The river. Jack found herself enchanted by the reflective surface, by the way it spread before her. Tall and bright, the girl’s eyes glimmered. All was well, and all was beautiful. Spring was getting hot, and summer would be on the way soon. With that much heat and warmth, there was only one thing Jack could do. Taking a few great, wild leaps and bounds, the girl threw herself into the river. With a great splash and an excitable bark, Jack relished the coolness of the water as it seeped into her coat. She came up laughing, grinning. Everything was beautiful, everything wonderful. Hell, Jack was wonderful. Her tail wagged at her haunches, and her head tossed. What a phenomenal sort of day. |

Faith Fallen
Faith kind of didn't know what to do with herself, she was frankly kind of a mess. She could feel her family pulling apart and try as she might she wasn't able to force it to remain together. Aunt Calamity had died, Pontifex was gone and now even Modesty seemed like she was gearing up to just leave. And frankly, Faith was kind of a mess about it. She was spending a lot of time moping about, even the voices were sadder as of late, to her it meant they were distraught just as she was to see the faithful so fractured but Faith had not the power to hold them all together, try as she might.
So Faith moped her way to the river, her pawsteps heavy and without the usual sort of grace, she carried herself with. Perhaps for the first time in her short life Faith also happened to miss noticing a pretty girl, despite the splashing her focus was so deep on her paws that when she got to the river's edge and stared down at her own rippling reflection she'd still failed to realize she wasn't alone, her brooding was likely about to be interrupted.
my words | my thoughts | my story
Faith sometimes has visions (auditory and/or visual), she may react to them. They are not perceptible to others.

Splashing about in the high afternoon sunlight, Jack really is quite pleased with herself. There's plenty of fish here, and really, she could camp out for a few days if she really wanted. A few days... a few days to be anywhere seemed like a long time, but if there was anywhere the sandy creature could see herself staying it was probably here. At least for now. At least until finding somewhere to put down roots, and maybe find a band of more likeminded individuals. Likeminded, those inclined to chaos similar to her own. Really, anyone who liked to have a good time. Couldn't get too close to anyone that was too stuffy, too hard out for doing things the right way. Hell with the right way, Jack wanted to have fun. That was the entire reason she was here in the first place. Taking in the world around her, it was easy to be inclined to all the beautiful things. As she stood still for a long moment, the fish that she'd initially scared off began to return. The grasses by the banks were tall, and could conceal any number of creatures-- predator or prey, friend or foe. It seemed like the river itself went on for ages in either direction. Really, all of it was quite incredible. For what it's worth, Jack thought herself incredible too. As her gaze tracked up the river, she could see... someone. From this distance, Jack could be certain of one thing and one thing only-- they were pretty. Always fond of pretty things, the girl splashed her way towards the creature. Her tail wagged and her head was high. If they didn't take well to her advances she could just as easily spar, or fuck off entirely. Really, anything would do, Jack just needed a little excitement. Something to spice up her day. She dipped her head to pick up a mouthful of water before spitting it in a long arc in the stranger's direction. With bouncing steps, she'd move to close the gap a bit further, but leave herself plenty of face to make a swift exit just in case. The bouncing left water splashing up in all directions, out from her rather large paws. "Boo." The word came with raised eyebrows and a playful posture. Would they engage with the game, or had she already crossed social boundaries too much? |
