Saia was actually not being the best child today, finding herself on the islands off of the royal palace chambers. She was getting just a little older and more capable, so maybe that was okay but she had never asked permission. She spent most of her days inside their rooms with her mother so on days when she came outside she was quite adventurous.

She was trailing along the beaches looking for sea shells to collect for crafting pretty things. That was, until she heard splashing from the waters beside her. When she looked up, there was a sea lion charging at her, and she had zero idea what to do. She didn't even know what it was. She only assumed it was angry or sick since it had seemingly come charging at her out of no where. She prepared herself to evade it, clearly it was attacking her, right?

"Saia Klein-Destruction"

Shuriken was doing a patrol on the beach, still trying to fit into the role her mother gave to her. She still didn’t know why she was chosen out of all her siblings, especially when she was by far the most clumsy and least accomplished. She tried not to dwell on those thoughts as best she could, but they continued to sneak back no matter what she did.

The princess was in exactly the right place at the right time as her dual toned gaze caught sight of her tiny cousin looking for shells. She was going to smile and move on when she realized Saia was being attacked. Ike raced forward to put herself in between the puppy and the massive ocean predator. She prayed her paws wouldn’t betray her in such a crucial moment.

"Kiyohime Shuriken Ōritsu Abraxas"

Saia knew better than to brace for impact here. This wasn't a spar, facing off a sea lion or any predator was completely different than what to expect from a wolf. She at least knew that, but didn't know what to do against this sea creature.

She leaped out of the way as it bounded towards her, and before she could think of what to do next, maybe even call for help, her cousin was here to fend off the predator from her. The sea lion was maybe thinking it was out numbered, but before fleeing it decided to test it's luck and start bounding towards Ike. Saia bolted forward, and went skull first into the flubbery creature's side causing it to go off balance before it reached Ike. Saia glance over to her cousin before putting her tiny stance as tall as it could be towards their intruder.

"Saia Klein-Destruction"

Ike raced faster than she had ever run, the girl never let herself go full on because it always meant disaster. She hadn’t ever fought one of the huge sea wolves but they were frequently seen in Ashen waters. Sometimes they made fishing difficult so it was no rarity to see them being chased off. Now that her father was gone they were far more bold. The princess couldn’t let any of the pups get hurt, and she’d have to make a note to stand up where her father once stood.

She managed to get the beast’s attention as Saia darted out of the way. The sea lion raced towards her then in its lumbering gait and Kiyohime lashed out with her eagle like talons as Saia head butted. They could beat this bull back while they were only land, they were much faster at least. It was thrown off course and Ike struck at it, making it think twice about it next move.

"Kiyohime Shuriken Ōritsu Abraxas"

Saia almost felt she was less fit than her cousin because of the different mutations that Ike had and she didn't. She didn't let that falter her though, she would do all she could to help get the sea lion back off Ashen territories.

Ike slashed it with her talons and it was starting to second guess it's choices. Ike was much larger than Saia and always would be, but still Saia jumped forward and behind the flubbery creature to grab hold of it's tail end. She knew she couldn't do too much to it, but she was still able to turn it off balance a little. It started to flee, making it's way back towards the ocean. They certainly made their mark on it.

"Saia Klein-Destruction"

If she bought into the beliefs of her kin, Shuriken would believe herself born from gods, she was of the royal line. She was given a divine right to rule and that fact manifested in the blessings over her body. Ike was a dragon in wolf flesh, or maybe she would have been if she wasn’t more like a baby giraffe. The adrenaline or maybe it was her sharp focus in a life and death situation, kept the princess from her usual clumsy tripping as she fought back the sea beast with her tiny cousin.

With a few well places swipes and shoves the sea lion was willing to admit defeat against the wolves. It had made a wrong decision going up against them from the beginning. Ike knew she’d want to be extra careful next time she was in the water. With another shove and mock charge the girls defeated their opponent, or at least they took their beach back.
