd never experienced. And yet he sensed the lingering unease, how none of the adults seemed to want to do anything, let alone spend much time with Levi and his bigger siblings. Maybe that should have bothered him, made him feel lonely and rejected but like most things the runt took it in his stride. He just didn't care, couldn't find it in himself to worry about everyone else when there was plenty for him to do.

Notably, sometimes when he stood at the beach and tipped his ears forward he could hear whispers on the wind. Too quiet to make out, but distracting all the same. With a huff, he leapt to his paws and reared up into the air, trying and failing to chomp on one of the blue lights that drifted just out of reach. Too high for his little form to grab.

Ever since he met with the cloaked man that Kiyo spoke of and received a strange clod of something or other. He was assured at the time of purchase that it would be good for styling his coat pattern, but he hardly understood what that meant. He still couldn't explain why he looked different than he remembered, but maybe this would answer some more of his questions. Or at least make him look the way he was used to looking, anyway.

He carried the bath bomb to one of the small streams in the plains, carefully used some sticks and stones to create a small pool, and tossed the bath bomb in. He waited a moment, but then decided to just hop in. What could it hurt? It looked like it was just a bunch of mud and mushrooms anyway, so what did he have to lose?

As he settled into the cool steam water with the bath bomb, Magnus then noticed someone jumping around after the little blue lights. Those bugs were the least of his concern now, but the longer they seemed to stick around the more bad things seemed to happen. He was one of few left that had yet to be infected with any kind of crystal or mushroom invasion. The little pup that played some distance away seemed to be safe from the affliction as well, but deeply curious about the bugs. He wondered who the pup belonged to actually, letting them run around like that chasing bugs while the world was slowing succumbing to a mysterious illness. Although it bothered him, Magnus allowed himself and his aching joints to rest in the pool he created for himself while he waited to see if the bath bomb he purchased would have any sort of effect.

"Speech."

The hovering bugs didn't distract the young pup for long. His attention soon flitted to a hobbling stranger, one he'd never seen before. They were tall and dark, seemingly distracted by the round ball he clutched between his teeth. Blinking, Levi watched him wander to the water where he promptly settled in after taking a moment to prepare a makeshift bath, from the looks of it. Padding over, Levi lingered by the side watchful and curious. So many questions sprung to mind and as a little prince he had every intention of asking till he had his fill. As an adult it was his job to listen and tell him all he wanted to know, right?

"Where did your leg go?" He asked, with a childlike bluntness and then his gaze turned to the water, which seemed to be shifting to a different colour. Unlike the darkness of the sky it had taken a softer hue. "What are you doing?"

His peace wouldn't last for long and soon the small pup was at the edge of his little pool, peering inside and asking questions he wished he knew the answer to. He hardly took the time to consider that it was rude to ask such a thing, his mind stuck on wishing he knew where his leg went. His purple gaze, tired and aging, looked down to the small pup. "Your guess is as good as mine, kid." He answered his first question, his tone remaining flat and hardly anything sarcastic. The kids guess was in fact actually as good as his own.

The second question he could at least answer to a point, but even he still didn't know what it was. A bath bomb? Strange.
"I'm taking a bath. What are you doing out here alone? Don't you know that you could get sick playing out here?" The striped markings across the kids face reminded him of Sirius and Azure, and he wondered who the kid belonged to. Either way, he doubted anyone would be happy with their tiny pup playing out alone in the strange happenings whether it was within the pack borders or not. Although neither of them seemed to be infected with anything, neither of them could be safe either. Magnus didn't believe that he had anything to lose if he became infected. He already didn't know half of who he was and was far older than he remembered. This child was small and certainly too young to be out playing on their own if his own opinion were asked of him.

"Speech."

He didn't know where his leg had gone? Levi tipped his head slightly, ears flopping. Had he simply misplaced it? Surely such a thing wasn't impossible, the pup lost some toys sometimes and usually sniffed them out after a bit of searching. But a whole limb! Either this guy's nose didn't work very well or it had been taken from him, that was the pups leading theory. Either way, the adult's response was rather flat and unemotive, quite unlike all the happy-go-lucky facade his elders tended to put on around him. It was better this way, no one was forcing a smile.

Levi shrugged. He was out here because he wanted to be, just because he had siblings didn't mean he had to follow them around like a tiny shadow. As for this sickness he'd spoken of, well he'd seen plenty of adults all sick and tired but no one his age. If he was gonna get ill wouldn't he have caught it off his Mum or Dad by now? That was how it worked right? Maybe, how was he supposed to know when being born into a world like this, where the strange didn't seem so...strange.

"Wanted to." And that was true enough. "Why are the adults sick?" Seemed like a fair question to ask, one nobody had the answer to just yet.

The boy let the topic of his leg go and for that he was grateful, because what else was he supposed to say? He didn't know how to explain to a pup that he lost his memories and with that, his leg and what had happened to it. That was going to open up a whole new can of worms in the form of questions and that he really just didn't know how to answer. If he could answer them, then all his personal problems would be solved.

The child went on then to say that he wanted to be out here playing. Had he asked his parents first? Magnus didn't consider that the boy might be too young to know a world unlike this one, but his parents certainly weren't. "They're sick because they went out and got nosy like you. Do your parents know you were out here alone?" His brow furrowed at the smaller boy, trying to enjoy his 'bath bomb' and whatever it was doing.

A shiver rattled its way down the pup's spine, only to flee as quickly as it had emerged. And then there was someone in front of him, not a pack mate or even a wolf. Just a thing. Levi blinked, unsure of where the newcomer had come from, let alone what it even was. He'd given him some kind of currency, only to encourage him to spend it? Was he even old enough to be trusted with such a responsibility? In the young pups eyes, most certainly. Intrigued by the long tube with holes in it, Levi pointed at it with a flick of his golden paw. And as soon as the exchange was made, he promptly blew into it.
