Setting the Mortar [Tel]

The time was nearing, and sooner than she’d initially planned. The Plague and the Long Dark had taken much out of her. In the coming Autumn she would be seven, and Ardyn was more than ready to step up. However, first she had much to arrange.

It wouldn’t be kind to drop the whole of Valhalla on Ardyn’s shoulders and he would need advisors until he had fully settled into the role of the Spirit… or rather, the Ard-Rí. High King. It suited him, she thought.

He’d been sharing his ideas with her and Red as they came to him, bouncing ideas off the more experienced pair. He had solid intentions that would align well with the spirit of Valhalla. A home and Family to those who needed one, were ambitious enough to rise and improve themselves for the good of the pack and their own good, and were loyal.

She paused as she found a spot that suited and lifted her head to call for Tel. For now, it was time for the girl’s training session.
