He wasn't totally sure what he was doing here. Perhaps he was tired of being alone. Maybe he was just looking for trouble. Whatever the case, he had seen his sister and it put him in a mood. On one paw, he wasn't sure if he should approach her for fear that she was still pissed at him. On the other, he wanted to approach and ask her how she'd been and just...talk to her. He had told her when she was still imprisoned by Ignis that he'd do anything for her, but it seemed maybe she didn't believe it because she had abandoned him. Maybe it was just something the family did. Feeling a swirl of emotions he couldn't quite name, he approached the ring and waited for his opponents to arrive. They weren't familiar to him, but they were from a pack. He didn't care who they were or where they were from, he just wanted a distraction from whatever he was feeling now. Without warning, he launched himself at the male with bared teeth, seeking to close the distance and just flat out slam into him with all of his weight. He then aimed his teeth at the mans neck, looking to grab a bite wherever he could land it. Sorcerer was also in a limbo in terms of what his life was and where it was going. He felt thankful he could live with family, with his cousin Recluse, his mom and siblings. And many more younger cousins. He wasn't physically alone, but in the emotional ways not so much, he felt lonely most of the time, having only his passion for the healing arts as company or as something to keep his mind occupied with. Outside that all felt.. empty? Tasteless, numb. He felt numb, and when tournaments came they were the perfect distraction he needed when he had nothing else. When he felt useless. He was paired with someone he had no knowledge of. Against two family members, his half siblings...But he didn't know them as much as he wanted, he wasn't even sure if they knew him at all. Shaking his head off the negative thoughts, he got himself in position. Eyeing his partner attack the male. He guessed he would go after her sister. Nodding he rushed forward aiming to run in a half circle to Venom's left. Aiming to place himself in a T sort of position, with Venom at the top. Plague walked into the tournament ring alongside Venom, eager to get a good fight in for the first time in a while. He frequently sparred with members of the pack or with his children and family, but he couldn't fully go all out in a spar like that. He still wouldn't aim to badly injure whoever they were up against, of course, but he could perhaps be a bit more intentional with his attacks and not pull back so much. He was also just glad to be spending some more time with Venom in a setting away from Ashen, away from the pressures of it all, and he hoped that now could be a good time for her to unwind and vent some of the emotion that had been plaguing her. He tossed her a smirk as they walked to meet their opponents, his emerald gaze landing on the pair. There was an earthen hued male he didn't recognize and one of the younger Habari members that he was pretty certain he recognized from the tournament Ashen held. He couldn't place a name off the top of his head, but with his monochromatic markings he didn't doubt that they were related in some way.

Not a moment later after he fell into a fighting position did the black and tan male charge head first at him, barreling at him full speed. Plague bared his teeth at the male as well, his hackles bristling, and at the last second before they made contact he suddenly jumped to his left to dodge the most of his opponent's slam, tilting his shoulder so that he could connect the skull built into the right shoulder his armor with the other male's right shoulder. It staggered him a bit as well, pushing into his own shoulder and causing some light bruising, but he felt like the other male would still get the worst of it. His opponent's teeth grazed the side of his neck as he reached in for a bite, mostly just catching hair and scraping the skin. Plague lifted his right paw, leaning his weight onto his other three paws to keep a firm balance, and aimed to shove his talon armed paw into the smaller male's chest to push him back.

Venom was able to stand proudly at her brother’s side as the two of them entered the tournament together. Being able to throw off the cape of leadership for a short while as they engaged in the primal act of battle. She was much in the same state as Plague, she sparred with his young children but Ashen hadn’t seen proper battle in some time. A fact she would need to reconcile. For now, she let her mind focus on the task ahead of them. She and Plague working together to show the world what Ashen was really made of.

Sunset eyes found the forms of their opponents. One looked familiar in ways she could not describe, perhaps it was the shape of his face or the look in his eye, but the second was very obviously one of their half siblings. Venom barely remembered them and their birth, none of them had returned to Ashen to meet them and Venom was too busy to welcome them into her fold. They belonged in Habari as the true Kleins they were anyway.

These thoughts passed quickly as the battle was swift to get started. Their opponents acted swiftly, Plague was quickly wrapped up in the stranger where Sorcerer leapt at her. His inexperience was obvious in his brash movements and Venom reacted appropriately. Her languid form pivoted on her heel so she could meet him head on, opening her jaws as she aimed to parry his attack.

His opponent was ready for his attack, though it didn't deter Tyto in the slightest. Though Plague dodged the brunt of his attack, Tyto continued his assault and threw all caution to the wind regardless. He slammed into Plague's armor, earning a good bruise from impact, though he didn't let up. While his teeth had failed to get a good grip, he immediately sought out another bite. As Plague raised his right foreleg to claw at Tyto's chest, the Praetor male lunged for the leg and sought to grab Plague's foreleg in his teeth in an effort to counter the attack and deal some damage. As he did this, his eagle owl swooped in for Plague's face, talons seeking to take down his head for a moment before flying out of range. Meanwhile, his lynx went for the back legs, aiming a swipe of his claws at Plague's ankles in an effort to throw the male off balance. He wasn't as experienced yet, but he compensated it with the will to learn from his mistakes. And he would use this opportunity to show his siblings who he was and what he could do. Perhaps should they want that he could go visit them and try bonding with his Ashen side of the family. Until then this was his own presentation to them, well a bit embarrassing given he wasn't a very skilled fighter but it was something. He saw how she turned to face him, to which he aimed to back away by aborting his initial intent to wrap his legs around her. He aimed to bring his rear against her head(like dogs do when they play) aiming to put it between her face and his own(). But it could mean that her jaws maybe would snatch there. Plague's paw made contact with his opponent's chest, his talons clawing through skin on impact, but before he could pull his leg away again the darker furred male reached for his leg and bit around his ankle. Plague snarled and winced at the feeling of the brute's teeth cutting into his leg and just as he was about to retaliate he saw a flash of feathers in his peripheral vision as the owl swooped down toward his face. At the same time Viridis leapt onto his back, the snow leopard using him as a platform to leap for the bird, knocking it away from his face before the bird's talons could do more than just scratch the top of his head. Procella made quick work of the lynx that had attempted to swipe at his back legs, barreling into it to intercept it, sending the two feline companions rolling across the ground in a tussle of their own. Plague went to reach for the top of the male's neck behind his ears, wanting to bite down and hopefully force him to leg go of his leg.

Venom know the potential of her bloodline, the Klein side had proven themselves to be far more loyal than those that followed closely to the Abraxas name. Another doubt that floated in her mind as she faced her half sibling. There was fire in his eyes, and potential to be reached if only he had the gumption to work towards it.

She did manage to pivot and throw him off his attack, Sorcerer abandoned the attempt to wrap his legs around her and their jaws met with a glancing blow. At least he knew how to dance. While Plague had their other opponent tied up Venom wanted to end their fight. Sorcerer went on the defensive and Venom exploited that weakness. She aimed to slam her shoulder into his rump to topple him over. Using her cat like paws Venom tried to trip him at the same time to help in her efforts.
