From the moment his children had been born, Kane had taken to fatherhood like a duck to water. He watched his little bundles of fluffy, furry joy grow until they were teetering around the den, and then felt his heart swell with pride when they'd taken their first steps out onto the beach, crossing the threshold into the wide world they'd get to explore for the rest of their lives. The giant man was so proud of his pups and loved them with all his heart and soul. Not long after they'd begun to venture out of the den, he and Tam decided to begin their nomadic lifestyle, letting the pups get acclimated to it early. While they were still so young, they opted to remain around Auster, letting their children grow and explore with the freedom he had been raised in while also remaining close enough to the Hallows should they need anything from their castle-bound family. It was the best of both world for them, giving them freedom and independence while also affording them a safety net until the little ones were a bit less little.

The rains of Auster's winter had passed as spring began in the southern continent. Bright, sunny days draped in a mild warmth with a gentle breeze made the land an idyllic playground for the pups to roam and explore. Today, Kane and Tamsyn had brought their children to the God's Garden to see the plants and flowers all in bloom. Early spring shoots poked out from fertile topsoil, and budding bushes and flowers turned their delicate petals towards a clear blue sky. A plethora of grassy and floral aromas hung in the air. It was a healer's paradise, and an excellent place for the pups to learn about the wonders of nature and the medicinal uses of plants if they wished to know more. Otherwise, it would just be a fun place for them to explore—and maybe for his girls to make some flower crowns while they enjoyed the sunshine.

Sierra bounced along at her fathers feet. Taking five steps for every one that the towering parent took. When she got tired of huffing and puffing along beside him, she leaped onto his forepaw and dug her little claws in, going along for a ride. Just about her entire body cradled on the flat of his paw. Forcing him to walk very carefully of course, but she was far too young to worry about such things.

It wasn’t long before he was shooing her off his paw, and encouraging her to scamper about the garden. She giggled and ducked through the long weeds and examined the pretty flowers growing in abundance. She stopped and sniffed at one, before ducking her head under it and ripping off the stem with a vicious growl. Trotting back to dad with the flower leaning over her shoulder “What’s this one, Daddy?”
