Hikaru followed their great leader towards Habari, he wasn’t very familiar with the volcano based pack, and he was interested to see what they looked like in battle. This was a practice raid after all, he would take every opportunity to observe and learn. Silvery eyes glanced towards Sirius as he offered up a quick word and led them into battle. Hikaru held back slightly, letting his gaze swing over the whole of their battlefield as the Armada and Habari collided there in the volcano’s shadow.

Maybe half of their ranks had already surged forward and taken up battle but Hika remained unpaired, eyes focused and his senses sharp as he readied himself for his opponent to come out from anywhere.

"Speech"

Carnage did not have to wait long before someone had chosen to take her down. Her eyes focused upon the brute ahead and it was clear they had both accepted the challenge. She quickly tried to weigh him out though there was little time as he ate away at the distance between them. Her defenses remained in tact and she too would launch forward to close the distance between them. A sword swung towards her and she tried to come out unscathed, trying to step more to her right side. With little time the weapon would slice into her left bicep, her skin tearing and drawing blood though it was not deep. In an attempt to over power her opponent her jaws would open, aiming to clasp her teeth upon his jugular to prevent him from moving and taking further action. As this was friendly, should she be successful she simply wanted to put enough pressure to tear the skin, not to prevent serious injury. Up close everything was harder to see. At least from a distance he could generally make out another wolf's features, but up close everything was even more difficult. He'd have to reply on his instincts more than anything in close quarters like this, though he supposed that was how it usually was to begin with. He felt the female react swiftly as he charged her, not instantly submitting beneath his attempt to overpower her. Instead she shifted at her lower height and aimed a bite to the side of his face, one he couldn't avoid even if he tried. She wiggled free beneath him and struck, and he allowed his paws to fall back to the ground as he tried to shy away from the bite unsuccessfully.

He wouldn't back down completely though, he may as well be admitting defeat right then and there, and Veigar was nothing if not headstrong. A low growl bubbled up in his chest as he reacted, pushing into the bite rather than trying to free himself from it. He used one of his forepaws to reach up and swipe at her face, hoping to deter her slightly. Her bite left him in a position where he couldn't really return a bite of his own quite yet, but instead he lunged forward harder into her bite, using his full weight to hopefully slam into her and knock her back, no matter what he might do to his face in the process.

A friendly raid was nothing like the real thing, but he would be lying if he'd said that he wasn't excited. Something was better than nothing and even if all they got was a hunt around their volcano (what would that even bring them?), at least bragging rights were in his favor. He wasn't sure who would be amazed with the winning pack of a friendly raid, but maybe Malachai would be. He could only hope at least.

As fights broke out around him, Grimshaw took his time in selecting an opponent. Once a blue figure caught his attention, he decided and moved towards the man gaining speed as he approached. He had hoped that with the action around him, he wouldn't be immediately noticed and would have time to approach. Whether he was noticed or not, Grimshaw skidded to a stop and turned his body slightly enough to skid dirt up towards the man. It wasn't as good as the sand back in the armada training grounds, but perhaps it would burn his eyes all the same if it made it.

"Speech!"
Excited that she got to join in on some actual fun for once. She was growing as much as she hated to admit it, but with her training toning her body and teaching her some things, she was at least a bit less standoffish and worried about her size than usual. Plus, having a neat cloak did wonders for feeling invisible. She was late to the party though, others having missed out on the fun for much longer than her. With the friendly raid being left a surprise to the Habari wolves, Widow was in the middle of gathering herbs when the call rang out. Abandoning her stash, she sped off towards the gathering of armada wolves battling her family and pack members.

With her staff grasped between her jaws and her companions trailing along somewhere behind her, Widow stopped suddenly on the edge of the gathering and glanced around quickly as she caught her breath, taking in the sight of her first real raid.

