This seemed to be the event everyone was waiting for so once they wrapped up the fishing tournament and everyone had a chance to eat some lunch and get ready to fight she called everyone together for the big fighting finale. She was glad that she had ended up including this event in the end even though she had originally not planned to have a fighting tournament of any kind. Fighting tournaments just felt expected at a festival like this, but she supposed there was a reason they were so popular. Wolves liked to fight it seemed. She did want to do things a little differently through and landed on this idea for an all out brawl.
She gathered everyone in the large clearing by the lake where the pack typically held their meetings so that there would be plenty of open space for the competitors as well as space on the fringes for anyone that wanted to spectate. She hopped up on the raised piece of slate where her parents typically stood during meetings so that she would be able to see the fights as they happened and be able to be a good judge of which side was winning. "Alright, everyone!" she called out, getting their attention and waiting for any chatter to die down. "For this melee brawl, you will be split into two teams. The team with the most damage dealt or the most knockouts to the other team wins! I've randomly drawn names to create the teams. Team one is Eraithus, Scylla, Imperia, Gossamer, and Saracyn. Team two is Fern, Cerberus, Albion, Chade, and Nirvana. The only rule is no major wounds or maims! Otherwise, go at it!" She had made sure to have Irilyth on stand by to patch up any wounds before they started sending everyone home so her mother's handmaiden was at the ready in case anyone needed her when all was said and done.
"Everyone divide up into your teams! Team one to my left, team two to my right. Take a second to introduce yourselves and strategize if you'd like and then we'll get started!"

Finally into something more appealling than sitting like an idiot in the middle of the congregation. Fighting. Sadly of course nothing beyond dominance would be allowed. If she could only savour fresh and blood, but her face already was painted in crimson by a previous hunt. She approached her young cousin with eyes as cold as ice. She eyed the rest in the same fashion, like if they mattered any to her, no one really did. Nodding to Avacyn's instructions she looked at her partners, wondering if they would add anything. "Imperia Mendacium." She said shortly while her eyes of pink and purple landed on each of their faces. Her ideas wouldnt be too legal if someone asked her for her opinions so for now she would leave the task to the rest.

Imperia is to be leveled as a M character due to the gore and potential sexual themes that could come on her posts.

Avacyn spoke, splitting the combatants into groups. Scylla frowned and watched as her brothers moved to the opposite side. They were being separated. She didn't like that. Chances of her fighting her siblings were high, but she would try not to. They'd all sparred enough and it was time to test her mettle on someone new. Perhaps the grey woman.
As her group drew together, Scylla frowned, noting the only one that she knew here was Saracyn. Dammit. A black and white woman who looked dirty and grimy as hell spoke her name and the very clean, very pretty small fae's lips pursed. She looked to Sara and the edge of her nose curled while she motioned with her eyes towards the dirty fae in a "What the fuck is this?" kind of look. Giving her head a shake, Scylla spoke.
"Hard and fast is the way to go. Do things that they won't expect. This is a melee. A brawl. Anything goes, said the nice lady." Teeth flashed as Scylla grinned. "And if any of you hurt my brother's, I'll hurt you in return."
Scylla should be seen as a very adult character who will indulge in acts that others may find graphic and uncomfortable. Steer clear if you don't like this sort of thing.

Saracyn adjusted the fit of his leather harness as he approached the fighting ring just as Avacyn was calling all the entrants to attention. His dear sister announced the rules of the melee: two teams, no major wounding or maiming of the other team. Saracyn frowned; boring, but he supposed it wouldn't look good on Elysium if someone got seriously injured during their festival. He'd respect Avacyn's rules this time. The teams were announced, and Saracyn turned to face his team with a disappointed scowl on his visage. Really? He had to get paired up with the homicidal badger-wolf and his psycho family member? Great... The only redeeming quality to the teams was when Ava announced that wretched blue urchin Chade as an opponent, and instantly harsh blue eyes turned a cold glare to the wolf in question. Oh, this was going to be fun!
Splitting up to join his team, he glanced over to Imperia, who was for some reason still covered in blood. Had she not had the time nor care to at least clean up some before coming to the festival? He exchanged a leer with Scylla, then just rolled his eyes and shrugged silently when she gave him a questioning look to his second cousin. He didn't attempt to try to reason away how his strange family behaved. Scylla laid out a simple strategy: hit their opponents hard and fast. Then she threatened any of them who went for her bigger brother and Saracyn gave a hard laugh. "Yeah, real scary there, Squirrelly," he shot back, but his icy eyes were already moving back to the enemy team, eyeing up Chade from afar, flexing his paw to extend and retract one of his wrist blades. "Don't you worry about that. I've got my own score to settle."
Warning: Saracyn is an explicitly mature character for violent and sexual content. Read his threads with caution.
Saracyn's designated wolf to protect as a Bodyguard is Avacyn. She may enter his threads not marked as Private.

