In her efforts to spend more time with all of Chimera's children, she set her sights on Scylla. The girl was a bit of a loner in many regards and she tried to think of something that would fall in line with the girl's unusual interests so at least Scylla would want to do something with her. While she was out doing her morning patrol she spotted a few crocodiles basking in the nearby cove. The large, scaly, sharp toothed creatures did at least have many features that she thought Scylla might be interested in for her collection of things so she presented the idea to the girl and brought her out to the cove with the plan to fight one of the crocodiles and hopefully have some crocodile skin and teeth to take back with them. She brought along some hunting knives just in case they might come in handy. They reached the edge of the cove and luckily the crocodiles hadn't moved much since she saw them an hour or so before. "Now be careful, okay? They're not that fast on land, but if they catch you it's very dangerous, alright?"

"Dalila Vista Rocha"

Scylla didn't really want to hang out with her parents girlfriend... until she mentioned that she wanted to take her to kill things. That had instantly piqued the girls interest. Just like Dalila, Scylla gathered up her supplies. She strapped the sheath to her foreleg, slid the serpentine dagger within, snatched up an old, worn satchel that she'd found, and was ready to go!

The two ladies made their way to the cove and Scylla listened as Dalila gave instruction. The girl took a minute to tie her tail up, making it easier to move around. Otherwise it would drag and slow her down. Sometimes she thought about cutting it shorter, but... this was the only aspect where the girl was rather vain. She loved her tail. "Just tell me the plan," the girl said, her eyes never leaving the reptiles on the beach. Her mind was observing them, working on her own plan. Their hides were tough, she knew. Reptile hides were always tough. She would have to strike tender places. If Dalila could flip one onto its back, then it was game over for the crocodile and hello new specimen for Scylla!

"Scylla Klein"

Dalila nodded and looked back to the crocodiles laying around in the cove. There was just a few of them and they were all pretty spaced apart. She didn't think that if they attacked one the others would come to their rescue. That didn't really seem like a very reptile thing to do, though she didn't know that for certain. "Alright, here's what we'll do... I've heard they don't have very strong muscles for opening their mouths so if we can get it's mouth kept closed with something then it'll be pretty easy to deal with it. Then we can flip it over and get to it's belly where it'll be softer and easier to stab through the scales." She glanced around for a moment before spotting the satchel that Scylla had brought. "If I jump on top of it and pin its head down could you maybe run in and wrap the strap of that around its muzzle? Then just hold that tight and I'll get it turned over."

She waited for Scylla to agree before she gave another nod and motioned for her to wait while she started to circle around behind the crocodile. She left a wide space between her and the reptile so she wouldn't be noticed, moving slowly and carefully to sneak around while using rocks and other obstacles to hide behind. Once she was in position she crept up behind it extremely quietly, taking care not to step on any loose stones or sticks. Once she was close enough she took a breath and then leapt on top of the reptile, landing with her front paws slamming down on its snoot and pinning it to the ground. It immediately started to wriggle and struggle under her but she held on, holding the crocodile down as best as she could so that Scylla could run up and tie up its muzzle.

"Dalila Vista Rocha"

Dalila laid out the plan and the girl understood instantly. One could say many things about Scylla, but you couldn't say that she was stupid. Her young mind was quick, her logic was superior and her instinct was above par. She understood the instructions and set off to do her part.

Scylla emptied the bag, looped it about one foreleg and prepared for action. She waited until Dalila had leaped upon the crocodile, wrangling it enough that the girl could be sure the woman's hold wouldn't slip. She then skirted up alongside the reptile, narrowly missing getting cracked by its thrashing tail. "OOOHHH-hohoo!" Scylla's eyes widened but she couldn't stop the sound of somewhat joyous surprise from erupting from her.

Collecting herself quickly, she jumped onto the crocodile's snout and began wrapping the satchel handles, tying them tightly. It was a little difficult with the beast wiggling all over the place, but she managed. "Got it!" She then leaped away, sending up a shower of sand when she landed. Curling back around, she waited, ready to help Dalila flip the reptile.

"Scylla Klein"

Dalila focused on keeping the crocodile from flailing enough to knock her off, trusting that Scylla would complete her part of this plan without her having to check and make sure. Sure enough, the slate girl hurried over with an excited exclamation as she dodged the croc's swinging tail and she quickly tied its muzzle tight with he straps from her bag. Dalila grinned victoriously and hopped off of the crocodile that was now rendered far less dangerous while it attempted to struggle to get its mouth open in vain.

She leapt away from the reptile as well, giving it a bit of space while she waited for an opening to dive back in and get it turned onto its back. It eventually worse itself out enough that it stopped flailing just long enough for her to jump in, reaching over its back to grab its front leg that was on the opposite side from where she was standing. She tried to bite it but knew that she probably wouldn't get that good of a grip on the scales so she hooked a foreleg around the limb as well just to make sure before she started yanking back on the limb. It wasn't easy to get the heavy reptile turned over, but with Scylla's help they managed and got the crocodile onto its back, exposing it's soft underside.

Not wanting to miss the opportunity, she pulled out the knife she had stashed in her bracer and drove it through the crocodile's throat. It was a bad enough wound that even if it didn't die right away it was at least mortally wounded enough that it certainly would eventually. She left the opportunity open just in case Scylla wanted to get her own blow in somewhere, but for now she'd just focus on keeping it from trying to turn over again and avoiding its wildly swinging tail.

"Dalila Vista Rocha"

Scylla had done her part and Dalila had done hers. Now they needed to work together. The woman jumped off of the crocodile and together they worked to flip the thing onto its back. The small child grunted and groaned, pushing with all of her might until they had the big reptile's pale underbelly exposed. Dalila leaped onto it again, removing a hidden dagger so that she could stab the thing in the throat. Scylla did the same, but she sank her serpentine blade into the crocodile's belly. They were going to have to remove the guts anyway, right? She'd sharpened the blade herself and, again using all of her might, cut upwards, slicing through the softer scales of the crocodile's underside.

With the wound in its throat and its guts hanging out, the beast soon died. Scylla was covered in sand and blood, but she didn't mind one bit. The girl was terribly pleased with what they'd accomplished. She looked to Dalila and grinned. "Did you know that if you take the guts out, things are a lot easier to carry?" The girl then rambled about all of the facts that she knew about crocodiles and other things as she dug a little ditch in the sand beside the croc. With her knife and with her own two paws, she quickly and efficiently eviscerated the beast. Its steaming guts were deposited in the ditch and Scylla didn't even bother kicking sand over it. Sea birds and other things would be along to eat the remains before too long.

"I wonder if this is light enough for us to drag back now," she spoke, her head tilting. "Crocodile and alligator are supposed to taste really good when cooked." Mismatched eyes lifted up to Dalila, silently begging the woman to try.