Recluse had to push down a chuckle, just shaking her head instead when Azure shot back that he wasn't much for foreplay. A shame, she'd have to train that out of him. Recluse managed to sneak in close to the male though he reared up so while her fangs grazed along his throat but she wasn't able to retain a hold on him, instead she lifted slightly before her teeth grazed off his flesh and she landed heavily back down on all fours. His paws crashed down onto her back and the woman growled in pain. Lilith moved quickly from her usual space around the pale woman's throat and sliding down around her right forelimb until she spotted an opening, Azure's fangs gripping Recluse's scruff. The viper reared up, unfolding her fangs from the roof of her mouth and lunging forward to try and sink them into Azure's muzzle in an attempt to get him to release her lupine friend. At the same time, with her movements significantly reduced Recluse lashed out with her forepaws, aiming to scratch at his stomach with her sharpened claw covers. With him bearing down over top of him she was honestly just trying to reach whatever part of him was closest but if she was lucky maybe she'd get to regret leaving his soft underbelly so exposed. The man seemed perturbed by the presence of her companions, something that pleased her. She supposed it was an odd thing, considering most wolves preferred to keep cute, furry companions rather than the scaled ones she had. But they were plenty cute to her, and they came with their own unique advantages and loyalties. Her teeth snapped closed on empty air as she realized too late that the man had tucked his tail between his legs, seemingly for protection as his expression hinted at anything but fear. It was a good move and she gave him a point for it.

Her bi-colored gaze watched as he leaned harshly toward her, throwing his bulky hip into her lithe frame. It connected, causing her to stumble to the side a bit, but as he kicked out toward Abigor, she took that chance to strike her head forward, catching the leg in air between the ankle and foot. She pulled it in, toward the man’s other hind leg, in an attempt to cause him to fall.

Talking

A growl bubbled up from the boy's chest, and he pressed into the bite instead of away from it. Immediately, Halo let go. Her ears pinned to her skull (as best she could, the left remaining errant as pretty much always), eyes flashing wide. Oh no she'd hurt him. "Sorry, sorry," she apologized, her head tilting to the side. Trying to stay free of his teeth, but also feling the anxiety in her system starting to flare again. Had Halo really hurt the boy?

Right, the fight. A swift smack of his paw against the broad side of her delicate face brings Halo back down to earth, pulls her from the anxious thoughts that crash about in her head. He moves forward to crash against her once more, but Halo is already in motion again, already shifting backwards to gather power in her haunches. She'd feed off of the momentum generated by the boy's push against her, trying her best to catch herself. The tenderhearted healer wasn't used to using her body like this, but the exercise felt good. Momentum. Momentum would be good. From her gathered posture, Halo sprang forward, teeth glimmering and gnashing in the sunlight. She'd attempt to tag the boy with her teeth wherever possible (the front of the shoulder, the front of the knee, it's hard for her to reach much higher while remaining aerodynamic enough to keep running) as she moved towards him, and then hopefully back out of the fight once more. In her mind, she could hear the Warlord explaining harrying again and again, and Halo would do her best to focus on that tactic.

Eraithus slitted eyes were ready. Even if he could hear Kespie warning him from above. The male whirled, turning to see dust flying at him. For a split moment his closed his eyes hoping the antlers around his chest would protect him for the brief moment that he could be vulnerable. Excitement fluttered through him. "Eraithus" he introduced as he jumped to face the larger wolf.

His ears sat flat, tail moving with his paws feeling down the earth. Eraithus lunged for Grimshaws right side jaws open he attempted to latch onto Grimshaws cheek. Keeping himself steady he also knew the weapon at his chest could cause an issue. He made Kespie stand by, if he got to taste blood. Oh the blissful thought made him shudder.

