I'm Tired of Looking for Answers

Birna was in a bit of a predicament. She'd successfully slain a fawn and had been settling down to enjoy her meal when a large brown bear emerged from the woods and attacked. She'd grabbed her kill and hauled it up into the trees but the bear was not detered. It stood on its hind legs, stretching up the tree for a moment before it gave a hop and started scooting up the trunk. Birna hissed, Her right paw lanced down swiping at the bear's face. The bear leaned back and growled, trying to swipe back up at her. Of all the rotten luck. She couldn't enjoy her food with this bothersome creature here.

Speech

Hot, sticky, and rather disgruntled by the warm weather, the thick-coated maiden made her way through the forest. Taking her time not to expend too much energy, her piercing blue eyes surveyed the surrounding features. Tall trees with dark-colored bark and the scarcity of brush made it harder to keep to the shadows. Managing to follow a well-beaten game trail, her attention turned toward the sounds of vicious grunting and growling. Freezing in place, Tenshi glanced around until she saw the bear hobbling up a trunk after a cat and its kill. Concern mounted in her as she rushed over to assess the situation. From what she could see, the cat was indeed in trouble. Unable to leave the feline helpless, Tenshi moved without thought toward the bear. Coming up from behind, she used her size and power to propel her the short distance from the ground toward the bear's rump. Giving it a quick snap at its haunches, she peeled away as the bear came down and turned on her with lips flipped up and spittle flying everywhere. Unusually angry for a bear during this time, she wondered if it was hungry. Despite her mounting concern, she would have to fight the bear off now. Keeping her distance as she lunged in and out to take swipes at the bear, she would wait for it to tire.

Birna hissed once more at the bear, a low growl rumbling up from her throat but it didn't seem to dissuade the larger predator. At that moment a large, horned wolf appeared and snapped at the haunches of the bear. Unwilling to deal with an assault from too directions the bear slid down to the ground with a thud and turned to go after the bear. Birna hesitated for a moment but could not deny the wolf's help was well-timed and she would be willing to share part of her meal for the help. Birna leapt down and with the bear distracted for now by the wolf she bounded forward, her claws lancing out and striking the bear's rear. It turned promptly and then dove for her. She leapt swiftly out of the way, using her tail to help her balance as she twisted back and forth to stay out of reach of the bear's jaws.

Speech

Thankfully, the bear took her attack and turned on her. Swiping at her a few times while she danced out of the way, her eyes flickered toward the feline. Watching the lithe movements of the cat as she leaped from the tree toward the bear, a growl emanated from her throat. Oh, thankful she was, but she didn't want anyone getting injured in this situation. As the furious bear turned back on the cat, Tenshi took her opportunity. Lunging forward with a quickness that was surprising for her size, she went for the bear's ankles. Biting quickly at the tendons on the back of the bear's legs, she dashed out of the way as the bear turned back on her. Now slightly injured, it's lumbering movements slowed. Confused on which predator to go for, the bear attempted to swipe at her and then back at the cat. When the bear was turned, Tenshi would dive back in to bite more at the bear's tender spots.
