It's been a long time coming, but the day has finally arrived! Artorias Carpathius and Briar Fatalis are getting married! Though the actual ceremony is a private event, the reception is open to all who wish to come celebrate with the happy couple! There will be plenty of food and drink for pups and adults alike, as well as a chance to mingle and network with creatures from all walks of life across Boreas and Auster. This means that anyone, regardless of pack, relation, or creed, came come partake in celebrating the love between the Aegis and Queen. From May 15 to May 21, the Hallows lands will be open for anyone to create and participate in wedding celebration threads, regardless of affiliation. So come have fun and enjoy the party!


Rules for Posting
1. To participate in the reception and wedding events, please first post in the starting reception thread (to be posted later) announcing your arrival. This is to help us keep track of who is at the event. Anyone not having greeted Artorias or Briar will be considered trespassers and found by security.
2. While the Hallows will be open to anyone to post and join in wedding-related threads, please be respectful of thread tags all the same and be sure to tag any Private or Mature threads respectively.
3. All entering the Hallows are expected to adhere to its laws of non-violence. Hallows laws and rules can be found on the pack page. The only exception to the rule is for those participating in the fighting tourney, and ONLY during the matches. All other acts of violence will be swiftly dealt with.
4. As guests, only the first level of the castle is available to be played in. All upper and lower levels are off limits. Reference the castle map on the pack page for more details. Anyone caught snooping about will be escorted out by security.


But wait, there's more! As part of the celebration, Artorias will be hosting a small fighting tourney for warriors to showcase their abilities and provide entertainment to the party. This is a 1v1 style randomized bracketed tournament, with a prize of gemstones for the winner and runner-up. Sign-ups will be open from May 1 to May 14. On May 14, all entrants' skills will be recorded and locked in for the duration of the tournament (pending skill claims will count towards your overall skills).

Rules for the Tourney
1. This is a skill-based tournament, meaning only a character's skills and biological traits can be used. Weapons, armor, companions, specialties, or other items are forbidden.
2. Each fight will have a 2-day default time to keep things moving. These will be strictly enforced.
3. Each fight should be two rounds of actual combat.
4. Dominance fights only. If you want to get into maims, take it outside.
5. Alphas are prohibited from entering this tourney. This is a chance for others to show off their prowess in the spotlight, and we all know that if you can lead a pack, you can fight pretty damn well.

The Hallows Wedding Tournament has now officially begun!

The standings and brackets for the tournament can be found at the bottom of this post. All entrants have been randomly rolled and assigned their opponents. Entrants who are listed at the TOP of their brackets are responsible for starting the threads for the tournament (see below). The character responsible for starting the threads has two days from when the round is announced to create their thread or it will be considered a default.


Combatant A is responsible for starting the thread.

A few quick friendly reminders to all entrants before beginning:

- Before starting your first match, your character must have posted to either the wedding ceremony or wedding reception threads.
- No equipment, companions, items, or specialties may be used in the fights. Only skills, mutations, and natural buffs from build/size are permitted.
- Each fight should be kept to 2 rounds of combat. If you wish to claim these for skill points, remember that the 3-round rule still applies.
- 48 hour default times are strictly enforced.
- Dominance fights only.
- All entrants' skills have been recorded as of now and will be locked in for the duration of the tournament. For simplicity, please do not claim any fighting skill points from your fights until you are either eliminated or the tournament has ended.
- The fights should be written as taking place on the Hallows training grounds just outside the castle.
- Threads can be titled whatever you like, so long as they include the Spar tag and have [Tournament] at the end for ease of locating.

Prizes
There will be two prize purses given to the victor as well as the runner up of the tournament, as well as some special goodies for the tournament champion.

Grand Prize
- 500 gems
- A Tourney Champion medal (small accessory)
- A bottle of rare vintage wine from Artorias' private collection
- A free profile redesign of any character of your choosing (see my coding shop for details)

Runner-up Prize
- 200 gems
- A bottle of Hallowed wine
