Brown bear, brown bear, what do you see?
Cerberus

After the run in with the hyena pack while she was out with Albion it made her a bit more concerned with what predators might be lingering on the outskirts near their territory. With Ruse and all of Aliana's young boys running around the island there was a lot of small pups to worry about. Scylla and Albion were still pretty young as well and even Cerberus, the oldest of Chimera's children, was still just shy of a year old. She was less concerned about Cerberus though after seeing how he fought in the raid against Elysium's wolves which is why she decided to bring him along to scout out the Cedar Falls. He could hold his own and it would be good experience for the boy that was now plenty taller than her and looking less like a boy by the day.
"Keep an eye out for any predators," she told him as they passed from the Aspen Dam into the Cedar Falls. "I've been running into quite a few of them lately." It felt like they were all out and about more now that the long night was done and gone—wolves and predators alike. She knew it was likely because they were out getting the more abundant prey just like they were, but it still made their trips out of the pack more concerning. As they quietly scouted through the cedar forest she heard movement up ahead and eventually she spotted the large, brown bear at the edge of the falls, going for the fish that swam in the river. She lightly nudged Cerberus' shoulder with her own to get his attention, nodding toward the bear.

Cerberus was nearly at his full height but still had a lot of filling out to do from his youth. He had towered over at least the queens of Fenmyre though he hadn't acted any more like a man because of it. He still found comfort in Siren's grasp, he was a more sensitive boy with his emotions. He had always been more reserved and intellectual though. It was a little mix of both with him.
Not that he showed it, but he was quite excited to come out of the pack lands with Dalila. He walked just slightly behind at her side as they went forward which may have been weird given his much larger size than her. He obviously would have protected her when given the chance, but she was still his authority.
She gestured to the bear that was up ahead of them fishing, and he turned with a quiet voice, "What should we do?" But it seemed the bear had heard his whispers and started stirring before charging towards them. Cerberus actually couldn't help the bit of panic he felt as the bear started heading towards them. He still had his attention on the bear but turned to Dalila to see what their next action would be.

Cerberus asked what they should do and before she could answer the bear shifted and turned to look at them, making her freeze in place as she watched it wearily. The large predator rumbled as it turned to fully face them with a roar, clearly not pleased with their choice to be in what it considered its territory. It started to charge toward them and she nudged Cerberus out of the way before dodging to the side herself. Luckily the bear wasn't as nimble as them so she was able to jump out of the way as it snapped its slobbery jaws at her, narrowly missing its teeth. She swung her head at its nose, headbutting it in its snout and cutting the black, leathery nose with her crystal horns on the upswing. It roared and stumbled backward, giving her enough leeway to put some more space between her and the beast and to regroup, hurrying back to Cerberus' side to make sure he was okay.

Cerberus moved out of the way as Dalila suggested with her own movements, and only watched for a moment as she started facing off with the bear head on. When he watched her use her new horns, he too got the idea and pressed forward with his own nubs at the bear's shoulder and causing it to stumble backwards with the two wolves fending it off. He stepped backward with Dalila too, watching as the bear looked almost cross eyed at the two not sure who to swat at or if it should run. It let out a mighty roar like that was going to help it's case, it was still not ready to back down.

Once she was sure that Cerberus was okay, she returned her full attention to the bear. It's confidence seemed to have waned a bit, eyeing them both as it regained its bearings and gave an angry roar toward them. They probably could have turned and run at this point and she didn't think it would come after them, but since they were so close to the pack's borders she felt like they needed to make a point and drive it away so it wouldn't get brave and start crossing into their territory. With a glance toward Cerberus she nodded for him to follow her lead and she ran forward toward the bear with a snarl and her hackles bristled, growling as she snapped at its legs and shoulder, head butting its side and jabbing at it to drive it back. She had to jump back and dodge its blows a couple of times, but they wore it down, the bear stumbling back a couple of more times before finally turning to go back the way it came, splashing through the river to disappear into the woods on the other side.

Cerberus stayed a few steps back and let Dalila lead as they worked to fight the bear off from being so close to their territory. He had mimicked her attacks using his horns, but as she drove in again to try and get the bear to understand they weren't backing off, he jumped forward grabbing with his jaws at the bear's rib cage. His new sharp teeth shredded the flesh of the bear quickly, and it seemed that was enough to get it to turn tail and run. He still kept close to Dalila as it vanished off into the forests. He looked back to her to make sure they were set and she was okay before either patrolling more of the surrounding lands or heading back home. He was only here to help her.
