It had been a long time since he had socialized with anyone, having spent much of his younger years hiding away and avoiding wolves at all cost. He’d hid away from the friends he had made and when wolves came to visit the place he had been calling home, he would hide away in the darkness of the falls or caves nestled between the cliffs. It was a lonely existence, but it had kept others safe from him. Today, the sun was shining brightly and the multi-toned loner could be found outside, below the falls where herbs and plants grew in abundance. He would pause long enough to drink from the cool water before turning to the valerian flowers that grew along the bank and further out, watered by the mist from the falls. Carefully, he would paw at the soil along the base of the flowers, trying not to damage it more than necessary so that he could get to the roots. "open to anyone" |

"...Those are used in love spells. Do you love somebody?" the yearling spoke carelessly, approaching the stranger at a slow but comfortable pace. The fae had stopped here temporarily to give her new platypus companion some time to soak his little webbed feeties and get himself something to eat. She hadn't really anticipated anyone else to be in the area, let alone conversing with such a person, but 'love spells' were a dangerous business that usually stemmed from a dark place. If that was what the male was up to then Fir felt obligated to inform him of all the ways such a thing could go wrong and blow up in his face. "It's okay, you can tell me." She cocked her head and waited patiently for his answer. Chances are they were medicinal, but the yearling was always so immersed in the metaphysical that she often overlooked answers that could be considered much more common. |

The voice was unexpected, causing Sandor to turn his head sharply, his body following the motion, so that he was facing the stranger. She was young, a year or so old, with a small set of antlers that were covered in algae. Even more peculiar was the color of her fur, it reminded him of a succulent plant with its light green tint and rosy browns mixed in. Overall, her build and size was much like his own. Ears flicked forward and back, unsure what he should say to the girl or if he should say anything at all…it had been a long time since he had spoken to anyone but himself. Had he ever loved anyone? He had been fond of someone when he was a pup but he would hardly call that love. When she spoke again, it was clear that she was not going to just leave and he would sigh quietly. " “No…It’s for sleep.” His voice was scratchy from lack of use. " “Love spells, eh?” He asked, disbelieving. He never would have thought about the root in such a way, but he supposed it could be possible. " speech " |

"Ah." is all Fir responded with at first. That's right, most wolves didn't do things like love spells, so it had to be medicinal after all. The yearling wondered if she'd ever stop jumping to the first conclusion and instead think of things from a rational point of view. "Kane -- er, yes. Love, protection, purification, things like that." the fae wondered if that was enough information or if the stranger wanted a better explanation. She hadn't noticed the doubt in his tone whatsoever. "Hm.. Do you uh, need help? Oh! I like your eye things." the fae was talking about the markings underneath of the male's eyes, though being specific, much like rational thinking, was far from being her forte. Asking the stranger if he needed help was a big step for Fir, who didn't much like talking with strangers let alone helping them with things that didn't really interest her much, but the young girl really was trying to integrate herself into the world a little more. She was a little proud of herself for even thinking to ask. |
*Fennish translation Kane = Yes.
