Tyrian was up to no good. Sparrow had informed him of her willingness to raid and well, it was now open season. At some point it might be to his advantage to sneak into Pirate territory. Why exactly he hadn't decided yet. Maybe someday they'd have goods worth stealing or maybe he'd make a fireside contest out of shaving sleeping pirates. Who knew!

Regardless of what he used it for, Tyrian had a good feeling about this cave. He'd entered the cave system in the Gulley not knowing where it would go. To his delight the main tunnel seemed to lead in the right direction. Naturally he'd climbed on in and taken off at a good clip down the tunnel. His success quickly petered out, however, as the tunnels became more narrow and winding, and he kept reaching dead ends. At some point - long ago, he hoped- the tunnels had been unstable. Old cave ins were the most common problem that forced him to double back.

By chance one such cave in wasn't ruled out immediately thanks to a tiny beam of light shining through. It illuminated a small passage through the rubble that looked just big enough for a Tyrian-sized wolf to pass through so naturally he stuck his head in. The other side was a much bigger room lit by a small crack in the ceiling above. It showed promise so Tyrian hauled himself in. About halfway through he realized it was too narrow and tried to crawl backwards -and promptly found he couldn't. Well, hell.

Life had gotten busier these days. What with his recent recruiting and general camaraderie with the other pirates. It was a new sort of lifestyle that he wasn't quite used to yet. Some days, he needed to spend alone with his own thoughts to recharge. Today was one such day as he lounged around the pirate ship. Tucked back in the deepest parts of Time's Cavern, Gilgamesh found solace. The quiet lull of water dripping from the ceiling put him in a near snooze when a sound of crumbling rocks caught his attention. Lifting his head with ears perked toward the sound, he waited. If it happened to be a rat, there was no need for him to be alerted.

After a few minutes, he realized the sound was much larger than a rat. Tilting his pink nose into the air, he could smell a faint scent of wolf. An unfamiliar wolf to boot. Curious and on alert, the now long-legged brute stretched up onto all four paws. Giving his mottled fur a shake, he hopped up onto the ledge of the rotting wood ship to peer around. At first glance, in the dim light, he didn't notice much. There was no obvious rustling coming from anywhere that he could tell.

Deciding to lazily make his way down off the ship, he found solid ground with a splash beneath his paws. Off to the side, a bit of light filtered through from a tunnel opening. From what his ears could make out, the struggle seemed to be coming from that direction. Curious, Gil made his way toward the tunnel that was almost too small for him to fit. Thankful for his lean frame, he was able to slink in with some ease and make his way toward the ever-strengthening scent. Definitely a pack wolf from what he could tell of the myriad of scents floating off of him, but there was also a tinge of Sparrow as well.

More curious now as his yellowed eyes made out the dark-grey form of a wolf who appeared stuck, Gil stopped a few feet away with his head lowered so it wouldn't hit the ceiling. "Bit of a predicament you've got yourself in," he mused with a mischievous smile. "I could help you, but you'll have to tell me what you're doing here first," Gil rumbled as he took a seat on the chilly stone floor of the tunnel.

Tyrian could only imagine what he looked like from behind as he braced his feet on the stone and tried to haul himself backwards. He grit his teeth and pushed with an effortful groan which cut off immediately when he realized the noises escaping his lips were like that of a woman in labor. Normally he would laugh at that sort of silliness but in this instance things were a bit too real so he just slumped forward with an irritated huff.

There was a joke somewhere to be made about big things getting stuck but now didn't seem like a good time to be making them, especially with no audience. The lack of witnesses was both a blessing and a curse. On the one hand there was no one around to heckle him for his choices. On the other, there was no one around to help him if he truly needed it.

Or was there? The moment Tyrian heard the man's pawsteps he made up his mind that no, he didn't want any witnesses. Alas, here one came anyway. "Ah fuck," he muttered to himself just as a shape broke through the darkness. The man seated himself a short distance away before speaking. By scent Tyrian could tell he was a pirate, but he couldn't say he'd seen him before. A new recruit, maybe. Good for Sparrow.

"A bit, yeah." Tyrian, being the cheeky sort, shrugged his free shoulder and gave a nonchalant wave of his free paw before continuing in a purely conversational tone, "Oh, you know, just minding my own business." He glanced down at the wall and then back up at Gilgamesh with a smirk. "You can pull or you can push." One would make Tyrian his problem. The other would get him out of his hair. Tyrian was up for either, but that was getting a bit ahead of the situation. First they were going to have to find out if his answer was good enough for the pirate or if he was going to take offense.

