He didn't rush to join the pack as the king had invited him to, but he wasn't going to keep him waiting long either. He had spent a few days at camp with Azzurra off the shore of Auster, telling her about how he was invited into the pack. It wasn't any sort of ambition he had, but it was something that they had vaguely talked about together. He did have his own doubts of protecting and providing for her just as himself. But it still gave him some sort of pride knowing that he had.

Aboard the raft, he carefully pulled along the shore of the Isle, not wanting it to seem like he was here to infiltrate. He gave plenty of time for someone of the pack to notice his presence but still he called out softly to the alpha who he had met outside the pack lands before he made it to the island. When the raft came along the shore his paw extended to his sister, asking her to join him on the beaches before he pulled the raft away from the water.

He didn't go any further though, staying in the sands and carefully raising his paw to rub gently across her back as he took a seat and made himself comfortable. He felt like he was doing this for her, though he didn't really have any hesitation in doing so either.

"Balthier"

So many had been invited into the folds of Fenmyre as of late that Chimera had expected to hear from someone sooner or later. The long night had drawn wolves out and had shown the king that more blood was needed within his kingdom so that his wolves could thrive. Young, old, it didn't matter. As long as they showed the drive to persevere and work hard, he would extend his paw to them and offer the protection of his pack.

When the soft call of beckoning came, the King wasn't too far away. As he neared the edge of the water, he noted that it was the boy that he'd offered a place to. The corners of the man's maw curled upward in a faint smile and he approached the pair of young wolves. His sister, of course. Dipping his crown, the king greeted them. "Welcome to Fenmyre. I'm glad that you took the time to think about your decision." Chimera was in no hurry, but it was good that the boy had thought into it. Chi turned his mismatched gaze to the girl and nodded. "Chimera Klein, King of Fenmyre."

Motioning for the pair to follow him, Chimera led then through the jungles of Fenmyre and towards the bungalows that had been prepared for guests. "Choose any of these. You'll be able to rest. I'll have one of my companions deliver your lion hide promptly." If either of them had questions, he would answer them once they chose a new home.

"Speech"

When Balthier had presented the idea of joining a pack he had been invited to she was only slightly hesitant to do so only because it was a pack she had never heard of and didn't know much about. She was of course willing to trust Balthier's judgement on the matter and agreed to join the pack fairly easily. She was at least relieved to be living somewhere that she both wouldn't feel like such a burden on Balthier and would hopefully feel a bit more independence from him as well. She loved him dearly and nothing would change that, but she couldn't shake the slight unease she had felt since the night that they fought and he stormed out because she kept pressing for him to tell her what was bothering hm. She hoped that having other pack members to lean on would give her just a bit of breathing room so she wouldn't worry so much about upsetting him again.

They reached the shore of the pack and she joined her brother on the beach as he called for their alpha, glancing up at him with a slight smile as he rubbed her back. Hopefully living here would go more smoothly for them than living in Abaven had. Soon enough a male that was nearly split down the middle between dark and light approached them and she looked up at the massive male curiously. This was very obviously the leader Balthier had told her about even before he introduced himself with his name and title. She gave him a little dip of her head in return, offering him a gentle smile. "Azzurra Destruction," she replied in kind. He seemed nice enough so far and didn't give Azzurra any reason to be nervous of him so she relaxed a bit now that she finally had a face to go with the description she had been given.

She got to her pale paws once Chimera began to lead them through the jungle of trees and plants, her sapphire gaze roaming over the landscape as they went. Eventually a row of buildings was revealed to them and she tilted her head with curiosity at them. She had never seen structures like these before. The closest thing she had seen was the castle they had visited when they had gone in an attempt to see their mother the one time, but these were much smaller and more numerous than that. She was surprised, but pleased when they were told to pick one of these bungalows and she looked at them briefly before getting Balthier's attention and pointing out one that sat on the shore with a cluster of palm trees around it. "How about this one?" It looked like it would be easy to get the raft up to this portion of the beach at least so it seemed like a good one to claim.

"Azzurra"

Balthier tipped his head slightly to the king as he greeted them, looking gently to Azzurra with a hidden smile as she introduced herself. They were brought up proper, Allegro had taught them manners but also had the kindness of their born pack. He still felt some sort of pride to believe that she could behave just as he did. Without hesitation, Balthier followed along after Chimera as he showed them to their soon to be living area. Balthier had to admit that living in the buildings of this island would take some getting used to. He had seen some similar on their short journey even if she hadn't while he been wandering more, but they grew up in a large dug out family den and that's what he preferred on his and Azzurra's travels. The buildings seemed much more fit for living though, so he wouldn't complain.

Chimera gestured to the number of huts along their route, his eyes moved as Azzurra pointed out the one on the end closest to the beach. "It's perfect." He smiled down at her with a gentle brush of his shoulder. He too with the raft on his mind looked back towards it's current resting place. He did honestly wonder how much more often they would use it, but it was better to sit it somewhere for when the time came whether it was a short trip or a long one.

Looking back to Chimera, his face still gentle but not as bright as the eyes he gave his sister, "I'll be happy to run which ever patrol you'd need me to start practicing." He had never done full patrols on his own before, there were so many older residents in Abaven. But it didn't give him any doubt that he wouldn't be able to handle it after being shown the routes on both territories. "I appreciate what you can do for us."

"Balthier"

Chimera nodded at the girl when she gave her name, then followed the pair as they proceeded to choose their dwelling. He would need to know where to find them if they were needed. As the young fae made the choice for them, the boy went along willingly. The king arched a brow, noting how compliant the young brute was with his sister's will. Then he shook his head and brushed it off.

Balthier then turned to him, offering to run patrols once he was shown the ropes. The king nodded. "This will be expected of you. You'll run the island first, then later you'll run the mainland." With his speckled nose, Chimera indicated different directions. "First patrol runs a half circuit on the perimeter of the front of the island, then cuts through the jungle to return. Second patrol runs the back and cuts through the middle." He then looked in the direction of the mainland where the dam rested. "Those with the most fighting experience run patrols around the dam." Just in case someone decided to test their mettle.

The beast brought his gaze back to the boy. "I'll have you run patrols with another for a short time, then you'll be expected to fall into the rotation and begin on your own." His gaze then shifted to the girl. "You are expected to contribute in whatever way you're able as well." Whether that was by crafting, hunting, pupsitting, whatever. Everyone was expected to contribute.

"Get settled and rest for today," the man spoke. He reminded the pair where the food stores were before nodding and taking his leave. He was glad to have the boy and his sister here. Chimera saw great promise in the black and gold lad.

"Speech"