Albion eventually caught up with his sister and brother in the Elysium festival. He hadn’t forgotten the young girl and boy they had met so long ago on the island and when they all got their he had recognized them in an instant. Mostly though, Albi observed. His surroundings, the other wolves, the different faces that he did not recognize. He found his icy eyes lingering on the shining purple heiress. She was nothing like the two of his sisters in the sea of boys.
Pale ears perked towards her as he listened to the rules she provided them all, but Albion had never been vindictive or particularly violent. He doubted the rules were made with him in mind. As she stated his team the long legged yearling moved to Avacyn’s right. He gave her a little nod of his head before rounding on Cerberus’ shoulder. He looked back over his shoulder at Scylla as she seemed to take the lead for her own team. The pale boy naturally looked to Cerberus for that position.

Voices fill the air as the fighters take up their position in the open field and the spectators look on with eager anticipation. Fern looks over to where Rudyard waits in the crowd and she gives him a wink before turning her attention back to the gathered wolves. When Avacyn hops up onto a raised piece of slate, Fern turns her gaze up to give the wolf her full attention as the chatter begins to die down. Enthusiasm for the upcoming fight can be felt like in the air as the rules are laid out and teams are created.
Fern moves to spot on the right designated for team two and gives her teammates an encouraging smile as they gather. Softly, so as not to let the other team in on their plan, she says, “Since this is a melee, I suggest that three of us pick which opponent they want to attack and two can hang back to rotate in and out with wolves that need help. I can stay back if others want to take the frontline.” Fern doesn’t have a score to settle with anyone so she is content to lend a helping paw when needed. Soft cerulean eyes sweep over her teammates as she waits to hear their thoughts and strategies.

(This post was last modified: 05-14-2022, 06:51 PM by Chade. Edited 1 time in total.)
Chade had been looking about at the many wolves he didn’t know and the few he did recognize. When he spotted Saracyn he certainly wasn’t surprised to see him but Chade inwardly hoped they ended up on opposite sides. It wasn’t for the desire to beat the arrogant bastard but that it wouldn’t be favorable to be teamed up with someone Chade didn’t trust. Logically Saracyn should be able to work with Chade when it was called for but really the blue wolf wasn’t sure.
As the teams were called to split up Chade smiled grimly as he moved to the right side of Ava and to look over his team. Alright, maybe the idea of giving Saracyn a good thrashing sounded fun also. Glancing over his shoulder his eyes locked on Saracyn, a wicked smile momentarily on his features. He’d avoided the haughty wolf when possibly but today would be fun.
Still, the look had only lasted for a second and he turned back to regard his team, listening to Fern’s plan. He had a faint memory of Cerberus in a fight against a giant snake. The wolf had come to their rescue at the time but did he remember Chade as well? They had both been smaller back then but at it gave confidence he knew Cerb could fight. Fern offered up a plan and Chade looked from her back to the other team as he considered it. “I’ve got a ‘friend’ over there that probably won’t give me an option. I’ll try and put him down quickly so I can help the team better and it will take out one of their members anyway. Once Saracyn is down I can help. I guess label me as rotation to start if no one else has a different plan.
Of course they could target Saracyn first as a group but the more Chade thought on it the less he liked the concept. “There are several wolves I don’t know but I’d suggest either the blue wolf or the black one with the white mask,” referring to Eraithus and Gossamer. “Sound, alright?” Hopefully it was, he doubted there was going to be a lot of time given for discussion.