Old Gilgamesh would've left Tyrian for dead. Right there, trapped between those rocks, to struggle and die. New Gilgamesh knew better than to just leave someone stranged like that. While he wasn't out looking for friends, the other male's nonchalant and cheeky attitude did get Gil to chuckle quietly. Silently to himself, he wondered if he did save the poor fellow if he could convince him to stay with the pirates. But something about the way he smelled said he belonged to or even was head of another pack. Through the nonchalant attitude, there was something there that Gil couldn't quite pin. It was kind of like when he was around Sparrow, she sort of just exhumed a different scent that told everyone she was in charge.

Peering at him curiously, he figured if the man was indeed trespassing and meant some kind of harm to the pack, it would be a better idea to get him unstuck and take him to Sparrow. Or he could get him unstuck and make a new friend and they could go drink on the boat. Wouldn't hurt to learn a few pack secrets along the way, right? Or the other option was to send the brute packing and that was the end of it. Considering his options, Gil decided on pulling Tyrian forward would be the best way to go. Who knew how sturdy the rocks would be on the other side anyway. Don't call him a knight in shining armor or anything though.

Standing up from his position, he glanced over to Tyrian with a smirk. "Alright, you're saved this time, mate," he said as he approached Tyrian. "No funny business though," Gil warned with a quick side-eyed look that got the point across. "Apologies first because this might hurt," he mentioned as he reached out and grabbed ahold of Tyrian's scruff. Careful not to pierce the man's skin, he moved into a better position before beginning to pull.

Tyrian didn't have to wait long for the man to make up his mind. If he took offense to Tyrian's cheek he hid it well. The unnamed pirate's warning words earned him a feigned look of innocence and to round out his commitment to behaving Tyrian leaned back and used his free paw to scratch an 'X' across his chest. "Cross my heart and all that."

He couldn't help but chuckle as the man apologized. He was literally about to save his ass by dragging him (a stranger) out of a wall, and he was apologizing for any discomfort he caused in the process. To be honest it was kind of cute. Maybe Tyrian needed to get stuck in walls more often.

As Gilgamesh began to pull Tyrian exhaled as thoroughly as he could to help - was it helping? it felt like helping - all the while pushing forward with his back legs. Together he and the pirate managed to free Tyrian's other front leg. "Oh for fuck's sake," he wheezed on emptied lungs as all progress ground to a halt around his ribs.

Gil pulled and tugged as hard as he could without ripping Tyrian's fur and skin right from his body. Slowly, he could tell that at least one of the other man's legs was becoming dislodged. Shifting rocks and crumbling stone scattered around the floor as Gil leaned back. His paws scrabbled against the floor as he tried to gain purchase. Even with one of Tyrian's legs dislodged, this was still a lot more work than he had thought it would be. When Tyrian wheezed, Gil let go and took a step back.

Panting loudly, he looked at the scene before him. So, the man was mostly dislodged but now stuck around the ribcage. "You might need to drop a few pounds," he muttered with a shake of his head and a small laugh. Glancing over at Tyrian who didn't appear particularly pleased with the situation, Gil knew it would going to take more than just yanking on Tyrian's body to release him from this trap. Wrinkling his nose in thought, an idea came to mind.

"Don't move," Gil winked, knowing Tyrian quite literally couldn't before turning and quickly heading back down the path to the main cavern. Skidding to a halt before the large ship that had sunken into the softening bed of the cavern floor, Gil looked around for a piece of wood. After a few minutes of scrounging, he was able to find a large enough piece that might fit between Tyrian and the wall. Grabbing ahold of it, he took it back to where the Alpha was stuck. "How about this?" He asked as he dropped the wood to the ground. "You think I can shove it between you and the wall to pry ya out?" The man asked, quietly wondering to himself why he was trying to help so much.

A few pounds? Perish the thought. Tyrian made a noise in the back of his throat and then slapped his exposed middle. "And lose these love handles? I think not." He was going to joke through his pain because, well, what else could he do? In truth that was how he handled most situations beyond his control, but shhhh that was a secret.

The pirate told him not to move and Tyrian made that same noise again, but this time said nothing. Instead he leaned back on one of his arms and began to drum the ground with the claws of his other. It was all for show. His would-be savior would be back any second and he wanted to make him laugh again. It was best to keep the only person who knew where he was in a good mood.

Gilgamesh came back and dropped a large piece of wood at his paws. Tyrian looked from the pirate to it and back again. "Well..." he began slowly, trying to decide just how he felt about getting pried out of the cave like a booger. "'Beggars can't be choosers' and all that." Tyrian motioned towards the wall and sighed in resignation, "G'head, get in there, pirate."
