Tor galumphed boisterously into the ring with even less grace than most oversized, fast-growing young bodies manage. Despite their age disadvantage, he and a bunch of his siblings had signed up for the tournament which was of course what anyone would have expected of the rowdy group. Besides, at six months old the biggest of them - Tor included - were basically the height of normal-sized adult wolves, even if they did all have the unfinished look of puppies. Of course, the wolves he and Brida were paired against were fully as large as he'd be when he was an adult, so there was definitely a good size gap there. Bigger challenge though right?

The electrocytes hidden beneath Tor's blue fur practically crackled with electricity purely from excitement. He almost slammed his shoulder against Brida in a typically friendly, over excited gesture and barely stopped himself just in time to not zap her. Because... that would be bad? Probably? He instead jittered in place awkwardly for a moment until the signal to go was given, and then he leaped forward with a bellow that had a great deal of squeak still in it, aiming to sink his oversized fangs into Grimshaw's foreleg and shake it with a bubbling snarl. This guy had long fangs like Tor's family, but more of them - more teeth meant a bigger challenge right?? And Tor was all about a bigger challenge. Let Brida deal with the blue-marked guy with the normal teeth, while he got to chomp on the shark tooth guy.

She was eager for things to begin, and she followed alongside her brother with a wild grin on her face and claws unsheathed and at the ready! Her excitement was definitely the same as Tor's, though her fur didn't crackle the way his did. Casting him a mischievous glance, she nearly had to jump to the side when her brother moved to bump shoulders with her, though lucky for her, he realized that he was about to zap her and stopped himself. "Save it for them, eh!" She giggled as long, lithe legs carried her into the ring. Though they were likely younger than any of the participants here, their size would nearly match those that they'd fight, she was sure. Licking her lips as a wild look entered her eye, she readied herself for the fight to come.

Sizing up her opponents, she'd wait for Tor to pick his target before she went for hers. "We're gonna have a shocking good time!" She cackled, before launching herself forward and matching her brother's stride for stride. Though as he went for Grimshaw, she went for Malachai!

She readied her teeth and claws as she aimed to come in like a bull at the other male, a smirk on her lips as she sought to draw closer. At the last possible moment, she raised a heavy, bear-like paw and aimed to slap him across the face with it, hoping it'd stun him enough or at the very least, make it sting!

Malachai jostled Grimshaw as the fighters split off into their groups a boyish grin across his face as the pair went to their assigned fight location. He cast mismatched gaze over the pair they'd be fighting first and his smile dropped somewhat... kids? Sure maybe the biggest damn kids he'd ever seen (had he looked like that at their age?) but still they were paired off against children first? Malachai tossed a glance at Grimshaw and spoke, just loud enough to be heard by their opponents. "Guess not every fight can be a challenge." His face split into a smirk as he glanced derisively over at their opponents again. It seemed the pups were eager to rumble though and they split off. Malachai watched with narrowed eyes as the girl rushed him, he felt his lips curl back into a snarl and his ears pulled back. As she drew closes Malachai was keenly aware of just how big the girl actually was though he was still taller than her, he saw her shift her weight and instinct made him pull back, her frankly massive paw missing the bulk of his head but her claws scraped the underside of his jaw. That was gonna sting. If she'd only been a few seasons older he likely would have struggled to evade her attack but as it was she was just short enough still that he had the height advantage over her. As Malachai pulled himself back he lashed out with his own right forepaw, the sharpened sugar of his claw covers whistled as he tried to drag them along her chest though admittedly he wasn't exactly looking at her as he was preoccupied with getting out of the way of her swipe, so his aim was probably terrible. Malachai would swing his head back down, lower than it had been before her swipe and would attempt to swing it at her own head quickly after he swiped out his forepaw hoping to smack his skull into her own. Malachai's excitement for the start of their spar made him smile and laugh as his friend jostled him around, shoving him playfully in return as they moved towards their location. Upon noticing pups his laugh faded into a straight face, wondering why they had been paired with such large children. He supposed he couldn't complain though, because as Malachai had said, not every fight had to be a challenge. Perhaps it was because these pups were so large that they were paired with them, plus the natural armory between the two of them. Grimshaw debated shrugging his armor off and giving it to Malachai, but once he saw the blue boy with sharp teeth and a strange look to his fur, he rethought that idea.

As the large pup dipped to reach for his forelimb, Grimshaw refused to move and instead braced himself. With his bracers protecting the lowest part of his forelimb, Grimshaw stood strong and waited until what he hoped was the right second to snap downwards and try to catch the pups muzzle between his sharpened and extra teeth.

Getting a grip on the leather that decorated the opponent's foreleg, Tor bit down as hard as he could with jaws that some day would be able to break an adult moose's leg,. As he did he was hunching his shoulders to put them between the double-rowed fangs and his own face, gladly accepting the slashes over his shoulders in the hopes that the unpleasant zap of electricity would hit his attacker. Bracing himself, he reached up with a forepaw with feline claws bared to aim a vicious swat for Grimshaw's ribs, hoping to slice them. He couldn't spare much attention for his sister as she tangled with the other wolf except to hope that she would hold up her side of things. He, of course, was fully confident in him holding up his side of things, even though realistically he shouldn't have been.

Her paw swipe had mostly missed, but at least her claws had managed to clip her opponent's jaw even if just a little. She was still a little shorter than her opponent, but when she was older, no doubt she would be massive and bulky. She spared no attention to her brother as soon as the fight started, though she was confident he would be able to hold his own. Even if they didn't win, the experience was all they'd need to do better the next time.

As Malachai pulled back, his own paw came flying out at her. Out of reaction, she turned her shoulder towards the blow, earning a stinging glance off the harder part of her shoulder and she growled from the sting of the attack. Luckily for her though, her previous attack had thrown her opponent off a bit and his eyes weren't wholly on her. As his head came swinging at her, she retaliated by opening her jaws and lunged forward, aiming to slam her shoulder into his body while her teeth searched for the side of his neck!