Gossamer kept mostly to herself, watching the other competitors in the earlier events before heading to the start of the tournament. She had tried to eat but her nerves wouldn't let her sos he skipped lunch. She slipped off her satchel and handed it over to Ásta who wished her good luck. Gossy smiled lightly and nodded her thanks before joining the others. They were to be split into two teams and she listened closely to see who she was assigned with, watching the eyes of the yearling to best pin names to faces. She nodded and moved to join her team.
"Gossamer," she introduced herself swiftly and listened as a small, slate and white femme, who she gathered to be Scylla, spoke up with a strategy then warned about hurting her brothers. Gossamer chuckled. "And they are? I make no promises, but don't worry I don't intended to hurt anyone badly. However, if no blood is spilt can we really call it a fighting tournament?" She scanned the opposing side. "I'm fine with any of them as an opponent. Do we want to try and divide and conquer in one on one fights or try to swarm one target and bathe in the chaos?" She was good either way. For so many young fighters it might be easier to try and pair off but a giant dog pile would be a lot of fun.

As Cerberus was separated from Scylla but paired with Albion he couldn't deny that bit of disappointment he felt. He wouldn't expect to face off with his sister given the amount of others there were available, but he would have rather the three of them work together. Everything had their own obstacles it seemed.
With Albion looking up to him silently as he did, Cerberus turned his attention to Fern who started with a general plan. Cerberus had certainly lost more against strangers than won, so he wouldn't shoot her down and would listen to what she had to offer. "I have a feeling they'll target two on one if we hang back. Maybe if two of us on the ends just don't engage until necessary? Maybe that will throw them off a bit." He put his input in, but didn't want to be rude in his counter suggestions. He just didn't want two of them to be "hanging back", he'd rather them be at the ready.

Eraithus stretched his limbs out in front of him as Kespie settled on his shoulders. The owls keen eyes seemingly judging the strangers around him. He wasnt usually the shy type in fact the man was rather comfortable with new faces. As he was instructed he met with his group who already were scheming. His ears twitched listening was just as important as speaking up. Eraithus didnt know what to.think the place was so different compared to the volcanic rumble he was used to by now.
"Im good ranged or close, wherever you thinkn id be good. My name is Eraithus!." the gentleman smiled and wagged his tail. Taking in the scents the real reason he joined this festival could have been so he could see some of the other.packs. Proudly he wore Habaris scent and the idea of a fight made his heart soar. His blue gaze settled on his companions as he continued to smile gently.

Nirvana listened to the rules, unable to keep down the little flicker of pride that came with seeing Avacyn at the top. She was doing well for herself, a yearling that conducted herself with grace and poise. Good. What a good kid... not that she was surprised. Manea tended to do a good job of that, hell, she'd even shaped Nirvana into something that resembled a decent young lady. At least she knew how to pretend.
As her team gathers, they begin speaking of strategy. She stands at their sides, listening... hm. Listening, but there was only one target in her sights. Nirvana would be throwing herself, full bore, at Imperia when the time came. Anything goes but fight fair, good enough. There were a lot of strangers around her, and for that... well, for that she'd at least do her best to keep up appearances. There was a winter chill around them, something that she's overall okay with. High headed and ready, but still listening to whatever plan. Half listening was listening enough, right? Something like that.
But could they get on with it? Ah, in her lack of social graces, she hasn't introduced herself. Still, in her mind, it doesn't necessarily matter. Nirvana just wants to fight.

Avacyn settled down onto her haunches as the competitors split into their teams and she watched curiously as they spoke among themselves and began to settle on some strategies. It was interesting to see who spoke up with ideas or contributed or who seemed to take the lead among the groups since she assumed most of them were strangers or at least fairly new to one another. In fact, the only ones that might have fought together before that had ended up on the same team were Albion and Cerberus. It certainly hadn't been intentional to have it work out that way, the teams had been entirely random, but this was partially why she wanted it to be random, to give them all a chance to fight along side someone new. After an appropriate amount of time had passed, she stood again, gathering their attention. "Alright! Time for planning is up! Everyone take your positions!" She gave them a brief moment to square off against one another and with a little smirk she called out, "Ready... Set... Begin!"

