We Don't Need No Water

Onyx was growing her strength back as the season passed and she was starting to get back into routine. Only now she was learning to live on her own. She still had the support and love of her family, they were only a few strides away from her if she ever needed but she was quite stubborn on wanting to learn and survive on her own. She was well capable at least.
She found herself wandering more as time went on though she never had a real destination or goal in mind. Now that she was older and had pretty much all the freedom she could ask for she tried to take advantage of it. She chose to stay close her family long term, it was the way she was raised to feel so close to them especially while she wasn't exactly easy to make friends. She was trying to do better though, she had regretted feeling like Cina had left just partly because of her though he had very more clear reasons of finding his own way. Kuroki didn't seem so bothered by her though, she still struggled to believe she was doing well on that front.
During the day, the lake didn't hold up to it's name. Just looked like any regular meadowed lake. She wasn't impressed but she also wasn't looking for anything particular. She walked along the bank of the water, only stopping to look sideways at her reflection at the antlers that were growing well in size on her head.
