Ah, sunlight. Glorious, bright, warm. She didn't quite realize she had missed the absence so much in the weeks of darkness that winter offered, form when she stepped back into Boreas with barely a glimmer on the horizon until the several weeks of pure darkness before the sun returned. Even into spring, which really just extended the winter. Until the temperature warmed quite a bit, it was the sun that warmed and melted the snow. The South was never bad for snow, but it kept a chill and prevented the growth of new vegetation. Things were only just starting to grow, and it made her wary of how that would impact the growing season and the future seasons. For now, though, she was going to enjoy one of her favourite areas near home. A place that she had made her home, for now.

The Orchard. A beautiful, wild place with sweet fruits in the summer and fall, and beautiful flowers in the spring. Those were only just budding now; late, but still there. Thankfully. Half of spring had been lost to the darkness, but the light was changing it rapidly here in the south. Some trees were already starting the bloom, others still only bud, and some flowers on the ground blooming in full. The warmth made her sleepy; she stretched out in a nice grassy patch, sprawling right on her side as she heaved a sigh. She was full for now, with no need to hunt, having successfully hunted the day prior... so for now, she would enjoy the grasses and the warmth and the sweet smells of a beautiful spring day.

Of course the snake had been happy when the sun returned. His time cold and in the dark was over. More over he had come to learn that the wolves who dominated had gone through some times. Koby hadnt seen many of his wolf friends and he feared they had died without him being able to say goodbye. Death was a natural occurence even in his culture, he didnt feel sad more he mourned for lost time. Regardless now that his scales had warmed he was out. The orchard was a curious place to him, though many a place for him to hide. The slithering creature flickered out his tongue. He scented wolf excitement drawing a shiver through him.

Koby headed toward the scent, though he kept low his hood flanked against him. It wasnt until he was a safe amount away that he gasped slightly. What a specimen! He stood up within sight, carefully making sure he tried to appear unthreatening. "You are a ssssight of beauty if i cam ssay." he slome clearly in his gentle voice. At least what he had percieved as kind among the wolf kind. After all he had read quiet a few fortunes at this point.

The movement at first didn't catch her eye, and then both snapped wide open moments later as she processed what she saw. Yep. That was a very, very large snake rearing up. But then, the movement was off. It wasn't fast. It was slow, fluid. Very different from normal. And then the snake spoke.

Lyra's mouth opened, closed. Opened, and closed again. As she processed a snake talking, and then what the snake said. A snake was talking to her and it was complimenting her. Was she hallucinating? She didn't eat any fun mushrooms this time though. Though the idea of ever touching mushrooms again was... Horrifying after the events of her return to the continent.

"Thank you? As are you a mesmerizing sight yourself." She managed to make only the first half a sort of question; something she was proud of if you asked her