The preparations, if you could call them that, were complete and Avacyn began speaking once more. Scylla rolled her shoulders and neck, loosening up her joints. The young wolf's dual gaze shifted from one wolf to the next on the opposing side. This was going to be easy. How did she know? Because she and Sara were on the same team and they were both raging assholes. Maybe she just needed to get him a little mad and he would fight even harder. The teams squared up and Scylla found herself standing next to the big red boy. One paw reached out and gave him a "good game" tap on the rump. "Go get 'em, Strawberry." Before he could react or smack her back, the small wolf was rocketing towards her temporary enemies.
Scylla targeted the grey woman since she didn't want to bite Cerberus or Albion. There was a wicked gleam in the girl's eye and she was actually giggling and hooting as she closed the distance between them. Her small size allowed her to be fast. Ridiculously fast. As she neared, Scylla's jaws opened wide as though she would bite down on the woman's foreleg, but in the end she feinted to the side, instead ducking under the grey fae. Shifting on a dime, Scylla aimed to slide between the woman's front legs, then curl back once more, using her mile long tail to hopefully trip the woman up. Once she'd slithered through, those open jaws sought to sink into the fae's knee. If successful, she would then plant her paws and use both her tripwire tail to pull the fae and her teeth and meager body weight to push the fae. Either way, Scylla knew she was going down.
Scylla should be seen as a very adult character who will indulge in acts that others may find graphic and uncomfortable. Steer clear if you don't like this sort of thing.

The time for planning ended and it was time for the battle to begin. Gossamer smoothly set her defenses and waited for the official start. She looked over their opponents, sizing up each one in turn before the start was officially declared. Gossamer kicked off, claws ripping up dirt and soil as she charged for a gorgeous dark-pelted femme (Nirvana).
The goal was to hit hard and fast and Gossamer wasted no precious movement dancing about as she attacked straight on. Gossamer attempted to slam her chest square into Nirvana's, her front limbs raising as she attempted to slam each of her paws down on top of the other woman's. In unison with her chest slam she attempted to lance her fangs across the woman's left cheek and spill first blood.

Albion wasn’t so sure how he felt about the plan that was formed but when Cerberus agreed he wouldn’t decide to fight it. As usual he was quiet as his teammates spoke. It was easier to listen than it was to comment or raise his own voice. Who would listen to him over the more experienced wolves anyway. He took in a deep breath as time ran out and Avacyn’s sweet voice filled the air once more.
Then all at once the chaos erupted. Albion was a stout child, he was heavy despite his looks and could hold his own better than many his size. His dense bones made some things hard but certainly gave him an advantage in battle. His ghostly blue gaze had his sights set on the older wolf on the opposing team (Imperia), the bloody black and white woman. Albion wouldn’t be intimidated.
Using his heavy weight Albi leapt towards her, aiming to slam his shoulder into his and knock her down to take an early win.

The team talks and Fern nods to the other ideas offering quiet support for them. As Avacyn calls for them to take up positions, the gray girl looks over her teammates and says, “Just do what feels right. We are to have fun… and win.” A huge grin appears as they split up, moving to toe the starting line with the members of her team. When Avacyn kicks off the party, the gray girl jogs slowly forward and her eyes roam the opposing team, waiting to see if someone charges her.
In the end a familiar face charges her. A small streak of cobalt and cream comes barreling toward straight toward her. Ah! The Fenmyre pup had come to play too! Fern angles her body to intercept Scylla and charges her start on. They are two trains wound up and set on an inevitable course, each moment drawing them toward the final conclusion. She smiles at the giggling, hooting form, ready to fight a worthy opponent. And worthy she is!
Scylla is small and has speed on her size so, when the cobalt and cream wolf feints to her side, Fern almost loses track of her. Actually, she does lose track of her as Scylla ducks under her! The tickling of the small wolf’s fur on her underside has the gray girl giggling and missing the tripwire tail that Scylla has made. Only when she feels teeth sink in to her knee does Fern finally catch on. Oh, hell no. She is not getting tripped.
With all her built-up momentum, Fern throws every bit of her weight toward the side Scylla is biting. She aims to try and tumble over (and maybe even onto) the smaller form of Scylla. As she falls, Fern lashes out at anything and everything that is not a piece of herself. Even as she growls and snarls, the gray girl cannot stop thinking about happy she is and how much fun she is having!

