Little had changed since his parents had all but retired to their quiet life in the north. Bronze and his siblings were officially on their own now, though they knew exactly where their mother and father were if they needed anything from them at all... and yet still little had changed, besides seeing them a bit less and seeing his siblings a bit less too. They'd been raised to be independent, relying on themselves even before one another, and their upbringings had made the transition seamless. Still he remained in the north, glad when the long night was concluded and he was free to breathe again, without worrying about Onyx's well-being as much. Still he feared her strength hadn't fully returned but he couldn't spend all his energy worrying about her when she could do just fine on her own. He breathed a sigh as he found a whiff of Hauyne's scent and latched on to it, noting he was nearby. May as well check in with his brother to see how he was adjusting now that life had gone back to normal.

Haüyne had chosen to stay up north after their parents had decided to settle into a more calm life, the long night had kept him further from where he knew his family was but he was slowly making his way back. He wasn't totally sure where his siblings might be but he wasn't too worried, maybe it was hubris but some part of the boy was certain his family had made it out of the night. But it seemed that he and Bronze would soon cross each other. Haüyne stopped as he realized that his had picked up his brother's scent.
"Bronze." Haüyne's called out as he whirled around to see his brother, his tail just barely twitching behind him. He wasn't a particularly emotionally open wolf but he knew he didn't need to be, his brother would understand. "Good to see you."

It was surprising his brother was so easy to find, though Bronze wouldn't pass it off as fate. The yearling wasn't sure he believed in such a thing. The north was their home though and familiar to all of his siblings as well as his parents. If anyone could find him out here, or vise versa, it would be no doubt be family. When he finally reached Hauyne he gave a nod of acknowledgment. Though he could certainly force outward emotion when needed it went against what came naturally for him; being calm and stoic was his natural state. His own tail gave a small flick as he lowered himself to his haunches in front of him, glad for a break from walking, at least for now.
"It's good to see you too, brother. Did the summer treat you well?" He knew Onyx had recovered from her illness and while he and Hauyne were fortunate enough to have not contracted the same illness she'd fallen sick with, still he found himself worrying about his siblings. Not enough to trail after them all the time, but he certainly thought of them daily and had no qualms with dropping everything to help them if they needed it.
