It wasn't often these days that he and Azzurra had left the pack lands together. In fact, he wasn't sure if she had left the pack lands at all. He had ventured up north to collect kills for their stores and tone his fighting skills for the passing raid. He didn't necessarily have a leash around her neck, but maybe there was some sort of expectation that he had for her to stay safe inside Fenmyre. He wouldn't have scolded her, not unless he came back home and she was gone. He hadn't had the experience but it would have edged him to keep her closer to home.

After coming in from an early morning patrol, he found her sleeping in their hut, "Azzie," he whispered and nuzzled carefully at her ears to wake her up. He was going to invite her out on a hunt today, or he supposed whatever she wanted to do would be fine.

"Balthier Destruction"

Azzurra had been testing her own capabilities more and more. Little ventures off of the island, laps along the beach, trying out her skill at making traps and tools for hunting. Day by day she felt like she was getting tired less quickly and she was getting more confident in the idea that she might be able to make it somewhere and back without worrying about getting too tired. It was still a nervousness and a fear she was working through of thinking that if she tried to go anywhere on her own she might not be able to make it back, a remnant of the days where she was often too weak to even get out of bed. She no longer had the motivation of preparing herself to be without Balthier since they had mended things between them, at least for now, but she didn't want to lose the momentum she had started.

She was sleeping in a little bit after half waking up to see Balthier leave for a patrol, but she must have slept longer than she thought she had since the next thing she knew her brother was nuzzling at her ears. She blinked open her eyes with a long stretch, her toes flexing and spreading as she reached out across the bed. "Done with your patrol already?" she asked groggily, as her sapphire eyes landed on his gold-marked features with a little smile. Lifting a pale paw, she playfully gave his nose a little tap before she rolled herself into a sitting position, giving herself a little shake to help herself wake up. "What do you have planned for today?" she asked curiously, rubbing the sleep from her eyes.

"Azzurra"

Balthier huffed a chuckle as Azzurra tapped him on his nose, causing him to back up and giving her space to rise and get ready to wake up. "I thought we could go out today, maybe catch something for breakfast." He suggested, though raised a brow at her, "Unless you had something else in mind." It wasn't really intent for other things, though maybe through a tone in his voice may have suggested it. Balthier had truly missed the days where they lived on their own even if it hadn't lasted long. Now he was running patrols and hunting for the pack, hunting a lot with all the growing paws here. It seemed their one on one time outside the pack had diminished drastically.

His paw reached up to grab around hers to pull her out of the den before making it towards the ferry. They hadn't used the raft in a long time and it had been sitting nearby their bungalow. He didn't really mind or at least he hadn't shown it. His face turned towards his sister with a gentle smile to make sure she was keeping up with him.

"Balthier Destruction"

Azzurra smiled again when Balthier suggested that they go out together to catch something for breakfast. They hadn't been out hunting together in quite a while so she was eager to see how she did now that she had some more time to work on her strength. It was also nice that it was right after she woke up so that she'd have the most amount of energy she'd have through the day too. She chuckled a little when he mentioned her maybe having something else in mind and she gave a little shake of her head, though her cheeks did flush a bit at the thought. They seemed to have found their way with each other once again and with that came all of the affection and sex that they both gravitated toward. She loved the way he made her feel and how loved she felt in those moments that it was highly addicting and tempting to fall back to that all of the time. However, she did kind of miss just spending time with him and doing things like hunting so this was a nice change of pace.

He pulled her out of bed and out of the bungalow and she followed behind him dutifully all the way down to the ferry. She trotted down the beach with him, following just behind his shoulder at his side. She looked up at him to return his glance, giving him a smile. Once they were on the ferry and being steadily pulled across on the floating platform, she asked him, "Any ideas on what you want to hunt today?" She was curious to see if he had scouted anything in particular already or if they were starting the hunt out fresh together. She wouldn't mind either way, though the tracking portion of things she had less experience with so maybe that would be good for her to get more time doing while she had Balthier with her to show her.

"Azzurra"

They moved across the water from the island to the mainland, Azzurra asked if he had something in mind to hunt. But he in fact didn't. He liked to see her use her own skills and learn rather than give her a destination and target. He enjoyed watching her grow in that way. Though he didn't know her intentions of wanting to feel more independent of herself. "We'll see when we get out there." He spoke with a smile.

Balthier walked alongside her with a small step in the lead as they made it to the falls. This was where Chimera had found him and recruited him, so he knew he had to stay on edge for predators while here. He looked around, separating from Azzurra unless she stayed in step with him. He inspected a couple of the trees, sniffing the bark and along the grounds. He looked at her, a normal response when they went out to hunt together, "Let me know what you find." A gentle tone, he watched to see what his sister would discover.

"Balthier Destruction"

Azzurra nodded with a little grin when he told her that they would see what they found when they got there. Knowing that the hunt was open for interpretation and maybe even dependent on what she could find was daunting and exciting at the same time. She had never led a hunt before, only ever following what Balthier suggested. As they crossed over to the opposite shore she started thinking about all the things that he had taught her so she'd have all of it fresh on her mind when they got to their destination. The trip across on the ferry was a pretty quick one and she followed Balthier out past the Aspen Dams to reach the cedar wood forest on the other side. She hadn't been out this direction very much, but with the island still more or less in the distance it wasn't like they had really gone far.

She started searching the area with him, looking for any scents or signs of anything they could go after, glancing up at him when he told her to tell him what she found. She nodded and gave him a smile before getting back to work, her nose to the ground as she looked for anything of interest. She spotted a few tracks that she couldn't immediately identify, but once she found the scent trail that went along with them she recognized it as some wild boar from meals they had had in the past. It wasn't something she had hunted before, but it was the first thing she came across. "I think there's been some wild boars through here recently," she told him quietly, looking around through the trees. The tracks led off through the trees, the ground still soft from all the recent rains so their tracks were pretty noticeable. "Maybe we can build a trap for them over here and then track them down and drive one of them this way?"

"Azzurra"

He only watched as she looked around and tracked the scent of the hogs and found their tracks. He nodded gently with a smile as she had stated the prey nearby. She asked if they should build something to drive them over and trap them, his chin going slightly crooked as he thought quickly but accepted without much pause. "Good thought." He looked around at the forest, thinking of what they could use as resource for the trap since they hadn't brought anything with them. "Hogs aren't very agile, we can probably break down some of the trees and bushes and set up a small corral for them." He started to wander to get the supplies ready, if they were quick they wouldn't miss their opportunity to catch the wild hogs nearby. He started stacking thick brush and branches in a U shape to set up the mini corral beside the waterfall cliffs.