The time for plans was over and honestly Cerberus was thankful for it. He would have much rather gone in blindly against the other group. Maybe that wasn't much team work but... he wasn't much a team player other than with his siblings. No one else really mattered to him other than family even as kind as he may have come off. It didn't seem the original plan would be making the tables because it flew right over Cerberus' head as soon as the fights had started.
He smirked as he saw just from his side eye, Scylla wrapping herself all around the grey woman beside him. Oh... that probably wasn't very good uh teamwork. Well, he'd have to make his own go. With little to choose from now, Cerberus leaps forwards and goes right for Scylla's perfect little strawberry with high paws hoping to come back down on the boy's shoulders. He seemed rather capable of himself just by looks, Cerberus knew from his last visit that Saracyn would not be so easy to bend. He'd see him as a worthy opponent at least. That faint bit of uncertainty in the battles he had lost prior was there but he couldn't let that bother him in the moment. His attempt to hug Saracyn around his shoulders in place, he would also go to latch a bite down on the top of his right shoulder.

(This post was last modified: 05-18-2022, 12:10 PM by Chade. Edited 1 time in total.)
Chade noticed that teaming up on one opponent might not happen regardless of the plan. Well, the blue wolf was hoping to finish Saracyn fast and move on to assist with the other wolves. The back of his mind knew that wasn’t very likely. Saracyn wasn’t without fighting skills but Chade needed a set plan of action and so that’s what he had come up with.
When the announcement was made to fight Chade didn’t hesitate. Without glancing to any others he charged straight for the red and black wolf. Unfortunately, Chade wouldn’t be the only one attacking Saracyn. It was a festival fight with teams so it was all fair but still, Chade had wanted to beat Saracyn alone. There was no way he’d go for another target right now. The other wolf had gone after the red and black demon head-on so Chade ran past the head to attempt to bite into a back leg and pull back to hopefully hinder Saracyn’s balance so the other wolf might have an edge with the frontal assault.

Impatience was a constant on the mendaciums woman, irritated that they wouldnt start already, lips curled a bit in frustration eyes fixed in all the wolves around. Wondering how she could beat up. Tongue passing over her fangs of dried blood. Ready to have fun in the way she only felt like such. As she gazed around she heard steps rushing her way. She snarled but before anything she saw a light wolf rush and slam his shoulder against hers. She aimed to move a bit aiming to make it nor hit her completely but still feeling his shoulder painfully blush against hers. She would attempt to turn her frontal body against him before aiming to clamp her jaws over his snout, wanting to have them shut within hers.
Imperia is to be leveled as a M character due to the gore and potential sexual themes that could come on her posts.

After some moments of discussion and planning, Avacyn called the start of the brawl, beginning the fight with a simple countdown. As soon as she gave the command to begin, Scylla was giving him some teasing cheering, followed by an unexpected slap to his rump. The sudden enthusiastic tap to his ass made the boy's eyes widen in shock and a stunned yap escape his muzzle, too surprised to do anything but watch as the wild squirrel wolf ran headfirst directly into battle. He watched her, eyes wide and furious and mouth agape for a moment—until he realized one of the enemies was coming straight for him. Icy cobalt eyes locked with Cerberus and he swiftly set his stance, lunging forward to intercept his opponent's attack. Cerberus would come down on him, but in doing so, he would position Saracyn beneath him and well within biting range of the yearling's soft underside.
Saracyn bared his serrated fangs and lunged up as Cerberus came down, aiming to get a good hold underneath where his foe's left foreleg and torso met, in the soft bit of flesh under his arm. If he was successful, he would then use his greater size to try and push Cerberus back on his hind legs, aiming to throw him off balance. However, as he was focused on Cerberus, he didn't see Chade until he felt the teeth in his hind leg. Saracyn snarled and jerked and kicked his hind leg, attempting to throw the other wolf off of him. Though he had a size advantage on both yearlings, being outnumbered two to one did not bode well for his odds. He needed help from his team. Saracyn gave a distressed bark out for anyone to hear, hoping someone from his team would see the situation he was in and at least take the big blue asshole off of him.
