Let's Share Some Knowledge

Iolaire was a thinker. She liked to wander, find new things and craft new, exciting items with her findings. Today, she was out on an entirely different mission. Some of the alpaca's that The Hallows had were getting a little sick. Their eyes were running and their noses were snotty. So far, she'd had little luck in treating them, even with her extensive knowledge of healing. Alpaca systems just weren't the same as wolf systems. And so, the tiny fae made her long trek to the land where she knew the herdsmen lived. The ash, obsidian and snow fae stopped at the border to the pack in question and tipped back her head, calling for an alpha or an escort or anyone that might have the power or wherewithal to answer her questions. She hoped that the wolves of this pack might give her the knowledge to heal the long necked snacks. Err... livestock. One had died just before she had decided to leave. If she didn't find a cure, more would be on their way out. Her mother had worked hard to collect those alpacas and Iolaire wasn't about to let them die without a fight. "Speech" |

The call at the border brought Tyrian at an easy lope. He was curious as to who it would be. With the world finally getting to the way it had been he expected to get a lot more foot traffic. There were, as several members of his family were quick to point out, parties to be had and the like. Tyrian was just looking forward to a sense of normalcy. He longed for the steady running of the herds; the routine that saw them begin and end their days. Just for a time. A little breather before he set forth his plans again. The woman waiting for him wasn't one he'd met before if his memory served him correctly. Her markings were distinctive and he was fairly confident he would have remembered her. Tyrian dipped his head in polite greeting and said, "My name is Tyrian, alpha of Fireside. What brings you here, stranger?" While his words lacked a certain hospitable touch, Tyrian's tone was friendly. He was the suspicious sort when dealing with strangers in an official capacity, but he wasn't without manners and he was genuinely curious about what had brought her to his border. "" |

There was no expected rush. Territories were big and so Io didn't mind waiting for someone to arrive. In the background, grazing to her hearts content, the dwarf reindeer shuffled and chewed, lifting her head only when the big blue man began to approach. Ila's prey senses were keen and she was always the early warning system for the two predators. Ashur, the leopard, was curled up in the shade of trees nearby. The large man drew up to the border and he looked amicable enough to suit the small, rangy fae. After introducing himself, the corners of Io's green and gold eyes lifted as she shot him a lopsided little grin, having to tilt her head to look up to him. "Well you're a tall one," she began with a little chuckle. Always easy going, there was little pomp in the dark dame. She'd come too far, had lived through much, and had paid her dues. She was never rude, but she wasn't exactly businesslike or the best diplomat. Iolaire was Iolaire and would forever be. She was like that grandma that no longer cared what the world though of her... even though Io wasn't all that old. "Iolaire Akeldama of The Hallows," she introduced herself in turn. "Good to meet you, Tyrian of Fireside." With her dusty blue nose, she pointed at the expanse of territory behind him. "I'm told that you deal with livestock here." Silver brows lifted in question. "The Hallows also deals with livestock, but we've run into a little problem. I was hoping to pick your brain a bit and possibly offer trade in knowledge or items in turn." Then the small woman waited for him to consider her offer, a gentle breeze coming up from behind to ruffle her ebony coat to which she gave a happy little sigh. "Speech" |

Without missing a beat, Tyrian replied, "Am I? Hadn't noticed." His sense of humor was dry enough to be mistaken for irritation at times, but in this instance he really was amused with the woman's opener. It was just unexpected enough to surprise him, but considering the woman's appearance, not too terribly unexpected. She was shockingly skinny and her open expression had him guessing she was going to be pretty straightforward with him. All in all he got the sense he was dealing with a quirky individual. Something about that immediately put him in a teasing mood. Even though he was inclined to like this quirky woman, for security reasons his face did stay neutral when she mentioned Fireside's livestock. Just because she knew he had them didn't mean he had to acknowledge any other aspect of their existence from the get go. No, that information had to be earned. Why? Because there were wolves out there like him who would jump at the chance to raid if they knew a pack had something good, as Tyrian now knew the Hallows did. Not that his knowledge now necessarily led to that, but he would be lying if he said he wouldn't think about it. For now, that side of this new knowledge was shuffled off out of mind. It sounded like there were other things to be gained here if he was amenable. If Tyrian had learned anything from the plague it was that investing in relations with other packs was probably worth Fireside's while. "Is that so? Well, let's hear this problem, then. If I have answers we can discuss the worth of them then, eh?" "" |