Whoever the fae was, she stood stock still and waited for him to come to her. A smart move, being on the defensive was certainly a lot less taxing than offensive. Though his sword had managed to nick the flesh of her left bicep, a thin rivulet of crimson was all that slowly seeped into her pallid coat. Within moments of discarding the blade, she lunged for him. With the advantage of greater height and weight, it was far easier for her to lunge forth and take aim at his vulnerable throat. It was wide open from the motion of swinging his head to one side to discard his weapon, and she found herself landing a successful grip of his slender neck between her powerful ivory jaws. The pressure was more akin to a lovers hold than that of someone wanting to tear his skull free of his shoulders. Hot blood seeped into the thin fur around his throat, trickling down his neck and chest in thin streaks of wetness amidst his sleek pelt. At a rather plain disadvantage, the waif growled low in his chest in displeasure. Dainty left forepaw lifted, aiming to slam down on the nearest of the dame's own paws with as much force as he could muster from the awkward angle. The macaque that had strayed a few paces closer took advantage of the two wolves' entanglement to lash out with wickedly sharp claws, seeking to hook his deft figners around the ankle of the pale fae and disrupt her balance before he darted off a safe distance away to shriek with primal glee. Recluse's fangs slid past the vulnerable underside his throat, but came away without the hold she'd been seeking. His paws came down upon her and his jaws upon her scruff, but the snake's movements happened below his view. Azure flexed his paws and threw more weight down, encouraging the curved claws to dig deeper into her albino pelt and expecting a quick victory now that she was beneath his weight.

His companions alarmed too late, the viper's fangs already piercing into Azure's muzzle before he'd taken notice. The brave fisher darted in from his master's rear legs, sprinting beneath the wolves and aiming a bite upon Recluse's back paw. Azure released his opponent at the snake's attack, turning his head then and thrashing it hard down toward Recluse's own - hoping to bash the snake's head in between his own and it's masters. Recluse's forepaws caught heavily upon his tender underbelly, Az's tail immediately tucking to defend his precious jewels. "Careful, Recluse, you're a married wolf." He taunted.

Carnage remained focused on her target, completely ignoring the wolves that were also in battle. She had been successful into sinking her teeth ever so slightly into his neck and before she could strike again she would feel a sudden strike against her forepaws. It would slam down against her right forepaw and almost immediately her jaws would release him, the pain in her paw competely throwing her off guard. With the heat of the moment, she would gather herself quickly and try to launch her next attack, she would aim to shove her left shoulder into his chest in an effort to bruise and knock the brute off balance, it didn't take long before she felt something pull against her back ankle, she would stumble as she redistrubted her weight. With instinct, Her Ocelot would launch forward to try and even the score, Her companion would aim to close the distance and try and take the opponent down from behind, her companion would aim to try and get a firm grip of his tail to yank, not to tear off, but to cause enough disruption and pain to get him to submit to Carnage. Before Ruga felt his foot connect with its intended target, he instead felt teeth grab onto his leg and stop it mid swing. His eyes widened with surprise and the momentum of his kick and her tugging on his leg made his balance go all kinds of wobbly. He threw out his other legs to catch himself to keep himself from falling over, but it wasn't without a good bit of effort. It did put him into kind of a bad position to be able to do much of anything. In the end he attempted to reach for one of her back legs in return, wanting to grab the limb between his teeth right above the ankle. He wanted to pull the leg out from under her as well while he threw his weight to the side, letting himself fall onto his side so that he'd have enough weight behind the movement to yank her off of her feet and toss her to the ground as well. It certainly wasn't an elegant attack, but maybe it would at least be effective.

"Ruga Amanto"

The dirt that Grimshaw launched at the other man hadn't blinded them but didn't not work either. The man that then introduced himself as Eraithus faced him and quickly lunged for his right side in an attempt to grab at his cheek that he swerved to dodge the brunt of. He felt the sting of fangs against his flesh and his heart rate quickened at the rush of minute pain, though he wondered if the attack to the face was considered friendly. He didn't let himself think about it for too long however before he quickly recovered from dodging the attack and went in a bit lower with his jaws and reached for the mans right elbow, though just to distract the man and not to seek purchase. With his armor protecting his nape, he needn't worry about fangs piercing his tender flesh. His body rotated, curving towards the blue man as his right rear leg sought to topple the man via kicking at his left foreleg in hopes that he would be too busy dodging the fangs coming for the right elbow to notice.
