The grizzly was on Eska's tail and it was coming in fast and hot. Was there something wrong with it, she wondered? It's eyes seemed milky as though it was blind and it was breathing a little heavily, but that could have been part of the anger and rage that ran through it. The silvered woman had seen rabies and other strange diseases before, and this didn't seem like that. Then what was it? Using the dips and turns of the gulley to put some distance between herself and the bear, Eska curled around a tree and snapped her jaws into its haunch, ripping with all of her might in an attempt to make it  bleed and give her enough time to take a breather. The bear roared and swiped out at her, but she dodged just in time, ducking and feeling the air of the swipe against the back of one black ear. This... wasn't going to be easy. "Eska"

Aris had been combing through the area for some of the herbs she'd had memorized while Tansy hunted, when a furious roar made them both jump. What the fuck was that? Aris hopped up on her hind legs like a meerkat to peer over the clump of tall grass blocking her view and blinked when she saw another wolf tangling with a bear. "Oh hell yes," she breathed, excitement kindling in her eyes. Now this was going to be fun.

Dropping back to all fours she sprang off towards the combatants, startling Tansy so much that she jumped again before following after her. Aris didn't really plan so much as she just kind of yeeted herself at the bear, claws and teeth alike sinking into its ass on the opposite side as Eska had attacked, and clinging there like a burr as she chomped her oversized leopard teeth in deeper and deeper into the muscle.

OOC: feel free to mildly PP Aris if you need to, I'll work with it

It wasn't going to be easy, but the aid of another would certainly make it easier. The wolf was small, but size had never mattered to Eska. She knew that skill came in all packages. Besides, the girl had the balls to simply stride right in and take a bite, so the silver dame couldn't fault her for that in the slightest. Balls were half of the battle. Good thing both fae's were packing. As the purple wolf sank her teeth into the bear, Eska shifted her form around the opposite side, taking up suit and sinking her own teeth in. The bear, it's attention pulled in opposite directions, didn't quite seem to know what to do at first and just let the wolves chomp it. Whatever worked, Eska supposed. She ripped her teeth through the thick flesh and tendons at the back of one heel, attempting to bring the bear down long enough to do a bit of damage and hopefully run it off. Golden eyes flitted to the purple girl, making sure that she wasn't crushed if the beast fell. "Eska"

Whatever else was wrong with the bear to have pissed it off so much to begin with, getting its ass bitten - twice - didn't seem to particularly endear them to it and it bawled out its hurt and anger when Eska's teeth caused its leg to collapse under it. It nearly sat on Aris but the girl gleefully released her bite and used her feline claws to clamber up its back like a tree with an excited whoop before sinking her teeth back into its ear instead and whipped her head back and forth like a terrier with a rat.

Obviously the bear did not particularly enjoy that. It couldn't seem to decide more whether to swat the wolf that took its leg out from under it or the one happily ripping at its ear and so it tried to do both by throwing itself to the ground and trying to alligator roll over both of them. Aris was nearly squished, again, but threw herself free just in time and landed with a thump that knocked the wind out of her.

Eska... laughed. The sheer joy in the young wolf was contagious and the older fae couldn't help the grin that split her dusty lips. She remembered those days. The joy of killing and fighting and hunting. Time had worn that away some, but seeing this... she remembered and she liked it. The bear did not. It was confused and its disposition was shifting from killing to fleeing. With Aris on the bears head and the bear beginning to roll, the larger wolf ran a few paces and then threw on some speed. She launched at the bear, four paws connecting with its side to try and knock a bit of its air out as well as prompt it to get up and go. It worked and a loud whoosh left the bears lungs as its air was depleted. The bloodied ursine pulled itself to its paws and began to waddle off through the foliage, not really in a hurry, but confused and knowing that it was the wisest choice. Eska watched it go, her tongue flicking out to lick a bit of blood from her chin. Casting her sulfuric gaze to the striped girl, she nodded her thanks. "Well that was enjoyable, eh?" Eyes crinkling in a light smile, she nodded again. "Eska of The Hallows. Thank you for your aid." "Eska"

Aris was luckily young enough to bounce back quickly and was already back on her paws when the bear decided discretion was the better part of valor, and turned and ran. "Yeah you better keep running!!" she shouted after it, head and tail high and a wide grin on her face as she turned to the other woman, who introduced herself. "Fuck yeah it was," Ari chortled. "Aris Fatalis of Armada. It was my pleasure. You ever need an extra set of teeth and claws you let me know! Nothing gets the blood pumping like a fight." She eyed the path the bear had taken to retreat and chuckled to herself again. Stupid bear hadn't even known what hit him.
